Truls is one of the few player that actually has fun playing a match
When he starts feeling no fun, he starts throwing racket to infect his opponent with his anger so that fun comes back😂

No Truls has played better Liang couldn't get a read on him.
Liang is a super player . But he is a bit slow in getting a read on his opponent. He needs a better coach.
@@nnamdichrisume9384 I disagree koki, Timo, Hugo he's always adjusted well he struggles with chop blocks.
Never a dull moment with Truls: outrageous shot making, unpredictable returns and so much talent. Definitely one of the best players to watch and maybe a world champion in the making.
And quality checking for Stiga rackets.
I am glad after Xu Xin and Koki Niwa, we can rely on Truls to deliver entertaining matches 👏😄

Phantastisches Spiel vom Schweden, sehr kreativ und überraschend. er spielt im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes das Match, probiert ständig und hat sichtbar Spaß an der Begegnung.

It's amazing how he adjusts his game and pace dependind of what sort of ball he has to deal with.
His ball placements and massive blocks are out of this world too! 🤩 So fun and entertaining to watch play indeed.
I am so please for Moregard. He is very good player and very creative, and this is what confused Chinese players (like the others). Deserve to play in the final. Europe hope

Excellent game,one of the best I have watched recently. Moregard put a lot of trouble to Liang Jingkun with his chops and amazing variety of hits. He even switched hand holding the racket (unsuccessfully though) like Timo Boll sometimes does.
Brilliant play from Truls, he broke the rhythm of Liang with his unconventional shots.
Truls use non normal shot it make ball spin so strange

Love the creativities from Truls to frustrate Liang who are more used to the speed game. Off-speed stuff completely throws him off and induced way too many unforced errors! Great thinking match by Truls!

2 раунд морегарда был проигран чисто из за его спешки,а так он очень креативен был, Liang только заточен бить и бить,а в конце Moregard полностью контролировал игру и заставлял Liang играть по его правилам

Definitely improved since the last world championship. His rallying seems more secure, and he's still got that astonishing single shotmaking ability. I think the comparison with Waldner is superficial; Moregard's a one off, for sure. And that was brilliant.

Hey, on WTT Champions summer series could you please set up an even worse angle?
They are trying believe me. Currently there is an ITTF meeting somewhere in the world where they are considering displaying the sport from an angle unknown to engineers.
My suggestion would be placing the camera underneath the table! Hearing the ball and the cho-ing of the players is enough.
In fact there is a worse angle than this one here. So we must be happy that the camera wasn't so high in this match lol
The sponsors logo must be seen, that's the rule in my opinion
They are able to do better, since in the first days of the competition they did it, when there were no comments

When did LJK just drop any attempt to apologise on lucky balls? On the one hand I realise it is a small thing, but on the other hand it makes him look bad specifically because it would be such a small thing to vaguely lift his hand, or similar. It's almost like he's going out of his way not to be polite and I don't see the point.
Good performance in spite of some avoidable mistakes.

Ljk is a monotone and orthodox kind of attacking player, not much creativity in disrupting the opponents except plain attacking style. In long rally, I have seen a couple of times Truls had overpowered Ljk , and also a couple of times, Ljk lost points of returning or attacking chop block, sidespin etc
Good highlights, just an absolutely horrible angle that needs to be fixed if wtt don't want to lose viewers. Makes the game much less enjoyable to watch

This camera angle..an offense to table tennis
Why? With this wiev is possible to appreciate a lot the footwork, the power, the rithm of rallies, the distance from the table.. As a coach is wonderful to have the opportunity to wiev the match in this manner. And it is also very spectacular.
@@zenzero27771 I preferred the camera set up as in matches f.ex. Ma Lin- Wang Liqin. Then the competitors were visible all the time during the rallies far from the table. Now you can't see it.

It's funny how the Chinese table tenis Gods struggle with the akward shots and chops which is what we low elo players are familliar with the most :D
Yeah because they aren't used to the unusual stuff, thats why so many chinese struggled with hou yingchao that one tournament. Someone like ma long is older so has more experience with that type of stuff, thats why he beat hou easily. You see all the time chopblocks from ma long mess up fan zhendong, WCQ and LJK because they are younger by 8-10 years. Thats why ma long will never lose to truls, maybe in a few years. FZD has too large a skill gap, but LJK and WCQ will be close matches, he can win due to his unusual style. I predicted him to beat LJK and also WCQ but im not sure so much about WCQ

A fat guy with poor short game is no"God".His serve-receive game is fairly average.He has lost to Aruna before.
@@CrAzzyWak Truls isn’t doing anything super fancy apart from some chop blocks, which at the level I play at is pretty similar, the general shots at our level is no where near theirs. But the strawberry receive he does is not that hard… the chopblock is harder, but at my level players can do it, just not as consistently. The flat flicks like the bh one ma long does is unusual and quite hard to do, needs very good feeling, something players at my level cannot do, need national level players to play that consistently
@@g3capslol385 Chop blocks are done by adding side spin but also soaking up the opponent's topspin and basically using it against them. So when you friend does a chop block he is doing it against YOUR top spin, but when Daddy Truls does it he is controlling the power of the almighty Chinese world class loop of the *big chungus* Liang Jinkun!🥵 A shot that most players don't have a chance at even blocking normally, imagine how much more quality would have to be on Moregard's 'normal' chop block

Dear ITTF, the coverage of these Star Contender Series has been horrible. This side angle view makes it impossible to appreciate the quality of play and makes professional table tennis level look mediocre. Why this "new" angle was chosen after years of using the classical (and best) rear view is beyond me. It's also a shame that there are no replays (e.g. around the net shot from Truls). Please find someone competent to record from a normal angle and edit properly.

Gutes Spiel! Ich mag die Spielweise von Liang Jingkun, aber: es ist ekelhaft, dass er wieder damit beginnt, sich bei Netz-und Kantenbällen nicht zu entschuldigen. Unfair - das weiß man, wenn man diesen Sport praktiziert.
Im asiatischen Raum ist das nicht ungewöhnlich. Man entschuldigt sich da eigentlich nur wenn das Netz unmittelbar zum Punkt verholfen hat und nicht wenn es einem "nur" einen Vorteil verschafft hat. Bei mir im Training ist seit einem Jahr ein ehemaliger Profi aus Nigeria und er freut sich auch über Ballwechsel wo er einen Netzball drin hatte. Am Anfang war das gewöhnungsbedürftig aber mittlerweile denk ich dass die Leute aus dem Tischtennis weniger verklemmt sein sollten. Bei den Asiaten sieht man dass das nicht unfair gemeint ist und das Respekt dem Gegner gegenüber sehr wichtig ist. Als Wang Chuqin seinen Schläger mal im Spiel geschmissen hat wurde es als respektlos dem Gegner gegenüber gewertet und er wurde vom chinesischen Verband für 3 Monate von allen Turnieren ausgeschlossen.

Liang is the worst Chinese player ever. He has brought a lots of shame to Chinese team. He possessed zero confidence, he usually play like someone under tension. He should be removed from Chinese team. He's the most overrated Chinese player ever.

If you watched the match live the commentary was actually pretty decent. It doesnt have the bobrow flair, no one does it quite like him, but it was intuitive and didnt take away from the enjoyment of the game, only added to it
