1:02 Lim plays an amazing backhand, commentator: What a forehand!
he got confused since Lim is lefty.
Wth hahah
frustration, racket throw, the yellow card, a time out, a change in game plan, some strawberries and bananas and the change of pace..this match had it all
Sorry to ask, but why did he get a yellow card??
@@bangaddy he threw the racket to the other side
@@24ghosh24 Ahh I see, thanks.
Truls in all its glory
@@tabletennis9968 freaked youngster
This have got to be the Greatest Comeback In TT. I know it's probably not the 1st time someone came back from down 0-3. But the trickery and tactics Truls came up with made it legendary.
Michael maze in 2005 quarter final is better
Michael Maze x Hao Shuai, Worlds 2005.
Watch it.

@@NastyMick Timo it's just 1 set
LJK vs Calderano
What a clever change of tactics at 0-3 from Moregard, he completely got into Lim's head with those unusual receives and blocks, very well done !
Good game! But honestly a bit lucky for Truls, I think the Korean coach should take most of the responsibility, the unclear strategy in the 4-6 set caused Lim to really lose his game rhythm and focus.
@@katouchun182 Eh, if the coach says something stupid and the player listens, it's on them. In the end it comes down to the players.
Is his tactic bad manner? Winning by BM is just no skill
Wow - this kid has talent! Best swedish guy since J.O.Waldner!!!
The WORST set of highlights, and the WORST commentary I've every heard, yet ironically, one of the best comebacks ever. Legendary comeback.
so you're saying the match is good but the way WTT presented it was bad? (I mean fair enough bad commentators, highlights don't do the match justice and questionable default camera angle that could be better)
Yeah pleased he put a plug in the gob of that loud mouthed Lim fella, unsportsmanlike and completely unnecessary
@@MrGeezuz And moregard isn't loud mouthed to you!? (nothing against moregard, I like him, but if you don't like loud mouthed or egoistic people I would have thought you'd disliked moregard)
The commentary was awful. Calling a backhand shot as ‘what a forehand’ around the 1.05 minute?Seriously?
@@gab5012 in what way is he egoistical? You portray him as he is a real douchebag. Kinda overexaggerating?
Jes this is so fascinating to watch it's almost that truls is so desperate that he started to pull out chopblock strawberry to play the mindgame n actually come back such creativity demonstrated at the world's biggest stage
So funny how hard Lim was struggling with the change of returns. Even pros having a hard time with a sudden change of speed and style.
Fascinating how a top player totally misjudges that return at 3:40 ??
@@rotzooi2345 I reccomend you to watch some Koki Niwa's chop block compilation where most pros dump his chop blocks into the net. It happens because they are not used to such unexpected awkward balls
mid-game.
@@marcindziwura5589 It's still surprising because it looks like an amateur mistake! Us recreational players make mistakes that look identical to Lim's mistake at 3:40 for example. Of course he's not going to make it as many times, but it's still a bit shocking whenever you do see it.
@@HawkOfGP Yes, I agree! It's very suprising. I guess pros are humans after all.
You see young players like truls in every sport. Give him a few years to mature and he'll be not only a top 10 player but a role model for good sportsmanship 👍
Wow. That was a heck of a comeback!
Awesome buddy !!! Congrats 💪💪👏👏👏
After trailing 0-3 in sets, Moregard has then found the winning formula.
Yes!
Although Truls is pretty unstable and makes me laugh all the time with his nervousness, this time I have to give credit where credit's due. What an outstanding comeback! didn't expect that whatsoever

Best table tennis comeback since Michael Maze 2005...
Dear @ World Table Tennis, will there be some fully recorded matches in future on this channel :) ?
FUKING INCREDIBLE COMEBACK!!!
Fight always to the finish! In every game!
Woooooow, i was about to cry by impressed! 'Twas really great comeback, Truls Möregårdh!! Keep going!!
Wow, frustrated half the match, finds a way to win points, and then bursts out with emotion! One of the best comebacks in table tennis history!
Gotta give him credit, he made a strategic shift in his approach after taking a pounding, Shows you the depth and versatility to his game.
I miss the good old times with Waldner, JO Appelgren those were some awsome times to see. TT isn't what it's been before. Liked the matches better before and the old way of counting to 21 and 5 serves each.
Reminiscent of Michael Maze’s comeback against Hao Shuai in the 2005 WTTC
Mazes comeback was even better!
Or LJK against Calderano
I love this match, I watched it several times and I'm crazy about the last scream of Truls Moregard it's fantastic 😂
Truls is my new favorite player. Love the feistiness and passion. Nothing wrong with showing a little anger that’s how I used to play the game. Great variation in his game, waldner esque
Go 🇸🇪 🏓
Exactly !! Finally a human among the robots he is showing frustration because he is so damn passionated by this game.
Being disrespectful and unsportsmanlike to your opponent, that’s how you used to play?
Nothing wrong with emotions, anger, passion, throwing your racket. Maybe even kicking the table. That’s all part of the game, but trying so hard to look like you don’t care at all, just to get into your opponent’s head, and even mocking him, that is not worthy of a player at this level and has nothing to do with the “passion” you mentioned.
Great performance nonetheless, hopefully he can go far.
Peace
I believe his bad behavior makes not only me but also other fans uncomfortable. That's true. Look like an amateur and spoiled kid.
a little anger?lmao
@@filipcernota4538 totally agree. Very strange that he wasn't warned by the refeerees. He should learn something from the Chinese. They win so much and don't behave this way when they are losing.
People keep hating on Truls "unsportsmanship behaviour", but no one is mentioning that Lim chos like Harimoto and grunts like Ovtcharov.
Here Truls shows what talent is. Wonderful to see he stopped celebrating a point won. This is like Waldner and Truls is the greatest talent since Waldner.
Such bs I have never seen before, fortunately he is not like Waldner, that man would be not even top 100 if he played today
@@gigliolavaccari7482 Nonsense
He has a big talent: he is creative and I enjoy that very much. Now concerning his level, it will be great if he can win a set with FZD.
@@gigliolavaccari7482 ??? waldner at is prime was one of the best, he had one of the best placement and anticipation skills. But he is older now (i don't know is you was meaning that)
PS: sorry for my english
E como diz o meu ditado popular:
" Quem grita por último, grita melhor "...
Surreal o que o Truls moregard fêz nesse jogo!😳👏👊🏓
Truls was so quiet and calm at all times! Vs the South korean who was just embarrasing himself with those screams
The technical styles of Moregard remind me so much of JO Waldner. His way of playing backhand is distinctive among European players.
best match ever seen. almost.
Wow impressed by Moregard. Even if he throwed his paddle he seems to me like he was the main character of an anime or a tv show amazing. His receives were pure gold this is all I love about this game, creativity and passion. Thank you Truls and good luck. ( Please don't throw your paddle again)
I would say he's being over dramatic but then this is the world championship which is as serious and dramatic as it gets. He can be as egoistic as he wants if he succeeds
He just moved the racket to his side of the table :-))
yes well if my bat had been created in a school woodshop like that one I would probably chuck it as well

Truls is probably the most talented player of this generation, I love his chop blocks and his consistent way of playing. I hope he'll win a medal, it would be an amazing result!!
Uhm what? You like Truls consistency? :D
@@niklaskras5498 he has to improve mentally speaking, but I think he has a complete all-round style also full of tricks and he is a great blocker imho

Qué madera lleva el Koreano? Parece una Innerforce ALC??
what a comeback.i did not expect he will win.after all that frustration.sometimes truls have good strength.sometime's it's bad.
1:03 "what a forehand!!", but that's his backhand though 😂😂
truls is really showing off the power of that new stiga heptagon
Truls is showing off period.
He shows what fighting means and keep calm
@@tomtrana3449 keep calm ? You didn't see the hole match I think ^^ But great fight in the end, and yes a better calm too but it's easier to keep calm when you're upsetting your opponent :)
It is an octagon shape blade. 11 percent more area at the upper top half and 2 percent less at the lower bottom half. Increased sweet spots means faster shots.
@@canicetang8837 what model is it?
That is a great summary of what I have just seen. Couldn't articulate it better.
When are they going to fix te camera angle?
Lim: Sounds like he won the game after every point taken.
Truls: Makes the sound once...
Wow, just wow.
wow amazing comeback a lucky day from golden boy!
why not show all points of such a great match???
What a comeback!!!!

Nice blade, that cybershape from Truls. It seems to have a slippery handle… ☺️ Nice recovery 👏
LOL!!! very slippery indeed
Best response ever ROFL
Happy to hear Truls cry at the end!!👍
Nice game and show of emotions. You have to use every trickery in order to win!
Nah, it’s a sport. We expect sportsmanship not gamesmanship.
Truls Moregardh 3 4-3 wins in a row. Next is Aruna and then Timo Boll
Any Way to Watch the Full Match? :/
Best match so far!
Grado no LJK vs Pictford and vs Calderano
Epic comeback..cool man...
love you
What a great match by Truls! Down 0-3 to change tactics. Also this is a positive endorsement for the newest Stiga Cybershape Octagon shaped blade where he got additional power and blocks. Just as it was advertised.
What happened? Lim could not handle the chop block and side spin? I look forward to seeing their next meeting.
he is so pissed off ! he could not break the service, awesome game-changer with the effects rubber quality 100%! come on pal you are gonna win this, if you can beat Calderano is going to be your strongest rival.
Truls is by far the most creative/entertaining European player today. He would be unstoppable if he got his temperament under control. Maybe a Kickstarter campaign to send him to a meditation retreat for a couple of weeks? :)
He's not athletic enough, slow feet.
@@DaMeatGrinda He can move when he needs to
You can throw tandrem and be another Mackanroe if you like or be a gracious winning Warner. Your choice.
Agree mostly. His temperament is one of his best assets but has be tamed. I mean explosiveness, winner mentality etc. Learn from the Chinese table tennis and integrate breathing methods (it's a natural part of their culture gi gong, tai chi & martial arts). All moves are connected to the breathing. I'm convinced it's an important part of the Chinese success.
The advantages are obvious: increased mental control, better flow coordination movements (what is consistency!), better oxygenation of the muscles (prevent accumulation lactic acid). There are more!
In Truls case maybe better start there.
@@visionblow do you have a link to more detailed info on this?
Do nada youtube?
The new era of Moregard and Jorgic coming. Absolutely tenacious
We need more of this in tt!
More paddle throwing ?
Truls managed to stop Lims onesided offense through varied receiving and blocks and he could kill points with his strong forehand-loop. Those who critizises the players behaviour probably has not played themselves at à High level. Great compliments to the players!
Still, most high level players managed to hold the urge to vent the stress towards their opponents. If you have to throw your racket, throw it under your own foot, not towards your opponent.
Inacreditável esse Lin deu uma de calderano.
Wow...turning the tide!!Played under the pressure...i hope this game is not scripted!
Great unexpected match.
Insane match, well played Truls!
Well played to throw racket to his opponent. No manners.
Lim invested emotionally too much which backfired when Truls started his change of plan at the end of set 3
Imagination better than power.
Impressive!!!
1:58 Don't throw the racket please
make good videos please. XD
Act maturely with good sportsmanship will make a great champion. I recognize some Truils shots were used by Jan Warner.
@@JasminsBoss Waldner*
Please make truls no manner playing video! Umpire should picked the red card to truls!
Mmmm I agree with you but he's young. Even if he have a temperament it's impressive that he could change his focus. and win in the end
Unfortunately, video is too short.
Fantastic play Truls!
What a manner. 👏👏
Grymt bra Truls!!
Golden comeback
next level play
That was a clever tactic. He played on the weakness of the opponent. No spin drives really won it for him.
Truls and Jorgic use anger as motivation
what does the yellow card in the scoreline mean?
1:59 that was the reason
Great mental resilience and tactics from Moregard with a well-deserved shout at the end. Players like Lim and harimoto rely on making their opponents lose concentration with their disrespectful shouts after every point. Moregard had an extremely hard time in the first 3 games due to this reason. But he let his racket do the talking for him and prevailed in the end. That final Cho must have felt amazing!
he let his racket do the talking is right... when he threw it lol
He can't win with normal shots, he had to used trick shots. Well, will see if he can win next match. Lim is a great player he has speed and power that can take down the Chinese players. Unfortunately, he did not know what to do with the trick shots
He had a chance this time with his weird new racket and some tricks but I don't think we will see him a lot next time.
Jabardast!
Excited match! Glad to see young player raising, especially European player.
But throwing racket is definitely not good sportsmanship in court.
I would have gone mad had I been Truls playing against such disgraceful opponent. Throwing the racket? I would have eaten the racket. Or the table.
Lim screamed after winning net-balls and opponent errors. Where I come from you don't cheer for those points. In fact, you raise your hand as an apology for winning a luck/chance point.
So lovely to see that Truls managed to shut Lim up with total silence.
Don't feed the trolls they say.
Don't feed the Truls, Lim later learned.
@@olazabalwikstrom 뭔 개소리야.
