Hey, beautiful song and fantastic honest reaction! If you havent already you got to react to Norway's entry! They got dead last in the grand final which is completely baffling because it was one of the best songs, stagings AND vocal performances. It probably got overlooked because of its genre but please see for yourself and get blown away by the singer's and her band's performance.

The song is about the strength and resilience of Ukrainian women who keep fighting standing on the shoulders of their ancestors. The imagery of fallen lights represents phosphorus bombs which russia uses to shell Ukraine even though it’s a chemical weapon forbidden by the international law. Thank you so much for being so sincere and supportive. There’s no such thing as insignificant help. I'm in love with this song, I have it on repeat. I know these lyrics are about Gender identity and breaking out of the chains of what society expects you to be but quite honestly as someone who is classed as neurodivergent. These lyrics work for people on the spectrum too. I think this is why the song resonate with me so much.

i just realized the lyrics contains the words "avada kedavra" which is the killing curse from harry potter. That made my potter head heart really happy (i don't like killing or the curse itself but what made me happy is her referencing harry potter)

I don't think singing is insignificant. Art gives people hope, it nourishes the soul when the rest of the world is crumbling down. For them to be able to sing like that while their country is being destroyed is a beautiful thing. It means their spirit cannot be crushed.
