Boone ... I'm glad you're liking LA, I was out there a few times "back in the day", but this Chicago/New York boy just couldn't handle the car culture there.
When I was in NU's "Radio/TV/Film" program, everybody was hot to head to LA but I just couldn't see me doing that (no doubt part of my ending up in P.R. instead of media).
I was wondering, when you were describing your various friend's activities, how you self-identity in that environment ... What's "on your card"? Voice talent? Actor? CZcams content creator?

The "Let's do lunch" ritual here is something I've struggled with over the years, as well. It is even more expensive now, and it often does feel like a wasteful and extravagant "habit" of using one's resources. I used to enjoy regular lunches out, and I didn't worry about it, but my conscience just takes issue with doing more than an occasional restaurant meal. You and I (and many readers, I assume,) are aware of our spending habits and where the resources are going, and I think this is very adult of us. Especially in your case. lol. Warning: Restaurant meals will guzzle thousands of dollars over a year. It used to be a big ouch when I reviewed the yearly summary on the credit card. When I was working, I used to have one restaurant meal pretty much every day. I could not possibly justify the prices to do that now. Nor do I want to. I think your parents raised you right, and you're just fabulous. xoxo
