📖 GLOSSARY: 📖
► False Vocal Folds: False vocal folds, also called ventricular folds are a pair of thick folds of mucous membrane that are located above the larynx. They close when swallowing to protect the lungs.
► Thin Vocal Folds: When the folds thin out when you go higher in the range. Also known as head voice.
► Falsetto: When the vocal folds are stiff and let out air.
► Thick Vocal Folds = When you are in your chest register (so lower than an A above middle C ish) the true vocal folds are thick, and therefore we call this thick vocal folds.
► True Vocal folds = Vocal cords. They aren't cords at all but folds of tissue and ligament, so we stay clear of you thinking they are like two ropes in your larynx.
► Larynx: the place in the throat where the Vocal Folds / Vocal Cords live.

I am obsessed with this song! For some reason I always lean towards the French entries in Eurovision
The song is about feeling like you've lost control of your life because of a bad relationship and broken promises, and picking yourself up to regain that control and start anew.
I know many have already suggested Alika (Estonia), which I fully second, but would you consider making a video for Lithuania too?
Also, if you do touch on past editions, I highly recommend Cornelia Jakobs (Sweden) from last year.

I love these kind of videos ! You should do Cyprus next, the singer’s vocal are extraordinary.
I prefer by far the recorded version. She has other fantastic songs. Évidemment was one of my favorites before the show.

I wish they had just gone with the staging of the music video..she was so amazing in that, and could move her body. Vocal-wise she lost quite a bit to the recording, but still pretty solid.
She was the best! She is the the real winner! This song will remain in the history of music, like Indila's Derniere dance'.
They leaned into the dark moody strings much more in her original clip after she was announced and then seemed to go heavier down the disco route for the grand final.

She also kind of screwed herself over a bit, La Zarra is afraid of heights, and every time that platform goes up you can hear it in her voice, her confidence was through the roof when it was lowered. It was stunning staging though.
Ah. I did wonder why she sounded kinda off compared to the... whatchamacallem... pre-party? performances.

I came across your channel, through this video. Your comments and reactions are on point. You analyze each song with so much attention. If you have time, could you please do a reaction video for two of my favorites: Armenia 2016 - Iveta Mukuchyan and Italy 2015 - Il Volo?
That's a cool remark about the belting and leaning backwards. I've also seen singers like Katy Perry lean forwards and go down while belting extremely high notes. Is that a good thing or is it better to lean backwards like Celine?

I think she was and is amazing. The song is incredible and she looks amazing. I was rooting for France 😌
I think what would have helped the performance is instead of her going back up on the podium, she got off and danced/had some choreo during the disco part.

That's what she wanted originally but it was refused by the eurovision team for safety so she was stranded up there

Yeah! Chanel was awesome! Lots of people said alot about her outfit instead of the fact that she can sing.
Unfortunately my favorites this year didn't do very good. I really wanted Switzerland to win but they got 20th place. I also liked Armenia that got 14th place and Latvia who didn't even qualify to the final for some reason.

@@ZoeStibiVocalCoach an incredible performance. My choir were asked to provide backing vocals to a surprise performance of that song that Conchita did in Dublin in April. It feels strange to type those words out.
