  • For the first time since 1988, the Cincinnati Bengals punched their ticket to the Super Bowl after a 27-to-24 overtime victory versus the Kansas City Chiefs. Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes threw two picks in the second half as Joe Burrow and the Bengals erased a 21-to-3 deficit. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe recap the AFC Championship Game and grade how shocking Kansas City's second half collapse was.

The Bengals are a good football team. They have one of the best young quarterbacks in the league, along with the best WR group in the NFL. They have a pro bowl stud running back in Joe Mixon and they have a great play caller in Brian Callahan running the offense. The biggest surprise for the Bengals this year is their defense! Man,that defense has completely turned it around. They have meat in the middle with DJ Reader, with very good edge rushers in Hendrickson and Hubbard. That secondary is very good as well. You have Jesse Bates,Von Bell,Eli Apple,Chidobe Awuzie and Trae Wayns. Those guys are all ball hawks back there! Then they have 2 good linebackers in Logan Wilson and Pratt. That defense made the adjustments at halftime to shut down the Chiefs and Patty Mahomes!

Honestly, that 2nd and goal stop was the difference and changed the momentum. I was wondering why they went for it on their last down of the half when they could have ended the half w 14 point lead, not giving Bengals a chance to switch momentum in game.
Maholmes was terrible second half. He stayed looking down field for 10 secs on two plays hoping for someone to be open when he had wide open field in front of him and could've ran for a chunk.

Rodgers has in the past, but Rodgers didn't choke this year, before the game turned into an ice game the second half, packers were not having problems driving. That player at the end of the half cutting in instead of running straight cost them going up 14-0 at half. Either way, special teams ultimately lost it, missing field goals, getting the punt blocked.
