Love these videos. When he said "I work hard for my money" that really did hit home for a moment. Like I empathize with him, losing close to $200 can be rough and it can really disappointing to lose it especially if you worked a bit harder than normal to raise the money to do something you wanted to. After I gave him my empathy but he refused to do the same for another that's when he lost it. I just can't give empathy to someone who can't do the same for someone else.
Regardless, I hope one day he reflects on that conversation and cringes at how he was acting. We're all in our different stages of life and hopefully this person grows to realize that attitude doesn't help anyone. Especially himself.
and it does seem like they probably are somewhat strapped for cash, (even if they aren't 200 dollars isnt nothing). i hope this ends here, the person actually tries to be atleast a tad bit more understanding and grateful; and they arent ousted from the scene, it would be pretty unfortunate considering they do seem to care enough to spend 200 dollars and fly out
I hate to say it but I've interacted with many people like him before and if he didn't get it when Ludwig was explaining it to him he probably never will. There is a chance he was just upset and comes to realize later but I doubt he will, some people find it very hard to think about others and what they're going through or what they've given to them.
My guess is probably a teenager that lives off his parents doesn’t realize shit happens sometimes

As the head TO for my smash scene, a majority of the people I interact with are understanding and super cool. I've housed people so they can go to tournaments over the weekend as well. Sometimes we do see those kinds of people who just don't care and think they're the main character or something, and while it's really annoying to deal with the rest of the scene being so genuinely nice makes up for it to an extent. I also do this for free and don't even make money because it's for my colleges scene, and because of that there's a lot of additional things to work around. We get around 150+ people every tournament week.
My favorite video so far on mogul mail, great story, great vibe, message is on point, and some just desserts! Bravo Lud!
Man the amount of respect i have for ludwig just keeps increasing after every act he does. Many people lack empathy these days and to see someone with it and who promotes others to be understanding and empathetic is quite rare thus nice to see.

This is why I have came to respect ludwig over the years. For the longest time he was just slimes friend or "the reads editor" and then the reads ended and at the same time ludwig got popular in my mind the reads ended because ludwig left (I know thats not the case but still) this caused me to not like him but the more time has passed and the more I have seen the more I realize I like ludwig and think he is the best possible representative we could have gotten for the melee community.

i am from Oman , it's a middle eastern country and tbh i am probably the best melee player locally (we have a gaming center that hosts melee tournaments) as i won all 34 tournaments and i am feeling that i actually have a chance in competing here if i am allowed to ❤️

I don't even watch many tournaments, but getting interested in the Smash scene introduced me to so many wonderful people like Coney, Alpharad, Little Z, Marss, and lots of wonderful Smash community members whose content is some of my favorite to watch of anyone on YT.
