  • Hey there,
    this video is all about being a small content creator and the dream to grow your account to be able to make money doing something you love to do. This journey is not easy and knowing only 8% of people make it to get monetized can be really draining. The key is with those that stay consistent, don't give up when the videos don't get the views you're hoping to get and learning from every new video. Trust the process, the algorithm will take care of it later!

    We are ready to give 3-10 years for our college till we start earning money, we should probably give ourselves at least 5 years for youtube. But yes we should be hardworking throughout the process similar to what we would be in college. Passion is also important while doing content creation, milking views is easy but may not help you become great. Arcane Coral Best of luck for the future journey!! Thank you so much for this. Getting pretty much no views after uploading and spending days on the video - it's uplifting to have this recommended on my home page. As you may know, a lot of us starting out, we don't really have that many like-minded people who get what we're trying to do in our in-person circles.

    • @arcanecoral

      I appreciate you for making that comment! Feels good to see others being in the same position, still figuring everything out. It can be hard knowing the work that you put into the video doesn't get the recognition it deserves yet. But it will happen! Even with this video, it had 100 views and then just went down, I changed the title and thumbnail font color and now it has 900 views. It's like painting on a canvas, it all starts with one line or video no1, as we keep adding lines we see a picture and the same thing with our videos. Keep it up!!!

    I often feel like I'm speaking into the void! 🤣 It really seems like virality favors a specific type of personality and vibe. It's as if anyone who doesn’t fit into the algorithm’s preferred box just gets overlooked.

      I feel you. I think the same thing happens in person, if you are a certain way there's a high chance the mass doesn't like you and it leads you to think you need to act a certain way to be liked. Same thing applies to the algorithm. It just means it will take longer for the algorithm to find your people if what you do and how you think isn't mainstream, but those people that search for your type of content will appreciate to hear you and that's all that matters! I agree. Today again (it happens often) I saw a video from someone saying that we need to look for and follow the viral trends etc. I was thinking about this, but if you go viral and you made a video from a trend, what will you do next? You will likely be stuck in that topic and it is not good (that trend video may not have been exactly part of your niche), or you will get the wrong subscribers.

    • @arcanecoral
      @arcanecoral  Před 22 dny +1

      Yes!! I think it’s so important to learn how to be most authentic in front of the camera, because that is how you will grow organically and attract the people that like you for being you. No matter what niche you’re in every person is adding their own seasoning to the topic and that’s what makes people to follow new accounts, seeing another style of content. :)

    Having a viral video was useful.
    Until about 2 weeks ago I'd been posting for about 6 months, with some interest, but a long way from my monetization goal. I was getting a bit demotivated and reconsidering the time and effort, then for reasons which are completely unfathomable, one of my videos just blew-up. It was so much fun to watch the numbers rising almost before my eyes!
    Anyway, that single video pushed me well over the 1000 subs and within a couple of days I was past the very challenging 4000 hours, and monetized! Yeah!
    The pace has slowed way down again and making any real money (about $2.00 a day at the moment ... and falling!) will perhaps require a different strategy now. But getting over that first hurdle is a lot of work and I probably couldn't have done it without that single viral vid.

      @arcanecoral  Před 5 dny +1

      Thank you for sharing your story. And I agree that it helps especially when you thought about giving up, I just wanted to share that there's also the side where you get demotivated posting after having a successful/viral video and that's where a lot of people quit. It's about seeing it as a journey that goes up and down and constantly improving a little.

    • @arcanecoral
      @arcanecoral  Před 12 dny

      Thank you for sharing your story! It's always good to put yourself out there whether it's seen or not. It's good to have that mindset. And you will see with time what works for you and what doesn't. I noticed for example how important good thumbnails are. It's crazy to think that so many people see your video recommended but the thumbnail really has to be on point + title & topic for the people wanting to see your video. If you look at my most viewed videos you will see they all have usually less than 4 words on the title and an interesting topic that kind of changes the way I think about a situation and people want to change their mindset/life to live better. It's just about creating value in some kind and getting better with speaking, editing etc. until the algorithm sees you and recommends your content to the right people. Keep it up!! :)

    • @arcanecoral
      @arcanecoral  Před 12 dny

      Heyy, so the problem is that if you don't post consistantly the algorithm will automatically not show your content to as many people anymore. So it will take some time to get back to higher views. Second your video that went viral was probably about a trending topic, so either look for more trending topics and try to find your niche so people want to follow to see similar content in the future.
