- Exploring the lyrics of Coraline by the Måneskin, I delve into the struggles of self-identity, self-discovery, struggle, pain, and resilience. As we explore the depths of Caroline's story, I emphasize the importance of embracing one's own truth, the weight of unspoken pain, and the transformative power of breaking free from limiting beliefs. The focus of this song is to break the silence of someone who is suffering, by encouraging them to speak their truth. I hope this helped in some way. If you're passionate about mental health and self-discovery, this video is for you. I'm excited to hear your thoughts!
With love,
Sofia

They are incredibly mature lyrics, written when they were so young. They can apply to anyone, whatever age.
thank you for making these explanation videos, these songs truly deserve to be understood by everyone cause they have such powerful messages. By the end of the video my eyes were watery just like yours 😭
i suggest torna a casa or la paura del buio next!!
Aww thank you! I absolutely agree, and I’m so happy you appreciated it🥺❤️
Also, I really did my best not to cry🤣 glad I’m not the only one who got emotional 🥹
You’re the most underrated person I’ve ever seen
I don't think anyone will ever say something sweeter than that. Thank you so much, really. You don't know how happy this made me🥺❤️
That's the meaning.. To explain it at school as a modern poetry and you are a perfect teacher..
Absolutly, this too should be taught in school. And aww thank you! That's really sweet 🥺❤️
Wow, loved the translation and the interpretation. I fell in love with this song yesterday and I keep listening to it in repeat.
Thank you!!! ❤️ This song is really beautiful, and they have so many that are just as deep and melodic ✨
I found this song because of the beautiful guitar in this and yes I jumped on it and am in the middle of learning the song. But I just heared the translation and... my god i love this song even more because Coraline is me, not too long ago. And if I think about it the line "Coraline wants the sea, but she's afraid of water" is where I stood not too long ago, maybe without realizing it or, more likely, without caring I am at that point. I failed an exam during an aprenticeship for my job training and in a bit, I need to go back into another aprenticeship... it stopped the very few plans I had in life up until last summer, I cried a lot and I somedays wished to just get in a plane, fly where ever and never return again. I doubted myself so much, that I even forgot the stuff in school I should have known, because I remember the lessons from last year and I remember that question and I know I should know this, because this is a class I know I am good in. I now know that I simply was so scared of failing again, that it consumed my mind in a way I never felt before. I talked to some people about it, I chatted with my teachers to make sure I know what I need to do and what I don't need to do and, maybe most importantly for me: I reached out to some friends and classmates of mine and asked for help, a network to talk about each others aprenticeships, maybe get some inspirations and most importantly to me: I chose people who I know will kick me in the ass if I am being too lazy and who'll have an open ear if I feel like I have to talk with someone. I feel so, so much calmer about the aprenticeship ever since then and in general I just feel a sort of ease I haven't felt in a long time. I know I will have to fight, and I know it is very possible for me to get scared again once it starts, but I won't be alone this time, because I dared to ask people for help for once and that just has to be my biggest achievement in the last 6 months for me
Thank you so taking the time and having the strength for share this. “Caroline wants the sea but she’s afraid of water” is one of my favourite sentences. It captures so much in just a few words. I’m so happy to hear you are doing better. You got this❤️
I know you will achieve your goals. Believe in you😊
Thankyou so much for this in-depth english explanation. Idk Italian and was listening to this song for too long to hold my curiosity
Beautiful song.. I fell in love after the amazing live performance I saw in which Damiano was singing on the verge of crying and wondered what it means or for who he wrote this..
Love Italian song❤Love from India❤
Thank so much!!❤️ So glad you liked it✨❤️
Bellissima interpretazione di questa canzone così intensa.❤
Grazie mille❤️
This has always as been one of my favorite songs of theirs even though I don’t speak Italian and couldn’t understand. Hearing your translation really seals it for me…it just makes it all the more beautiful and poetic and I totally get why I instinctively loved this song. Thank you.
Im so happy to read this! That’s why I translated it, it’s one of my favourites too :) Thank you for listening❤️
Wow you’re good ❤
Thank you ❤️
You make it, girl! Amazing good job! I can’t wait for the next one! Cheers, Ciao, Luca
Thank you thank you thank you!❤️❤️❤️
Sofia✨
This song reminds me of a Disney princess with a messy background running away from home , starting an adventure to find herself in a vast dark “Tim Burton” style world with medieval and fantasy elements.
Never thought of that! Interesting point
This so clearly explains the passion at San Remember 2022
Thank you 🥺❤❤❤
Thank you forbthis ❤❤❤❤❤Hope you translate other Maneskin italian songs for us english who truly love the emotions we hear in the italian of his songs ❤❤❤❤
Aww thank you so much❤️ I’m so happy you appreciated it! I definitely will❤️
This is amazing!!!
Thank you❤️❤️❤️
I also heard that in Rome the Verano cemetery is called a castle. I do not know how true this is, but this can give additional meaning to the last lines of the song. Perhaps Coraline was thinking about suicide.
Coraline killed herself. She is buried there. She was a real person.
I haven't watched this video, just came to the comments. Looks like some bits are wrong from what I read.
@@pebblesandwoowoo5924 I'm surprised there are still people who don't know that "Coraline" is about Georgia Soleri. And she didn't commit suicide, she's alive.
Sei stata BRAVISSIMA! 🤩
Grazie❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love this reaction ❤
Thank you🥺❤️
Grazie. Brava!
Grazie mille!
❤
Complimenti davvero bellissima spiegazione.
Excellent analysis!
Damiano has also said that he wants his lyrics to be interpreted by the listener in their own personal way. So the focus should not be on the exact reason Damiano wrote the lyric or exactly what his story is, but instead on how the person listening can identify their own feelings and experiences to feel the song. He described this as the Art, when one song can have multiple reactions with similar emotions by different people with unique stories.
So when I heard the song for the first 10 times I also cried.
The song is a masterpiece!
@@randolphh8005 Thank you❤
And yes, absolutely! Like every piece of art, it is meant to be interpreted. At different times of your life, it might spark different emotions or feelings. This song always makes me tear up haha
mii hai fatto emozionare
adesso ho capito cosa intendevi🤣 Grazie, cambiato🤣
where is your IG acc
sofiabonixo 🥰❤️
Okay
Fantastic explanation! 🩵
Thank you!!❤️
