What a great game!!!! I was cheering for Moregard but still what a game well played both players.
Great match. As a Slovenian myself I of course was on Jorgič the whole time but I was amazed by various techniques from Moregard (unique and risky serves, he payed for them a lot), gutsy comebacks, and emotional involvement (I am actually happy that the umpire let Moregard's outbursts sly)... World class performance.

Calling this game spectacular would be a massive understatement. Comeback, heart attack at the very end, rage and joy. A 14 minute ferris wheel of emotions.

WHAT A MATCH! WOW! great shots by both players. emotions at the end understandable after that fight. truls with some crucial service errors though. that hurt a lot.

Though Jorgic edged out at the end, I'll bet my money on Moregard as his close table game is better suited to challenge the Chinese. Truls needs to control his emotion and keep calm. Check how many service errors he committed at the key moments, that's ridiculous.

What a breathtaking match. Truls could’ve won if he stayed calm. But he’s still young.
Möregardh Style is so well adapted to the new ball! Just smash the ball flat with no spin as much as possible! His blade is also well built for this style!
He only does that against spin, he spins quite a bit! But you're right those punches are ridiculous!!

@@mega2codnoob Still this is really difficult to do against top players like Boll and Jorgic as you can see he missed too much of them in the last games of this match
The thing about Truls is about his trickiness, like tricky serves, frequent chop blocks, etc. Problem is top players and coaches won’t take much time to figure those out. What matters at the top level are skills and techniques, where Truls still needs improvement, most glaring example being his BH techniques.

Very entertaining to watch, both players with a promising performance, style, creativity and dynamics. I bet they will find their place in the world top ten, the sooner the better.

Gotta compliment the mental fortitude of Darko. After working so hard for every point and losing to many nets and edges he was able to come back. Amazing. Also, Stiga tomahawk shaped racket when?

I do believe Truls gave Darko a foothold to comeback in this match. He didn't fight at all in that 5th game. Plus he rushed 2 serves and put himself back. On the other hand Darko didn't stop fighting and started adapting! Beautiful match one for the books!!

Qué partido tan impresionante! Jorgic en forma extraordinaria y Moregard cargado de magia en cada golpe. Mi jugador favorito pese al gran trabajo de humildad y control emocional que le queda por delante.
Son todavía jugadores muy jóvenes, cargados de emociones fuertes y les cuesta controlar lo que sienten. Dos jugadores magníficos, y me encanta cómo juega Moregard, le dio un repaso a Timo Boll pero a veces te encuentras con un estilo que es desfavorable para tu juego.Con experiencia llegarán muy lejos internacionalmente.

@@FainNeinGudTwain no sé, yo veo a Moregard más como un jugador ofensivo. Tiene ciertos bloqueos con efecto que me recuerdan un poco más a Koki Niwa que a Waldner, aunque ahora muchos jugadores lo hacen también, como Gauzy por ejemplo. Waldner para mí era un jugador más de controlar los puntos como si fuera una partida de ajedrez, mientras que Moregard intenta siempre que le devuelvan la pelota a su mano dominante para atacar. Cuando hace un buen ataque es muy difícil para el oponente devolver la pelota, los ángulos de los ataques y la velocidad son impresionantes.

Gratulation an Jorgic zu seinem ersten (?) großen Titel. Ich hoffe auch als Deutscher, dass da noch was folgt....!

It’s really a great win. Jorgic didn’t fold under pressure and intimidation from Moregard. Jorgic needed to work hard, suffer a bit and play nearly error free, not give away easy points. Moregard cannot make every shot. And Moregard didn’t contest one game, that’s a real mistake, never let the opponent get his hopes up.

Great match! I think Darko would win more points if he served from his backhand full-time. I’m not sure if he uses the forehand service to keep his opponent guessing but he could accomplish that by mixing up his backhand serve. Great play by both players 🏆

Didn’t know Darko was a stand on the table and ask for applause type guy. He could fit in NBA. Thought he was more of a Timo type winner. Deserved it though! Good thing Truls didn’t do that. Great match.
He is young and bound to get excited to win the top European competition. I didn’t find it disrespectful. I find Truls’ pose after winning cringeworthy and his overall demeanour arrogant. Darko on the other hand has a very likeable personality.

A couple of missed serves from Truls and 1 luck net from Jorgic is all that separated them. cracking match.
Great match and well deserved win i must admin. He played very consistent, Truls seemed nervous perhaps? Seemed like he gave away a few easy points that could have made the difference.

Very good game, I was hoping Truls to win this. But I'm also okay if Jorgic won it, because he had a very good game. Problem with Truls is his dip in concentration, it will be different result if he managed to control his concentration, especially in 5th set when he loses 11:1. I hope he recover from this loss, it will be hard to swallow especially when he almost had a comeback in the last set.

Incredible match. Really could have gone any direction. Truls seems to have a difficult time keeping his passion in check, which made him miss many serves and signature backhand punches of his. Jorgic has an excellent backhand serve and overall was the more consistent player today.

6:11 Like it's the simplest in the world. Unbelievable what these guys were playing. Darko was hardly impressed by anything Truls was sending at him. Almost a crazy comeback by Truls in the two last sets. Darko's nerves of steel got him the win in the end...
I wonder if Truls even has a plan when he plays. It feels like he’s kinda like F- it I’ll just hit the ball. I don’t think you can beat top Chinese this way.

As a Truls Critic: I know Truls lost but I really feel like he won the hearts of the people in this tournament. Well composed, creative, great sportsmanship, high spirit, very entertaining and even when throwing the racket I feel like it was a show of how much he cared. The faces he's making at his opponents has also tremendously improved. Again, I know he lost but he has won our hearts and I change my title from "Truls Critic" to "Truls Raving Fan". Great game Truls.
