Ban period being extended is 100% to do with all the Twitter drama after, and continuing the harassment after being banned. Indefinite ban makes sense considering Twitch seems to go pretty hard on hate raids.
Yeah heard some people saying no else got perma for this and he is a special case but all the hate raids over the past few months have been permas as far as I have heard.

When you have a platform consisting of influencers and followers, you do have to be careful what you let influencers get away with. Having the ability to tell thousands of people what do do is an insane amount of power and when you use that to harass someone en masse, that is no joke.

If Jidion viewers attack Poki (not the L+Ratio, but the insults and name-calling and various unfounded allegations) and he low-key encourages it by saying it’s her fault, I can’t say the perma-ban is undeserved. He may be a nice guy otherwise, but that doesn’t redeem him in this situation.
Plus I don’t agree with you that Poki was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. It’s only a handful of female streamers who get constantly trashed on, and Poki probably gets most of it. It’s not an accident. It’s a sexist pattern. Maybe not everyone attacking her was sexist but the entire ordeal was, and everyone who participated deserves some of the blame. Jidion not only let it happen, he actively encouraged it and said sexist things himself. This entire narrative that Poki hides relationships to appear single so that all her viewers will think they have a chance with her and being extremely vulgar with his choice of words was sexist as fuck. I think people like that deserve to be banned permanently especially if it means the immature sexist QAnon-type viewer base doesn’t migrate to Twitch.

He literally made the narrative and you then see people like Susu JPG Myth and H3H3 saying Jidion is misogynistic and recently Valkyrie said the same thing about the situation.
Plus with that note Pokimane and Ludwig literally and slyly made a suggestion to Perma Ban Jidion including Everyone else that I mentioned.
Plus he openly admits that XQC did this and he didn't get banned which shows favoritism at best but clearly shows Pokimane and others using Twitch's inconsistencies.
I think twitch also caught onto the fact that his comeback stream most likely would have increased his viewership and didn’t want this to be a common way to grow your stream, so perma makes sense so this doesn’t happen more often.
While twitch is definitely inconsistent, i do believe this ban is well deserved. If he can stream again, it just encourages others to do the same - harass a big streamer, get a slap on the wrist, get publicity.
It'd be more concerning if these type of harassment happened to small streamers as well. While it's still bad to be in Poki situation, she's at least fortunate enough to have other people back her up and gives her the support that she needs

I think the permaban is deserved. After initially getting banned, Jidion changed his profile pic to poki's picture further fueling hate against her and her fans. He continued to harass her. why? like why?
Remember poki said jidion's fans went as far as sending death threats in whispers to poki's subs after she tried to go subs only and emotes only to avoid having to go off stream. And yes it's sexist to say that poki only has fans because they want to have sex with her or that people are only defending her or on her side because they want to have sex with her.

I did say on your previous video I found it strange they would let someone acting like that back on their platform. Twitch should take every step possible to make their platform a safe space for everyone. He shows no remorse, and you can just tell by the way he's acting that he will do some shit again given the chance, so the best way is for twitch to not give him that chance at all. A perm is well deserved and should be the only outcome for anyone else acting like this.

I actually really admire Ludwig's willingness to see both sides in this situation. All videos I see covering this drama are either "Pokimane bad" or "Jidion hates women"
Jidion obviously acted super immature by harrasing Poki. Thousands of people who already hate Poki (and probably had no idea who Jidion was before this) saw this opportunity to join an online dog pile. Even though Jidion probably doesn't hate female streamers, his actions clearly emboldened those that do.
Also Ludwig's take at the end where he almost feels sorry for Jidion is pretty respectable. I can't see many other streamers saying something like that publicly or even bothering to consider Jidion's perspective. I guess that journalist degree paid off lmao

Back when Lud had the little scuffle with Adin Ross, the same shit happened. I personally had the L nerd Adin Ross viewers (AKA the really bad ones) DM me saying some pretty messed up stuff.
I don't know why these wars happen across channels, it's really cringe. Lud being on YT has helped that a bit so I'm happy.
Its the prank/cringe youtubers that get the 14 year olds that follow their every word. Hell 7 years ago i watched leafy (before his toxic ass got out of hand) and he was making commentary over fake stories he done. But like when i turned 16-17 I stopped watching him just because it was like... bruh grow the fuck up.

Not like most people who want to prove they can be a good investment for twitch. No he wants to harrass his coworkers. Here's my thing: JiDion led a mob of his fans with a clear unhealthy parasocial relationship with him to go attack Poki on a hate raid. He suffered the consequences. Boom. End of story. Is Twitch inconsistent with it's punishments? Sure. But JiDion did a shitty thing and got punished for it. I really don't think saying L + Ratio is hateful nor can be deemed as harassment. While I do agree that his comments afterwards were not in good taste and should result in a ban, she is turning this into a bigger issue than this needs to be. Jidion did something dumb and, got a ban for 14 days as a first time offender, that is really where it should’ve ended.

And they wouldn't have done it if she was a man, plain and simple, or else he'd go after Pewdiepie or Ninja for using the n word. The ban got extended because he continued to harass her and his fans are rabid toddlers going wild at her too. End of story, he doesn't deserve a platform.

i think that the 14 day ban is warranted for the hate raid, and a perma ban is worth it for the harassment that occurred on twitter and from his fanbase validates that ban.

as someone who has been watching jidion for a while now and has always enjoyed his content, he was never like this and he was always positive and uplifting on youtube and in his earlier streams. i don't know what got into him or why he did this but it's sad that this is how a lot of people are getting introduced to him because i think he is actually really funny and a better person than this. i don't know why people are defending him either but i hope he can own up, apologize and move on

I don't think being as neutral and unbiased is necessarily good in this case considering JiDion's actions were quite literally sexist; however I can kind of see how this approach may _help_ reach JiDion's audience; end of the day. A permaban seems reasonable to me; Twitch doesn't want to become the next "4chan" on toxicity and it's not very far off from becoming so if it doesn't change ships, and this is the prime example. Pokimaine is literally the #1 female streamer on the platform and if _she's_ not even safe; what hope do women have on the platform?

JiDion didn't do anything sexist, he even said it from the start he didn't do it because she's a woman. This has nothing to do with gender and what not. And I would understand if JiDion raided pokimane saying actual hate but it wasn't malicious in anyway. If anything it seems to me like JiDion was just a new streamer on the platform who did a joking raid to pokimane. But saying she gets dicked down after the stuff happened was a bit much and a little punishment should be enforced but definitely not a perm.
(also would like to note pokimane did worst things in the past like illegal copyright striking, harassing people live on stream and making fun of their appearance and stuff, illegally broadcasting copyright material, etc. so thats why people are insulting her hard because she's a known weirdo already and thats just the internet for you. I feel like one of the biggest problems with social celebrities on twitch or TikTok, whatever, is that some of them really underestimate the power their following has. The whole, “they hate this, so I do too”.
So when Jidion started this hate on Pokimane… so did they. They followed him and did the same. Twitter is proof of that (sure twitter is already pretty bad, but it’s really bad to see that many people blaming Poki for something Jidion did)
