This is a hugely underrated series.
Man nothing will replace the void of After Hours with Michael, Dan, Soren, and Katie f
What I wouldn't give to sit around and talk about great movies with this group! Great listen keep it up!
On Parasite, I did laugh out loud in the theater during that scene with the rock (at the end). Bong crafts his social commentaries in a humorous way that really sucks you in. So I'd classify it as a dark comedy.
I'm so happy to see love for Josie and the Pussycats. It's an incredible movie and a great relic of its time. Immediately listening to the soundtrack.
I’m so glad Danielle Radford is a permanent host with Patrick. She’s so funny, knowledgeable and she has great taste
I have been wanting to watch Parasite for WAY too long now!
I'm but a pleb, when I was like 13 one of my favorite movies was Zoolander as it's the second movies I had seen in theaters.
I don't like the second because it's a bad movie that tried to pretend it wasn't, so years later, and I watch the first again, and it's still one of my favorites, and part 2 had to have been a tax write-off, because it had the kind of vibes I got from the Underground Comedy Movie.
My first movie I saw in theaters was Pokeom 2000 the movie, I took my little brother to see it, and decades later I can still remember a large swath of the theater where unattended children, who broke out in a crying fit when Ash was turned to stone.
The Gasoline fight, was a classic in the making, and The Pokemon movie was lacking that key moment in cinematic history, but it did make a theater full of kids cry, and I will always remember that.
I guess one could make a case for buddy movies always being some kind of comedy
I would have went straight for Airplane! or Halfbaked.
I loved Parasite. But, in an episode specifically about choosing a Comedy title, given the premise of your show, it's a weak argument that actively goes against concept. Almost all movies use comedic moments etc to have various effects, but. This just seems like trying real real hard to see if anyone will comment?
I legit listened to the soundtrack of Josie and the pussycats within the last month or so. Glad to see it here, but trying to use the triple feature (and then disrespect Honey so hard) like... what's going on here?
Did I misunderstand the assignment?
Action comedies like Running Scared are an under-utilized genre. I haven't seen a good one since Spy with Melissa McCarthy
lmao no
i just came here to say no
bye
No.
Broadcast news and Running Scared are old school comedies, best watched with some spliff. The 3 in 1 chick flick are just nooo. Drunk feminists maybe would like them though.
But never knew or heard Parasite, will have to watch it.
To me the idea that "Parasite" is a comedy isn't a stretch for me because I've actually thought for a while that "Full Metal Jacket" is absolutely a comedy because it's too perfectly timed not to be. Not even just R. Lee Ermy but even after you get into Vietnam. It's just the dialog itself but the "just another Tuesday" vibe that becomes very prevalent as you go along. I also believe Stanley Kubrick would absolutely do something like this too. It actually makes me wonder about "A Clockwork Orange" too.
A clockwork orange has humor to it but the things they do are too horrific for me to even watch it lol
I would pick the original "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" myself.@@katc2040
Why is Milly at this table?
Parasite is my favourite movie ever and I 100% agree it’s a comedy. Obviously it’s not just a comedy but it’s impossible to deny there’s not a lot of comedy throughout.
Y’all need better thumbnails because it’s hard to tell which videos on your channel are staff picks videos (my fave) and which are just regular Cracked videos about miscellaneous topics.
This has nothing to do with this video but you guys should start back up the people watching series..... please its helpful to my mind
Josie and the pussycats is an amazing movie… also the only comedy selected. “Parasite is a comedy” is such a pretentious take. All movies have elements of comedy and drama but comedy as a genre is less nebulous than you are making it out to be. And if you want a comedy with a car chase you should suggest blues brothers. Like it can’t be that hard to find a comedy
This your first time watching this series, these d-bags are 100% pretentious, that's their whole thing. It's shocking that they continue to get more and more pretentious and annoying guests.
I’m sorry, this has to be one of the worst selections for comedy I’ve ever seen.
You can consider Parasite a comedy. Bong has an excellent sense of humor.
lmao bong
What did I just click on lol
It’s part of the staff picks series posted by Patrick H Willems where 4 people argue what best film in a certain genre is. Honestly it’s a really good series I enjoy the conversations they have.
Nah man, don't listen to that other guy. This is a shit series and really should just stop.
@@DaWeaves98 I watched several minutes of this and had to cut it off.
I love Josie, Dujour means fun! Great cast, awesome satire and great soundtrack!
Well women usually aren't that funny. If you're not the best looking and you're not the strongest that's all us men have to hold
Parasite is comedy
