He is no impressive..just good player.. bad defeat for Lebrun
that FH seems almost undefendable at times, Alexis had virtually no good replies when he hit that FH drive well.

Alexis used to death the tactics of receiving short to the wide forehand of Aruna, with pretty mixed success. At the same time Aruna's receive game was incredibly solid as always, even against Alexis' dirty tricks. All in all a very entertaining match and even if he lost, a great showing from Alexis for his return to comp. It's not over yet btw, Felix and him have real chances in men's doubles - go Lebruns!!!

aruna's experience really shone through...Alexis can learn from his game as their styles are quite similar....power and footwork..
I think Aruna's footwork is his weakness. He started winning more when he improved his lower body strength but here he seems to be back to unsteady stances again.

@@rodrigoangelo488 Alexis is coming back from an injury but he did beat Harimoto who is a much better player than LYJ.Alexis is probably gonna be better than his younger brother because the shakehand grip is simply more stable and versatile than penhold.

Alexis tried to play on his powerful and speed game, but Aruna is one of the few players able to follow him on THIS side of the game.

Quadri's FH technique is so different, I wonder if he is finding much more spin or power this way.

@@solideomusical I'm glad you asked! Pounded yam is a Nigerian food, made from boiled yams. The yams are then mashed ('pounded') together. Similar to mashed potatoes, but thicker and heavier. Pounded yam is rich in carbs and protein, so that's where I suspect Uncle quadri is getting his power from lol

Not Sure Why Lebrun Was Missing so Much Balls. But he played unlike the player I knew he used to be.
First competition in months, just coming back from injury
Felix better player he just finished them quick without tricks and circus shots .
The only way I can tell a difference between Lebrun and his twin is that one of them plays penhold and the other shakehand
Plus the fact that Felix Lebrun is 3 years younger and has a completely different style of playing.
@@Scarbosul they don't even have the same body shape. Alexis' upper body is much stronger than Felix's one, Felix is leaner, with longer segments
Aruna is cool, but i think he would be even better if his B.M.I. was as good as the others in top 20
Bruns short game has gotten better
But his backhands look indescivive
Rushing somwhere all the time is not good
The first round is so ugly most of the points are lost rather than won as in the opposition can easily reach the ball yet put it on the net or outs. Second round Lebrun starts making great counters and Aruna starts having one shot that has great spin and positioning.
Is it from the effect of less used rubber type of Aruna that cause the groggy starts I wonder.
