    Tomb Scorpions not rereleased part of the initial wave, but are a compulsory unit in one of the lists? My money (and hope) is on them getting a new model then! Maybe they will take inspiration from the Total War one!

    I hate that they made settra a “bad guy” because it what’s to conquer but forgetting that he is a good king and a just ruler and he lets the living live under his rule and they live every good lives in fact he made be the best king in all of oldworld

      Settra is and was a tyrant. But he was very good at what he did, and make Nehekhara the best it has even been.
      And let's be honest, during his time everyone was a tyrant, and probably he wasn't the worst one around.

      Settra was always a brutal tyrant. In life he performed human sacrifice on his own children. He was bitter and spiteful to his last breath for being unable to conquer the world in his lifetime. He created the Mortuary Cult and set them on a path that eventually produced Nagash. I'm a TK player, and I love Settra, but as a fascinating villain. His only redeeming quality is his defiance against Chaos.

    I think it’s interesting that the armies of infamy can’t take allies. Makes sense in context but it’s actually a neat “hidden” drawback to scaling these up to “full army” size.

  • @FullmetalTimo

    Just a quick question, is there still the restless dead rule for lore of nehekara, where units did revive when they received an augment spell? Or is revival now based only on the priest ability?

      Don’t mistake different for being worse or “sucking”.
      I would prefer the heal on a stick in the command then it being spell success dependent.

    • @FullmetalTimo
      @FullmetalTimo Před 5 měsíci

      @@jamespeterson9620 the problem i see is, you have to take tons of priests to effectively heal your army. With spells, you could potentially heal up to 4 units, now its just one per priest. Also, its heavily level depend, a lvl 4 mage can heal minimum 5 wounds, as a lvl 1 can heal 2 minimum, to a max of 4 depending on the roll.
      Well, maybe the healing banner still excists.

      Is that a command ability for every liche priest in an army or just the heirophant? I'm curious if running multiple lower level wizards is a viable option, when everyone else is thinking go hard on a single level 4.

      With new rules I am unsure, but old system had it where war machines typically didn't have bases. You would instead measure from the muzzle/crossbar, or just closest part of the model depending on edition and type of machine. It is probably the same here.

    Why are Tomb Kings considered evil? They were the first high civilisation of humanity and now that they've awoken again they find that their land is beset by outsiders. So they take back their stuff and great Kings like Settra are looking to conquer more territory. But that's the same mindset as 99% of the other factions, including the "good guys". Is it because they are undead? A fate in which they had no say and actively hate?

  • @geeksworkshop

      @resnov1 Před 6 měsíci +2

      I have a great way to rebase your skeletons. I'm actually doing it while i m typing.
      Basically you take a citadel cutter (which you use to cut the pieces out of the plastic sprews) and cut the sides of the 20x20 base. You are thus not touching the actual upper part of the base and the skeleton is still attached. You then glue this now flat base on top of 25x25 base. Final step is 2 layers of ' technical armageddon dunes' to finish it up and it looks awesome.
      If you do it this way, you will not have to change anything about your old models.

    6th edition Necrons (technically 5th I guess) were basically Tomb Kings in space.. Ossiarch Bonereapers in contrast is Necrons in High Fantasy. It's like using google translate several times on the same text back and forth.
    Overall, the Tomb Kings look good, hate that they use the Necromancy lore (though, I guess it's closer to death magic.. but still..), sad they removed Destroyer of Eternities, definitely my favorite TK item, though conqueror's blade seems like it has a similar (if less cool) role. Still, not paying three times the price for 20 year old models.. I might pay out for a few ushabti and Settra as I always wanted those.. But not buying the skeletons that were old when TK was released.

    Sphinxes dropped from T8 to T6? With only 5 wounds and a 5+ save / 6+ regen to keep them alive they are looking fragile now. Any unit with great weapons can put them down.

      @jamespeterson9620 Před 5 měsíci +1

    Tomb king vs priest on the dragon?

    • @trentathawat6714
      @trentathawat6714 Před 5 měsíci

      Tomb King gives you a tanky, hard hitting beat stick monster, but can't join a unit and convey his precious command bonus.
      Priest gives your Hieorophant a good save he otherwise can never get (4+ full plate), -1 to be shot, and mobility of a flying unit (fly 9) so he can position where necessary to cast buffing spells, hexes on enemies, and arise fallen troops.
      I think the priest is probably the more synergistic choice, but it depends on your army build.
