Darko's backhand is very natural, loopy and powerful.. He uses more wrists than his other peers.. 👍
I have been studying his backhand as it's my go-to stroke as well and realised that what makes it so special is his usage of body/legs. He generates so much momentum from his legs/body that he sometimes ends up jumping in the direction of the shot. I think that is what allows him to keep the stroke short and incredibly powerful. That and lots of wrist action of c.
It has something to do with his grip. That grip facilitates his backhand but also weakens his forehand and forehand-backhand switch.
What a fantastic match u did Darko! Not only your backhand was accurate (as expected), but also your fh was very very good. Definetely, one of the best tt i've seen in years.
I can't wait to see his monstrous backhand in a few days at WTT Star Contender Goa (especially against the Chinese).
I have been watching and playing for a long time but this is the best and most aggressive table tennis I've ever seen! They represent the sport so well.
I like DJ style very much: its manly, straight, vital and no annoying psycho tricks.
Now would be good time for Euro vs China challenge. Euros may not win but it would be closer than ever.
Ma long and Fan are probably still out of reach, but the other guys from China don’t seem to have the potential to reach malong’s level

Incredible Darko. His fh is not a weakness anymore, in the past he was struggling to kill balls on this side, even pretty easy ones but well... Now so much variation, power loops, spinny loops, small side, corners... That's a well deserved title, when he plays at this level he is undoubtedly the best European player around!
Darko won the tournament with his monstrous backhand and won hearts with that smooth hand switch shot 😀
He played mostly in the forehand of Dang Qiu, and won almost all points in such cases. I think this is how he won. Nice play!
Darko is the man in Europe. Give this man the respect he deserves.
First of all congratulations to Jorgic and compliments to Dang Qiu for playing a nearly perfect tournament. Man, I really thought this tournament would become a cakewalk for Moregard. Well, it was a good tournament nonetheless.

Dj got much more of a complete player now. Amazing bh (obviously), fh definitely improved, as he had amazing fh counters, then he played some very sneaky sidespin blocks, and not to forget his short- short game, which he usually came out on top!

Da kann Dang Qiu sich eigentlich nur in den Hintern beißen, dass er in den ersten drei Sätzen jeweils eine klare Führung verspielt hat.

@@Oleg_SundukovSki - Nein, so was kann man sich vielleicht leisten, wenn man klar (mehrere Klassen) überlegen ist, aber das war das Spiel der Nummer 9 gegen die Nummer 11.
@@andrepiotrowski5668 ну, не буквально с форой)) А просто не включаться сразу полностью, дать сопернику почувствовать себя спокойно, а потом резко форсировать игру. В то время как успокоившемуся сопернику крайне сложно мобилизоваться. Как-то так.
@@Oleg_SundukovSki - Das wäre bei Sätzen bis 21 eine Möglichkeit gewesen, da hatte man noch ausreichend Zeit. Aber bei den kurzen Sätzen bis 11 reichen ein, zwei Punkte aus, um das Spiel komplett kippen zu lassen. Hier oder da ein Kantenball oder Netzroller (bzw. einfach in den entscheidenden Momenten eben kein eigener Fehler, sondern ein Punkt), als Dang Qiu in den ersten Sätzen in Front lag, zu seinen Gunsten hätten völlig ausgereicht, dass Darko Jorgic überhaupt kein Land gesehen hätte.

yes, DJ is truly a allaround kind of player. He had amzing bh (obviously), fhs but also some very sneaky blocks this match. His short- short game is also quite nice, meaning most of the time he plays short- short, he has the better feeling of when to take initiative and go for attacks. Most of the short- short rallies lead to either DQs mistake (in the net) or a to long short push, which DJ then directly attacked. Overall very nice match from both, but Dj was the clear and deserved winner!

Оба справа играют, не разворачивая корпус, поэтому успевают накрывать у стола перевод направо. А выглядит корявенько. Но эффективно. У перовика хватка позволяет, не разворачивая корпус, играть справа 🤔 Почему-то это никто почти не понимает, что ли. Переводят ему под право, когда он у стола, думая, что он не успеет, а он только этого и ждёт. Так он ЧЕ и выиграл за счёт игры у стола. Сейчас стали ему под право только косо давать, но всё равно до финала дошёл)

Darko is so amazing! He’s everything I wanted to see in Waldner’s video after all the hype and always ended up disappointed. Is he always this good? I think I saw him against the Chinese and he was just okay.
After watching this match, it's safe to say backhand is the game changer in table tennis. Even the Chinese won't find it easy with this style. Congratulations to both players for keeping us on our feet throughout the match.
I absolutely like DJs backhand game. But I have some doubts he will have any chance against ML, FZD or even the "weaker" Chinese like LGY or LJK as all of them will simply overpower him.
@@enibub they don't overpower with raw power. No one in the world can overpower Calderano, for example. But Ma Long prevents Calderano from using his superhuman phyical abilities. ML, WCQ and FZD suggest a game with a much higher QUALITY OF SPIN. Their loops are spinnier, lower trajectories, better change of angles. Also, they can counter much more difficult balls (low, widely placed, heavy spinny) while retaining power and spin. They are also better at staying in the rally and continuing pressure when out of position, reaching for the ball, hitting-on-the-run, etc. They are more MANEUVERABLE. It's not just power that decides.

Qiu is a solid, decent player from both sides. Both players have been playing well to get here. But Jorgic is so powerful this match was only going to have one outcome. Looks like the days of speed glue + booster again.
One outcome? First set Qiu leads 5-0, second 9-6 and third 10-6 and somehow loses all of them
@@ttime9947 , yes, because Jorgic is so powerful, Qiu is never safe, Jorgic can accumulate a string of points any time.
