Cross ups are literally the only thing I don’t implement into my gameplay, I’ll end up doing like 1 or 2 in an entire day because of all of the things you can do in this game😂 this video serves as a reminder because they are a really good way of getting some damage in providing you do it every now and again and not 110% of the time, nice informative video as always, I like both the long sets and these quick tips it’s a nice short video and it still explains the concept well! :)

I find it difficult pressuring because all i ever fight is characters like jiren and hit and people who have parries.

Good video! it might be worth it to explicitly mention that regularly jumping doesn't work for cross ups since your character won't turn around until they hit the ground. it has to be a super jump or An air dash.
you may have covered it in a previous video, but there's also a neat trick on gamepad to perform an instant air dash. after fwd jump, super dash and then immediately hit forward to cancel into a dash. I've found this can ease the execution of trying to rapidly tap fwd to get the dash off.

I feel like you forgot to include that cross ups can be heavily punished with down heavy. I see a lot of people trying to do that in the corner and most of the time, 2H is my savior lol.
I felt like that was a given! I said at the end to not use it too often and I guess I shoul've said that when you do that you are gonna eat a whole 2h!
DotoDoya yeah since it's a beginner guide I was thinking not a lot people might know that 2H is invulnerable to air attacks. But hey, great video and I appreciate you doing this!

Jiggonomics definitely does take practice. Hopefully they patch the hitboxes so it work properly because it’s a bit broken.
You can mannually put in a cross up by tap the direction you want your attacking to come out. So if you IAD to the right you can input the attack button to and tap left it will cause the cross up.

1:30 well not really, some characters can do it without need to turn. Like Android 21, with her 596H, u don't have to wait for her to turn. (It might be a little "Character specific" though)
I've been playing the game for about 1 year and a half I'm on rosè rank and u didn't know how to cross up so I came back to good old less energetic doto lmao
Cross ups are actually useful
Not necessary
But it is worth noting that due to to conditioning, you can make them expect cross up along side your block strings
Meaning they have about 4 things to expect when getting block pressure
Leaving you plenty of bait options
The ultimate cross up challenge: Try to cross up kid buu with gotenks xD
Wish u would of went in more detail ( u sad usually it’s better to press medium for your cross up but what’s t best follow up at light or another medium?
How do people do cross-ups solo? For example, how cell players use either 5LL or 2L5L (not sure what they do) into iad jM without an assist.

I’m hoping they add more characters who have a grounded Cross up tool like Ibuki’s Special Dash in USF4 or X-23 in UMVC3

NixUniverse if I’m not mistaken. It’s only yamcha. I can’t think of krillin doing any grounded crossups
chekerz123456789 I just checked & he kinda does. His Medium Afterimage technique will hop right over the other character. But the character has to be short like Kid Buu or Gotenks but it won’t Hop over Cell or another tall asf characters
Edit : also it has to be mid screen because if the opponent is right against the wall Krillin will kick them instead of just flipping over them

is instant air dashing easier with PS4 controller? I am finding it very difficult on my stick.
Just takes practice! just make sure you are hitting Diagonal-up - and then forward once . You dont have to do it twice
i think something to cover is getting comfortable with not button mashing (knowing when you're supposed to block after your attacks) since it's so fast paced and using assists effectively for block strings and using assists to move out of pressure
Whenever I do an instant air dash, sometimes my character is too far from my opponent, so I miss the attack....what do I do? Should I attack earlier? Should I create more space between my opponent and I before doing an instant air dash? Do I just need to work on my instant air dashes (and how)?
Both of those are things you can do! Either make sure you are doing it earlier or that you've spaced it properly!
I'm new to fighting games, and even though FighterZ is supposdely one of the easier fighting games, there is so many specific things/timings we gotta master. Thanks for the help :D

Don't think about trying to as fast possible as long as you do the crossup fairly smooth you'll confuse your opponent.

Press up+forward, then quickly press forward. The notation is 956

After connecting the cross up I just can't get the follow up can someone tell me why? I'm connecting the m after the cross up but after that there's always a gap so that the opponent could either block or deflect. Don't know what I'm doing wrong
I was having this same problem until just a few seconds ago when i looked closely at the clips. After connecting the cross up, he does a slight dash to close in the distance and then converts to a full combo. So its cross up, dash, then combo. Hope this helps.

How to get hit with a down heavy 101
This seemed more like a what is a cross up rather than a how to perform.
I can see that but really there isn't too much to the "how" just wait for the turn and hit your best reaching button, usually thats your medium.
Instant air dash would be jump - press forward - press R2 (right trigger). But yeah, seriously thats all you need to know. It really is exactly as he said. Mediums have great reach, and you have to use them right when your character turns around during that dash.
How do you do the combo that pushes them higher into the air?
