- Today we have a very special guest, my little brother, Preston Bare. He is the COO at Bare Performance Nutrition and has played a crucial role in building the brand over the past ten years. After college, Preston gave up his safe career and moved across the country to take a chance on the future of BPN (when we were making less than no money). And today, we are sharing stories and lessons that helped us build BPN into the multi-million dollar brand it is today. Enjoy the episode!

I know I'm late on this one, but as a kid growing up on a chicken farm in south AL, you guys nailed it. Massive investment, low margins, and a lot of risk. My folks managed to pay them off after 13 years and then shut them down. It provided a life for us in a low-income part of the country with very little industry, and we never went hungry, but we went a few years living under the poverty line while working our tails off. Most folks don't understand the struggle and sacrifice of farmers in this country.
I miss Preston lol. He should do more content. I’m curious how much of the company he owns. Definitely deserves to have ownership after everything he did.
Pretty sure Nick gave him equity a few years ago.
@@nortonrob_tx Pretty sure he had equity pretty much from the beginning because he used all of his own money to float the business when he first joined and moved down to Texas. They dont mention it here but he's said it before in previous stories. Thats the only way you would work for free in the first place.
Happy for Preston, I was an avid follower on CZcams throughout the journey and always felt I related to Preston more of the duo, especially as a younger non military bro myself.
Soooo appreciate this one! Preston has been in the background for a long time, and it’s so cool to hear his side of the story! Way to be a family’s stick together and do this thing.
Glad you did this, happy he’s still involved and doing well. Miss the days of y’all farting around Round Rock grabbing some donuts and HEB then hitting a random outdoor gym for a session before posting your new overnight oats recipe. Was stoked to see BPN at Vitamin Shoppe last month, been all over that Blue Raz Flight
Great cameras, quality, and content.
Great journey guys, I would keep the "it's good to be consistently good rather than occasionally great!"Go one more!
Awesome! 🎱🏆
Running a business with your brothers has been a rewarding experience!
Congratulations on your success.
Definitely a inspiration for us.
Hell yeah. Excited for this one! I just launched my business Saturday so I can wait to take some nuggets of information from this episode.

Nick,
Watching BPN grow has been very cool. Glad to see another Veteran/Family owned business succeed!
Let us know if you want a pool table for the warehouse. 🎱

Love this episode. As someone starting a business with my family, this was amazing to hear. The ups, downs, highs, and lows; appreciate you guys for sharing the reality and reward of pursuing your dreams.
I enjoy all your content, I listen to your podcast during cardio sessions, since I don't need to view it. Keep them coming.
I need Preston’s shirt for when I’m in uniform for the Army!

They use to say you could tell a lot about who a person is by what they do for a living. What kind of man are you talking to and I suppose its true, based on how many different scenarios of life are out there. I realized that some people just dont get it their whole life--like connecting a sense of IQ --once bitten twice shy or 28 days later- or jim carry and crawford in silence of the lambs- gun n roses---shot gun blues and billy idol in white wedding Hey little sister, what have you done?
Hey little sister, who's the only one?
Hey little sister, who's your Superman?
Hey little sister, who's the one you want?
Hey little sister, shotgun
You can really know that men are different and that people are different---the kind of person that is inside of you. Some people are 1 in a million as you wont find that combination very easily !! and I think thats what makes a man attractive MORE than --muscles is that they have a sense of intelligence and accomplishment about handling their life. Knowing how to have leadership and making that decision about what to do and how to get is accomplished.
I dont know what a chicken farmer is---i think you really have to push yourself harder and that is part of what makes a person who they are --its misunderstood by the majority.....that you really have to push yourself so hard people dont know what it takes to be successful....So maybe you should push harder to find something else in life to do....men can be scary !!! so many claims to leadership......I havent found that yet.
Promise the cost of a 5lb bag of protein wouldn't be too high for the customer, bring it back! 2 pounds is way too short lived.
Not hating but I’ve always thought this was weird. Genuine question- is it “from scratch” if you were able to use family homes as free storage/stock rooms and family labor as cheap/free labor? Seems more like the dough was bought at a store and everything else in the pie is from scratch ya know?
Huh? Were his parents supposed to tell him to go rent commercial space to start up his business? You wouldn't lend your son(s) a hand to help them chase their dreams? Seems like you're a hater
Lol you make no sense. Was he supposed to grow the wheat to make the flour first?
@@christinb5766nah Nick has to synthesize his own H20 to water the soil to grow his own wheat, for this guy to give him any credit 😂
Another reason why they aren't juicing... they couldn't afford steroids back then lmao
