Giannis made some recent comments alluding to something I've been expecting of him for a while now... Maybe Milwaukee isn't going to be so licky to have Giannis on the Bucks for his entire career after all. #basketball #commentary #nba - Sport
As a Bucks fan, I'd hate to see Giannis go. But as a basketball fan, I'd love to see him surrounded by a new core and in constant contention for a championship.
What more can the bucks do?
@@TheBabyHookPodold ass team anything else would be better
@@TheBabyHookPodleave Milwaukee
The thing is the bucks did what they could but the the guys around him got old and the now their contracts prevent the bucks from surrounding him with great players. When Giannis started those players where already in their prime when Gianni’s was barely reaching his.
Honestly they could have done a lot keeping the old guys together isnt the way moving forward since they dont fit their franchise players timeline in ageing
Basically praying that Marjon Beauchamp becomes like a 15ppg guy on good efficiency
Big ask
That is not an impossible task. Although, last season, I did see that Beauchamp has the potential to become a decent passer.
Giannis is one of the rare players that I would have no problem with leaving there team
I don't see why you should be stuck with a franchise
People pick and choose lmao
what’s wrong with leaving a team? unless it’s durant just loading up with the team that just beat you. i can see that being a weak move. but haven’t you realized there’s no loyalty in business? the owners will cut your throat to make a dollar.
Funny enough you have a picture of a dude who whined and left the team who drafted him, refusing to play for them lol

As a bucks fan, it would hurt to see Giannis leave especially since he got me into them but I respect his will to win
People need to stop blowing this out of context Giannis not leaving Milwaukee he's keeping his foot on Milwaukee neck to stay competing

Giannis said this last time too. But the difference is that this time I believe him. There’s no obvious move that they can make to get someone who moves the needle this time. If something is going to happen to make him stay it will be a move at this trade deadline or a miraculous championship run. Even if they win though, it doesn’t change the issue that the future is very dim
Use common sense this is how you keep your foot on management neck and this is how u acquire better players surrounding you Giannis is very smart
@@theetruth8626 Sure but how do they acquire better players this time? I don't think they have the assets to make another trade as splashy as when they got Jrue. The idea is the same but Giannis has to be willing to leave or the threat doesn't work.
He will certainly stay if they continue to put a contender tier team around him. The entire question is how do they do that with the assets they currently possess?
@@WizardofWestmarch they'll have 3 first-round draft picks to move in a year
The only problem I can think of is that Giannis is still a max contract player, so whatever contending team he goes to will have to be very creative to fit him with the new CBA.
And that they will
Depends on the team. OKC for example could get him pretty easily and offer a great package of picks, young players, and that Dort contract

What better situation? What team has the assets to make a move for Giannis *and* give him a better supporting cast than he has in Milwaukee? Nobody does. It's far easier for the Bucks to surround him with talent than it is others, because CBA.
crazy how things change so fast. their championship was two years ago😪
Jimmy ripped their hearts out 😂🤣😭😭😭😭
I feel like with Giannis and Brook, the Bucks should be the #1 defense in the league. Maybe a coach can help get them there. Too bad Udoka is already taken
Jrue is a great defensive player too.
One thing you didn't talk enough about in this video was the Bucks' lack of assets. The problem is not just that their core is aging. The problem is that they have no means of pivoting out of it. They don't have any picks. They don't have attractive young players. Their best trade chip, besides Giannis, who you're not trading, is Jrue Holiday. How much is Jrue netting you in a trade? His next contract will likely be a net negative.
It is normally "sitting on your hands" but I like "sitting on your thumbs" and the insinuation 😂
Welp this has aged like milk 🤣🤣
Not saying it is the move that they should be looking to do, but there was some noise of Bucks interest in Sexton, what would be a fair price for the Bucks (and the Jazz) ? Something like Grayson Allen, Pat Connaughton and a second or two and/or maybe a protected 1st round swap ? Could they find better "attainable" pieces "on the cheap" elsewhere ?
Going to watch “Bobby Portis Mix” again to cheer me up 😢
i dont believe giannis can be a star level player at 37. he is only a top talent because of how athletic he is. once that fades, his career will be dead.
Giannis needs to fix his flaws to. He needs to get a mid range shot, a post up game and be a whole lot better from the free throw line. I don't subscribe to him needing a 3 point shot, although it wouldn't hurt, just some type of shot to keep the defense honest.
I became a Bucks fan bc of Giannis and how much I love watching him play. If he leaves I'll remain a Bucks fan and I'll always enjoy getting to experience his greatness on another team
love the spurs series
As a Bucks fan I am shocked he stayed in the first place and winning a finals in the way he did was huge. That said There is no way he is going to stay because of the reasons pointed out in the video and the lack of young talent and draft picks is a bit worse then even was said. He was the First Superstar to stay since the big O but that was in the 70's and since then they have traded there best players away year after year , it honestly felt like we were the best D-league team that just happened to be able to play in The NBA. I just hope he finds a good team/roster to join up with and doesn't try and make it so he has to carry a team and will join up with some other legit talent , doesn't need to be a super team but just a well built roster or a "big 2" and a bunch of shooters.
Here after Dame came to town
As a Bucks fan Giannis needs to *commit* himself to fixing this free throw problem, this shit is getting ridiculous, you are a genetic freak, you should not being throwing the ball away like a hand grenade in crunch time or settling for mid range jump shots over crashing your way into the paint and getting free throws, they are free points.
Ok
He has been training with Hakeem on his post game. The man will be a monster next season if he stays healthy
Well this problem is certainly solved
Time for Oklahoma to make Milwaukee an offer they can't refuse

I've been a Bucks fan for a while, back to the Big Dog days. I think management will definitely be considering a trade with OKC.
And then they got dame😂
Still waiting for that Lauri Markkanen apology video!

the phrases you were looking for were

or
"twiddling your thumbs"
As a Bucks fans i want to see Giannis add to his legacy and I know the Bucks don't have that much to offer, I wish him the best.
After your Spurs series you should do a Bucks one and build a roster that you think their management should do ITL
Giannis is the one superstar player that could with a small market team in 2025
Jrue is already 33
Bucks fans and organization should love that from their star. The expectation should be winning
I personally would have zero problem with Giannis leaving the Bucks. If he did I wouldn't feel bad for the Bucks front office. Teams should be willing to accept manageable risks instead of acting too timid. Case in point: the Rockets should have tried to trade for Harden instead of overpaying Fred VanVleet. There is risk involved in a Harden trade (just like with any other trade); however, he is objectively a better player than Fred so it would have been worth it (assuming Harden would have been open to a reunion). Going back to Giannis, he should do whatever is best for his career (all players should do that). Giannis definitely should not consider what the fans want (fans are generally fickle and will turn on a player at any time).
Tobin (Miami Heat radio guy) talks about it a lot, but that Miami series broke that core. They couldn’t handle an 8th seed. Why would they think they could handle the supposedly unstoppable Nuggets? (Yes, I’m still salty about the finals and this summer as a whole as a Heat fan, but I’m just trying to bring a different perspective). Their core is old (in NBA years/compared to Nuggets core), their injury potential is high, and they’ve had one amazing run but many short comings. The new ownership change is also important here. Alas, we’re a month away and ready to get started!
I think the potential to rise is there for Malik and Jrue, but very limited in the latter case. It isn't impossible - see DeRozan and the Spurs - but incredibly unlikely. Very few people improve after 27 let alone 30. Which is a real shame because I love this team.
Will Giannis have a long shelf life though? He doesn’t have a midrange, three-point, jump shot or freethrow, his game entirely depends on his athleticism and bulldozing into other players…
The no midrange thing is just not the case anymore. Yeah he chooses his most efficient shots around the basket but he's not a bad mid range shooter hes improved there a lot. His biggest issue is freethrows because he doesn't need a 3 point shot to be successful.
Well, this aged poorly lol
People are saying the bucks roster is old like they aren’t prime rn
i think this year will decide what giannis does
Giannis to okc confirmed 😭
Giannis is just too good to be surrounded by such aging players. And i think he knows it. It seems to me that he is asking the dront office to trade players without asking for them to trade directly
It's "sitting there twiddling your thumbs"
Who knew someone who did not have English as his first language was one of the most well spoken, straight communicators superstars in the league
U forgot to mention that jrue is also considering retiring when his contract is up in 2 years
Well now the Bucks are for sure not in trouble
I think it’s sit on your laurels, think you had it confused with twiddle your thumbs
I think Giannis will leave regardless, cause the constants contributing to his decision to leave will stay the same win or lose (aging roster, Jrue anouncing retirement after his contract expires, Milwaukee being an unatractive prospect for any player).
Giannis ain’t got time to waste
Busty Ruckets✊️
If he goes cool just don’t go to a stacked team go to a budding core tht u can uplift and put ovr the hump Pacers, Detroit, Hornets places like tht
I don’t want Giannis to leave Milwaukee, because he has become the face of a team that really needs a star to be relevant. Although, if he does decide to change teams, then I hope he chooses either the Raptors or the Bulls.
As a Bucks fan I feel like I can say with some confidence that no star player will ever request a trade to Milwaukee lmao.
Man, make a damn free-throw

Jaylen Brown, Porzingas, 5 1st round picks, however many 2nds. Job done. Giannis you're a Celtic!
It probably wouldn't require Jaylen AND Kristaps. Especially with that many picks involved. It would be probably either or. Most likely Jaylen, though
@@StevenPlesz Any seismic trade will have to include JB just to start with. His contract alone dictates that. Either way the Cs are in the best position to make a huge move. All NBA caliber players, tradeable contracts, own all our own picks, have like 2000 second round picks etc.
ngl the bucks are in a sticky situation they have no assets or young star player to trade for a all star borderline superstar and they are championship contenders so their draft picks are more then likely mid to late 20s in the first round and late 40s to mid 50s in the second round and the chances of finding a championship level player like a jokic at 41 or tony parker at 28 is slim to none
Y'all funny use common sense this is how Milwaukee got Jrue Holiday u freezes everybody chances of bidding for free agents by thinking they can acquire a Giannis
Giannis has been dropping a lot of hints really but he aint fixed his broken ass jumpshot.

@@justsomejusstsome8994In the playoffs when the game gets tight. If you need a bucket giannis doesn’t even touch the ball cuz he can’t shoot
@@Newportnews98 And yet statistically, Giannis is one of the best 4th quarter performers in the playoffs. How could that be?
@@justsomejusstsome8994 because he could average 35. It's about being the best you can be, yes he is amazing but three years ago we we're saying if Giannis had a pull up he would be the goat, nobody says that anymore.
As long as he doesn't go to Miami, I'm cool. I just don't want to see him go to Miami because they were by far the most annoying about thinking Giannis was theirs with the last will he/ won't he over his extension signing. I know everyone was fearing it was happening, but I kind of want to see what a Luka/Giannis team is. Kyrie should probably be out by that time.
Honestly Miami would be a very similar situation to the Bucks or even Golden State. They’re all aging teams. Giannis would likely go to a younger team that has significant flexibility in terms of roster construction. The best options are OKC, Knicks, Nets, and Pacers with the Kings coming next. Idk if he’d actually go to any of them but they’d be the best fits
As a suns fan; Ayton and KD for Giannis. CHANGE MY MIND
What if next off-season the nuggets trade MPJ, Gordon and like 4 firsts for Giannis. Giannis will be an expiring contract.
He's not worth half of that. seriously.
@@justinrodgers1485 recency bias 😥it’s getting to ya. I’m afraid
This is big talk coming from someone who skated by on his championship run.
Giannis is a competitor, but not winner, per se.
He's a winner insofar as he's a champion, but he's not really a winner, if that makes sense.
He doesn't really elevate his teammates, he hasn't added to his game other than bulking up, and the team has capitulated to him at every turn.
He's not being quite the dick about it that say Kyrie or KD were, but he's going about it like them.
It's nust more of the same erroneously named "player empowerment".
If he does this, stop comparing him to guys like Dirk, Timmy etc.
It's the example of Lebron, in terms of putting pressure on management. People think that this is what winners do. Never mind that Lebron added to his game all the time, elevated his teams, and won. Then again, he jumped from team to team to good situations as well.
Lebron is the GOAT runner up, and he set an example that other players are following. Big 3, superteams, pressure on management, jump to a better situation if you can.
I am not too sure what you mean by that. Giannis is the Bucks 2nd best passer on the team, only behind Jrue Holiday. He plays great defense, and he gives 110% on the floor every other night. Giannis does want to improve his game and health as much as possible. He is going to travel down to Houston to work with Hakeem on his footwork. Giannis has already worked with some of the best retired NBA players such as Jason Kidd, Kevin Garnett, and Kobe.
You said a whole bunch of nonsense
I’m convinced the Bucks front office doesn’t want Giannis. Hiring a coach that hasn’t been an HC ever, signed Robin Lopez, the re-signings of old players, etc.
They chose Adrian Griffin because Giannis liked him. But you’re right they’re not doing the right things to keep him around
@@ryanshearer5653 Yeah, but just because we got him because Giannis liked him, doesn’t mean it will automatically fully benefit the team to make a finals appearance, which is what Giannis is ultimately looking for
@@TVHC That's the thing. Lebron wanted the Russell Westbrook trade, and it backfired big time. Players want to be GM, but take no flack when their moves backfire.
Giannis wanted Griffin and the rest of the players talked about how they want a "playerys coach", even Bobby tweeted that Khris getting hurt and the Bucks losing Ham was the biggest reason they didn't went to b2b finals. Ham was the linke between the players and Bud
@@southsouthsouthside yeah, but just because Giannis wanted Griffin doesn’t automatically mean it’s better for the team. It can still go wrong. Hope it doesn’t though

I don’t wanna see Giannis go as the Bucks fan he can bring the title for the bucks
Nah the bucks are the trouble now Dame And Giannis
Plus everyone on the bucks surprisingly are getting old and when it's too late, Giannis may not get another chip
I mean...yeah that is kinda the whole point bro.
Nooo Giannis, don't take the LeLeave route and jump teams every time it gets tough.
0:13 LeBron plays 55 of 82 games since arriving in LA he ain't beating father time .
Also your core getting "old" is not an excuse to leave the team.
MJ bulls were the oldest team in the NBA when winning their championships
So basically, you're saying that Giannis should just stand pat and wait for things to improve, thus potentially wasting more good years of his career? Keep in mind that they have very limited cap space and very little assets, and the new CBA makes it harder to improve the roster. Not to mention that Middleton, Holiday, and Lopez are all in their early to mid 30s, Middleton's health has been an issue, and Holiday has openly discussed retirement in the near future. Also, Middleton and Holiday are both inconsistent in the playoffs, including the year they won the championship.
Giannis needs to ask for a trade.

I wonder how Bucks fans would treat Giannis if he leaves and when he returns.
Fine? He gave them many years of success and a championship. There's no drama there, so no need to try and manufacture it.
Like Bulls fans with D Rose more than Cavs fans when LeBron went to Miami
Bucks fans have respect because of how bad we suffered before Giannis came along. They would hate to see him go but they would welcome him back every time he comes through.

If Giannis is smart, he’s join the Mavs. He and Luka would run the league for a very long time.
Luka isn’t going to share the ball with giannis and Kyrie
I'm not so sure about Giannis's longevity. He's so reliant on his physical gifts that I'm not sure what he has to fall back on if they slip even a little bit. I think he'll be great for another 3-4 years. But after the 2024-25 season, he has a player option which he'll surely decline. This means that some team will end up having to give him a five-year supermax as he enters his age 31 season. We're talking $70+ million by the end of the contract. The age 33-35 seasons of that deal could look really bad. Don't get me wrong. I think you bite that bullet if you're a GM because you're getting such a good player on the front end. But are you trading every player on your roster plus five picks to get him if Milwaukee starts shopping him next season? The answer is still probably yes, but it's a lot scarier of a proposition than it seems on the surface.
Bro Giannis is Giannis. By age 35 he'll have developed his jumpshot and playmaking way more and he'll still be really athletic. He'll still be 6'11 with a 7'5"+ wingspan. He'll age like Bron probably
Celtics? The Celtics aren’t even better than the heat 😂
He brought them a champion and now it’s time to move on.
Another bucks video made with little research. Got the ages wrong consistently thru the video.
No mention of the new coach and the varying levels of confidence in him and his nee approach to the potential system theyll have and his drafting and bringing in youth to the team. The very coach that jimmy butler credits a ton of his nba success to.
No mention of hoe next season Giannis can sign the biggest contract extension in nba history next summer. No mention of the 3 first round picks they can use next summer and trade expiring deals in jrue, grayson, and pat.
Its actually crazy how most of this video was basically, they havent lived up to expectations lately and i think other teams might be better. No ins and outs were discussed or even explored. Super lazy video man.

I would rather have Giannis acting entitled to win another championship than Kawhi Leonard and Anthony Davis being complacent and doing absolutely nothing to improve their own health. At least Giannis is actually trying to improve his game with an NBA legend, along with working on his knee issues.
Nothing wrong with him saying he wants to win. He’s not treating this like Dame, AD, or Kawhi. Miami was only the 8 seed because they had so many injuries in the regular season. He’s honestly handling it pretty well. He’s giving them two years notice

As a fan of a small market team, I don't like "the players should leave asap these markets" talk, but as far as loyalty goes, at least he's talking it nearing the end of his third contract in the league, after bringing a ring to his city (and in his case doing so at a high risk of a career altering/ending injury, not that I think that should be demanded from players, but when talking loyalty and players freedom, it is something I do value pointing out), and talking about leaving only in the context of needing a championship level team around him as a superstar, not as "i'm a hyped star that's more of a wannabe superstar that an actual superstar, already throwing shade on record and/or through media rumours at moving out for a big three amid the start of my rookie extension, while i'm so much the hot stuff but weirdly not good enough to drag a competent team to a conference finals by myself" as it is way too much the norm and something pushed around not just by players, but media and fans in general.
