- Peyton Manning vs. Tom Brady and now Joe Burrow vs. Patrick Mahomes. The Cincinnati Bengals will return to Arrowhead to face the Kansas City Chiefs in an AFC Championship Game rematch. Burrow is 3-0 in his career against Mahomes, while the Chiefs QB is in his fifth straight AFC title game. Kansas City has reached and hosted the AFC Championship since Mahomes entered the league, in which he has one Super Bowl MVP, a regular season MVP and two Super Bowl appearances. Since Burrow came into the league and when he has played the full season he has won! So if he wins again he’s better cause he wasn’t playing when Patrick won his rings so if he keeps him away from going to the Super Bowl two years in a row then how can you say he’s not better?!?! Cause if Joe wins this year then he’s been to the Super Bowl two years in a row which are his only two full years in the league!! Yes Pat did that also but he did it before Joe was in the league so you can’t claim Pat is better for winning when Joe wasn’t there. But if Patrick wins Sunday then yes he’s the best. Cause Burrow has the chance to make it to 5 straight also so far he’s played 2 years and made it there both! Either way we get to see some great football this year and for many years to come and both will continue to play each other so we will definitely know in the end who truly is the best!!

It’s cause the rules make it so that the QB’s usually have the last say at the the end of the day. And both teams have similar deficiencies and strengths so it ends up coming down to who can get the job done when they have the ball in their hands. Controlling the clock, setting the tempo, scoring when needed, etc.
This exactly. The best way to compare quarterbacks is to look at stats, and by that metric Mahomes is THE BEST qb in the league. If the Bengals beat the chiefs on Sunday that only proves that the Bengals have a better team. You would think that sports analysts would be quick to point that out, but they never do.

It's the inconsistency of the KC defense that lets us down. We have an average defense and still reach the AFC championship game for the 5th straight year. That just shows how good Mahomes is at keeping us in games. If Mahomes had a Cinci defense or a 49ers defense we'd be in another league. I am worried about this week as you can't deny how good Burrow is. But I think we can and hope we can do it!

Why did it take 10 minutes to acknowledge that football is a team game and it's not QB vs QB? That's what's do dumb about this argument. Joe burrow clearly has a better team. Better weapons, better defense, better special teams. So if Burrow wins, it doesn't matter. Mahomes was objectively the better QB not just this year but every single year of Burrows career and it wasn't particularly close. One game does not change that outlook.

If Burrow wins Sunday and caps it off with a ring, Bengals will be the team to beat and if you look at the stats, defensively KC and Cincy numbers are similar. Your wrong there, in those 3 games Burrow's AVG Completion Percentage: 72.2%, 8:1 TD-INT Ratio, 327.3 Yd Avg. Mahomes 67.3%, 6:2 TD-INT Ratio, 252.3 Yd Avg. Both of them played very well agaisnt each other. Burrow has the edge through 3 games head to head though. As far as everything else as it stands Mahomes has the SB Title, SB MVP and League MVP (2nd MVP Soon). Burrow is knocking on the door trying to catch up and he could start this year. As I see it Mahomes is #1 because of SB WIn (because that what matters.) Burrow #2 with AFC Title last year and Allen pulling in 3rd with AFC Title loss to Mahomes and recent Divisional loss to Burrow. This excludes NFC teams.
Mahomes is only better as a individual player because of how much longer he’s been in the league if burrow came in the same time this would be a lot different conversation

I love how everyone says 3-0 but always neglects to mention how those games went. Up big in both of the first two, the chiefs straight up got complacent and let cincy ride the momentum too long. The last game they only lose because a HOF had a rare big time fumble. Like these are not asswhoopings. The chiefs have shot themselves all three times. The bengals have a better team this year than they did last year so I don’t see us jumping out to a big lead like last year. I do think the world is gonna have to take notice when pat turns into robocop like he has multiple times before and becomes a stone cold killer.

Then uncharacteristic things happen that gives Cincy the edge, a Kelce fumble, a Mahomes pick, a 60 yard DPI. KC has the best QB on the second best team, Cincy has the second best QB on the best team. If you’re comparing individual players and not TEAMS, then accolades matter. Rings matter, MVP’s matter.
