For shera it wasn't spoiled for me and i truly did not believe they would make catradora canon (because they were the main hero and main villain and making it canon would mean that the entire show was based around a lesbian relationship) and after i saw the last episode i cried for like three days and i still cry again when i watch that scene

My favorites are a bit different from yours. First, the only thing that you mentioned was about Ruby, Sapphire and Garnett; I have heard about it being "ground-breaking", probably on an NPR broadcast. My cartoon favorites were Rocky and Bullwinkle, Dudley Doright and Looney Tunes. I don't have TV so I have little opportunity to check them out. No matter, just listening to you talk about the shows gives me some idea of why they important to you. I'll post some interesting cartoon urls below in a separate comment. Do you watch anime? You should see Strawberry Panic, Bloom into You, Revolutionary Girl Utena (with english subtitles, not the dubbed version). There are some good lesbian anime, but there are many good mangas out there to read

I love LGBT representations in shows and cartoons. But what I don't like is when a character is heavily based on that fact, I think a character should be their own person and have a personality, the shows shouldn't only focus on their sexual orientation because when that happens all you have left to say of that character is "yeah she's gay" or something like that

It's so beautiful 😭😭😭 even having it spoiled, I was so in awe at that scene. It was so much better than I ever could have hoped for

I used to watch anime all the time as a kid, but not so much in recent years. I've heard of Utena tho and have been tempted to check it out
