    I saw this match in houston live. Thought it was the best match I saw.truls was spectacular.he stole the first game right under quadri nose,dominated the second game.That set the tone for the match.quadri ran nine points in a row in the third & truls blasted one down the line to remind him it was far from over.Truls is a very talented table tennis pro at just 19 years old. deserves all the respect he is getting

      Agree, from an insolent child to an adolescent who respects his opponents. I would never believe that someday I'll be rooting for him. In past I would only laugh at him because of his bigheadedness, but now I realize how much he's grown.

      The Question ahead of the clash with Bolls is whether Moregard can take down the "King of Europe". Boll relies on being extremely precise and extremely consistent with few mistakes. In many ways, his style is the opposite of Moregard who relies on extreme variation and high risk/high reward. If Boll is struggling with injury, Moregard's chances increase significantly....

      I also think Aruna lost on his backhands. Besides, he put too much force into his forehands and can not recover when the ball comes back. Once he improves in these 2 points, he would be unstoppable. Truls is promising talent who needs time and experience to go further than his world 77th ranking. More impressive than the win against Lim. Am now genuinely unsure who’ll win the semi-. Boll usually eats other Europeans for breakfast....but he’s carrying that side injury. Plus he lost to Aruna recently. I want Boll to win - sole survivor of an era when several European men could actually compete with China, and he deserves it after the virus robbed him in Budapest - but this could be Moregard’s moment. Plus I dig the playing style. He even toned down the celebration at the end. My head says Boll.

      just noticed this is the new cybershape blade being advertised.

    • @goenisch
      @goenisch Před 2 lety +2

      You have a slightly bigger sweet spot with this blade which allows more top quality shots.

    • @AncientWisdom222
      @AncientWisdom222 Před 2 lety

      It cuts down on the negative area near the handle and adds positive area near the top. So racquet to racquet comparison this shape has more striking area.

    • @chimyshark
      @chimyshark Před 2 lety

      @@AncientWisdom222 interesting info, but the angular shape is irrelevant to that parameter, because you can just make a round racket that's egg shaped with the wide part out in front.

    • @AncientWisdom222
      @AncientWisdom222 Před 2 lety

      @@chimyshark The reverse pear shaped racket was brought in market some eight or ten years ago but did not pick up at all. The cybershape is an improvement on the same. As someone has pointed out , it expands the sweet spot. Just like the shorter bat with long handle in cricket.

    Seems quadri relies too much on his forehand to take points, but his footwork cant really support his forehand. He did a couple of forehands in the backhand corner and truls could just block to his wide forehand to expose his weak footwork.

      You are delusional. These tricks, which are done because his fundamentals aren’t good enough to win, will never have him beat any of the top Chinese players. He needs to improve his fundamentals a lot more before that happens. People forget that besides great touch and talent, Waldner had great fundamentals (other than maybe footwork). But he didn’t need it since he had great anticipation and reaction
