- This is a very surface level guide honestly as I could easily make a 2 hour video talking about all the options and permutations of knockdown pressure (okizeme) in this game. That said for those not in the know this would be a good pointer to start off with!

One note about Beerus' orbs in the corner: CLOUD805 recently stated in an interview with BornFree that it's possible to escape the orb corner pressure simply by up-teching, super dashing and proceeding to call an assist as cover. While this doesn't appear to be foolproof, it is an option that seems to negate a bit of his corner pressure game.

Hey @rooflemonger! I have a question: sometimes my opponent up techs and I j.H, but they get hit instead of blocking. So I hit them but it doesn’t lead to a combo or anything, they just get hit then vanish to escape the pressure. Is this a legit option on defense?
its an option yes. But if you know they are going to let themselves get hit you can just dragon rush them instead.
For the beerus 6 orbs set up they can wake up superdash if they don’t have an invincible move and wake up lvl 3 will punish it.
Beerus can block any wakeup homing dash or wakeup level 3, its def not a punish. That was just an example for the video.

it would've been massively more helpful if he would feature chars that ppl actually played. Like most ppl who take time to watch videos about getting better arent going to undo all that knowledge gained by playing low tier chars....
Cris Cruz the more popular characters already have a ton of resources out there for whatever you need (ie Cell, 16, Black). People need to realize that just because a character may be low tier doesn't mean they aren't viable picks (at least in this game). That's why I'm glad he highlighted the okis of the not so popular characters.
Also, I don't know about you, but its definitely possible to learn other characters while having a dedicated team. I've been playing beerus/hit/black as my go to team since day 1 basically. Now that I'm at a comfortable point with them, I started practicing 18/trunks/gotenks (literally 2 days ago).
Ooh I'm relatively early.
Anyways, i usually get down-heavied cuz I'm not used to using assists to cover me during my attempt for corner pressure lol. Also my instant-airdashing is gaah-bij.

Do it right you won't have time to hit down+heavy, itill hit on the frame that you aren't invincible to air attacks.

Okizeme. Okizeme (起き攻め) is a term used in fighting games which refers to pressuring the opponent while they are getting up after being knocked down. Depending on the game, there are various possible options a player can make after being knocked down. not a fancy word its japanese
I am well aware what it means. This video is meant to teach new players whats up with pressure not language lessons though.
What if someone has a invincible frame what do you do block?
If a move is invincible, its 100% unsafe short of sparking blast canceling it on block.
does wake up 2h not work on instant dash over head on wake up?
Nope, it takes a frame or two to activate and its a frame they won't have to work with. Not enough time to breath.
Man this is hard
In DBFZ what's stopping you from just clicking 2H when opponents jump in on you in the corner after hard and sliding knockdown? Just enemy assists? I'm unsure of the timing of these things.
The anti-air invincibility on the 2H does not go live instantly is why! It takes 4 frames of animation before that kicks in, so if they jump at you on your knockdown and the timing is correct, it will stuff your 2h clean.

Absolutely, but its a time and a place thing. You have to know its gonna work and its gonna have to be against an aerial attack. Will also fail against airtight setups.

Check out the Gunframe app for phones, that has a lot of frame data for the game. Search for the Dustloop wiki as well for the game, that has a bunch of info for general mechanic like vanish frame data.
Stuff like this eventually gets found out by the FGC and in the past few games things like this get found out very quickly by hard working people on the community. As long as you're following the right people on Twitter (pros and good content creators) while you're learning the game this stuff will just appear in your TL cause it gets retweeted. Discord servers are also a great resource although you have to make sure you're in a good one. After you get good sources it's just committing the info from them to memory. Like Vanish is frame 6, Reflect is frame 1, all lvl3 have startup invul, CTF has ki blast invul. As long as you are seeking out info for the inner workings of the game, you will find be able to either find this stuff out yourself or come across someone who has.

Why do some cocky bastards have to toy with you, I have fought so many purple and red squares who after I beat one character or am losing against just stay in the corner waiting for me to do something to punish ( they just jump constantly and blast projectiles) and during all that they teabag it's annoying...what do I do to these they just lie in wait and attack...
It also discourages me from fighting at higher levels if I have to just see douchebag teabag me because they are slightly better them me

im no expert yet but any playstyle can be countered. try using long range moves to provoke them into closing the distance
