I watched this live. So hard to pick highlights for this because about 80% of the points were crazy rallies like this. Amazing players.

Honestly, they're skipping so many rallies and I know it's because each one is so long but that's what we want to see!!

@@yaweli2968 Ma Long won twice Table Tennis Grand Slam reward(Gold medal in Olympic, World Championship, and World Cup) and Liam even can't win one of the top game Gold medal, don't give me that. Winning a match is one thing, keeping winning the Gold medal is another

This is such a confidence boost for Liang Jingkun, after being given the opportunity to play at the big stage. Kudos to Liam - he shows that European players are really getting that much better. Gotta admit that the change in ball size and material really benefits more rally plays.
concidering the last gen of ball spins as much as celluloid ball i don't understand why you say that but ok. i just bought 10 DHS balls same as pro tour and compared them to DHS celluloid and there's no difference in touch or hardness. both seamed the same way. therefore no difference. ball tech has been shit in the 1st years but now it's frankly perfect. no difference at all.

Liang is so mature and mentally strong now. I thought most players wouldn’t want to go toe to toe against Pitchford’s backhand, but Liang has one of the technically best backhands. So he is not afraid to rally there.

Please position the main camera properly. Ideally at one of the corners where you already seem to have a camera. I realize advertisers and sponsors bring in money, but sometimes you need to realize that short term money is nothing compared to what is good for our beloved sport of table tennis. Please do the right thing.

i love the new camera angles for showing a much less foreshortened perspective. in the traditional shots the sponsors are just as visible on the sidewalls. what is the difference that you're referring to? the floor mat sponsors? im not a long time viewer/player so am genuinely curious

Didn’t shout it at LJK shouted it at Liam eating a banana between sets, I was sat behind him. It was an Asian man with his brother. Making a joke about Liam eating a snack. But the context didn’t get included in the live stream just a sound bite

Liam Pitchford gives table tennis its true name----tennis on the table. It was so entertaining. I love to watch him to play. Many thanks to both players.
The name "table tennis" was formally adopted because "ping pong" was a trade name and the company sued.
Pitch shows that this sport is about control and ideas and being different... Everyone at this stage has power and explosiveness... You need many other things to challenge the elite. Well played by him and I hope he can continue on this path!
Whatever system/design they're using with the cameras in this video, that's the way to do it. Fantastic camera angles, ball is always easily visible, and you don't have to guess at what kind of shot they made. You feel more like you're in the game. Much better for us long-distance spectators.
Liam is so great! seriously...if he joins Chinese League tournament, he may even win Liang..so close.

Now I understand why LGL (head coach) drafted LJK, LGY and WCQ to the big stage this time. With more experience and confidence, they would take over and soon become the next super power generation like ML, ZJK and XX. LJK has improved so much over the last year or so, incredible. WCQ, if consistent, will be very formidable for anyone. LGY has made a good come back, might be after vigorous training. Can't wait to watch the semi's now, whoa!

Great strategic play by LJK. Became more comfortable opening and using his backhand mid distance from the table. Also was not afraid to challenge Pitchford in the longer rallies. Just wish he was more vocal during crucial times (especially in the seventh game).
