It's more or less psychological factor here being the older brother and probably most of the times winning (Alexis). It's like a mental block for Felix. He is way better than Alexis overall.

@@BjoernSteltingTT yes, but what he means is alexis has a ton of pressure especially when he's the oldest but hasn't gotten good results recently
It could be Felix's penhold style poses challenges to other players who can rarely find a top penhold player to practice with, while Alexis plays with Felix every day.
@@satinwoodterthis is definitely it, Felix has a weird style and pace that others can’t figure out in time, Alexis knows that pace by heart being his training partner

Felix is higher in world ranking because he is better overall. But that does not mean Felix is better than Alexis in their one-to-one.
We've known that for awhile. Even when Felix surpassed Alexis in rankings he would still lose to Alexis internally
Alexis is better against penhold and Felix is better against european grip, one pays off more overall

@@jorn957He's had a lot of injuries since he was 10, which slowed his progress, and in 2023, he was out for almost 5 months due to a knee injury.

yes and i suppose he changing a little bit his gripp sometime that is really bad theorically

@@JesseWhite10 It is actually quite comfortable, I don't want to play with that grip but when I loosen my fingers it turns like that and my finger pulls really high. Makes both forehand and backhand easier to hit in front of the body, and makes more spin, but I think it makes my consistancy worse So I have been trying to choke up a bit more with my grip

Competition is healthy between them, this competition between brothers explains their level today. They must have played thousands of matches, and pulled each other up.

Felix never learned how to play against his brother. Alexis is much more technical, although Felix is ranked higher

@@gustavoc6812the guy's back looks like a tree and he plays really smart too with unusual serves and off the table playing style. He looks like he's ready for truls. I think darko jorgic and alexis will meet in the finals

Alexis is powerful but lacks of courage on receive, he never flicks from the table, he only pushes and chops then his trying to counter from mid-distance. His receive game is his weak point, his receives are too passive, that's why Felix is higher ranked.
Alexis is much more technical ? Sorry but it's quite the opposite.

Ils veulent se "tuer" sportivement depuis toujours, et ça explique sûrement leur niveau aujourd'hui.
Now I m really not liking Alexis, who falls to the ground after beating his younger brother? Should have been a warm small celebration.. Plus now he will lose to someone else.. At least Felix had better chances against others.

@24ghosh24 You are delusional. This is a sport and both gave it their everything - it's totally normal. People fall to the ground in sports all the time.

@24ghosh24 Ok, maybe you are different. But I can assure you nobody else misinterprets their match like that. You hug after the match but during the match your brother is your opponent, that's sports.
