Imagine If the fans got what they wanted in the first year of Klopp and Pep at Liverpool and man city they would have been sacked as well. Spurs fans are very very short sighted

Spot on. Listening to Hoddle after the game was painful and representative of these short sighted fans. He made Owen sound like a genius as Owen had seen this all before with Liverpool when Klopp first came in and has seen the end product after the necessary pain early on.
It’s always the same minority of fans who are extremely loud and have the emotional stability of a little girl on her first menstrual cycle. For any manager this is at least a 3-4 year cycle to really start competing. Every time we sack a manager that cycle restarts. I have nothing but confidence in Ange. He’s a fantastic manager and alongside Pararatici has done an excellent job in recruitment. As of today we have one of the youngest and most exciting squads in the world and they’re only going to get better. Fans just need to be patient and trust the system. This idea that a first year manager with a young squad and the 7th highest wage bill are supposed to be fighting at the top of the table is beyond absurd. If reports are true and they’re prepared to back Ange with £200M+ in transfer spend this summer then I’d expect we take another step forward next season. It’s a process. The ONLY thing that can hold us back is the totally irrational segment of fans who insist upon injecting as much negativity as possible into the club they claim to care so deeply about but are hellbent on sabotaging at every chance they get.
Dude, 90% of fans have never played football themselves. Their only experience with football is FIFA. So honestly, can't care less about what they think of something they have zero clue about.
Today was just a lack of quality. It wasn't the effort or the football or the tactics. Liverpool simply had far better players than us. This is why summer is super important. Can't fk it up
Been reading the comments and there's loads to say. Here are my thoughts on some of the general posts
1. Ange isnt the man for this job. Yes he is... We had Mourinho, Conte, even Nuno and none of them had us playing well after a coupke of months. It aeems to he a trend with the Spurs players over time. But i think Ange can get us playing, and I couldn't say that about the others.
2. The tactics are wrong... I think the players are tired, and we're defintely lacking something in the final third. Theres been a few games that we should have put to bed but have been wasteful, many others that we xould have controlled with better pressing work inside the opposition half. We'll still shop goals, but we should be outscoring most teams in the league.
3. Theres no plan B... Theres plenty of examples of the team having a poor first half and a very good second half. So this isnt true. Different personnel coming in have also changed the way we play.
3. The players are at fault. The players are doing their best and we should support them, that's always been my view. That said i also think we need to change the squad, sell some players and bring in some different players; a dominant midfielder that can prevent counter attacks, another left back another speedy centrehalf, a different option up front, like a big centre forward. Squad-wise we're still set up as a counter-attacking unit, and this does need to change.
Absolutely agree with what he's saying, I'm sorry these absolute idiots saying ange out... There's a reason why you're not managers, let this guy build a squad and then judge him 🙄🙄
Note how today AT LONG LAST they had players giving Vicario protection when the opposition had a corner, and hey presto, Liverpool gave it up after a few corners with no success. Absolutely ridiculous the amount of matches and goals conceded that this has gone on for when EVERYBODY with a pair of eyes could see there was a problem. Coaching staff to blame for that, no one else.
Same against Chelsea, Porro and Vic was shoving them off, really great to us adapt there even tho its basic, now we just need to fix everything else

Total rubbish is what he spouts. Tottenham only came to life when they put Son on the left and Richarlieson on in the centre forward role and started hitting long balls up to them. Son is not a centre forward. Tottenham look an awful side when they are playing the sideways, backwards, slow build up, trianglular passing that every team now seems to play. It just doesn't suit them. They looked so much better when they had the 'get the ball and men forwards as quickly as possible' style backed up by a huge work rate in terms of closing teams down quickly in the opposition's half of the pitch. The style of play he is looking for simply does NOT suit a team that is not capable of it anyway given the lack of quality throughout the squad.

It was 2 : 0 at the break. And their 2nd goal came just before halftime. Both goals required support from Emerson Royal. And he was seen dining with Jurgen Klopp, after the match.
don't just play the system. Change some players. Lo celso should be played. So should dragusin. Bring in some kids who are hungry for game time. Change the game

Not criticising, just curious, but what do you think Dragusin brings that VDV and Cuti don’t? And if you mean at LB, I don’t think Dragusin or VDV could play that position really. It demands a lot in terms of keeping the ball in tight areas and getting forward, which I haven’t seen from either of them really
@@mattkilsby947 If we play a back 3, then we can still be protected when cuti takes the more advanced positions that he sometimes likes to take. also, that gives us 1 extra player in the midfield, where we can bring in lo celso or even donoley. I am no manager but it could be worth a try. we are massively open at the back bc of all the players we commit forward, this way it'll provide some protection even when playing our system
Why don't we start every game 2-0 down and then we would have a full 90 minutes to try and turn the situation around instead of the current 20 minutes we are giving ourselves ?
The worrying thing with ange is he thinks kulusevski and Johnson are worthy of the shirt. Well in over 50years of watching spurs these 2 are fuckin shit and no wonder any other club was interested in Johnson. We overpaid about 40 million quid. Well done mr levy

It has been as clear as day that the playing the ball sideways, backwards, slow build up, triangular passing that every team now seems to play just doesn't suit them yet he has stuck with it. Clear as day that Vicario for weeks has needed protection on corners. Clear as day that Son can not play the number 9 role. Clear as day that Royal is not suitable for a left back role. VDV can play LB and it's been the perfect opportunity to try that and start Dragusin for the rest of the season, also Skipp even did a much better job when he came on.
Pretty much any competent footballer in the team will do a better job.
Ange hardly talks about defence. You can see as clear as day we are so exposed at the back, players not been picked up etc... why does he not see it? Again and again and again, game after game you just see the first goal coming for the opposition. I am not sure Ange is up to it.

I have been saying this ange might be set in his ways at times but the real reason we can't win games is poor quality players especially up front, they are predictable, lackluster, if not for sons quality finishing we are absolutely toothless in attack.

We were more like ourselves today? Yes we were. We were 4-0 down before we started playing! 4 points from a possible 24 in our last 8 starts. Thats relegation form. We gonna blame that on suspensions and injuries? Why are we playing Royal at left back when we have a centre half who needs game time and can't be any worse. I get our high line is a problem in defence but why do do we defend so narrow leaving acres of space either side of the 18 yard box or even worse. 6 players against 3, all ball watching and not picking up. Like watching under 12 football at times. Pathetic. Everyone in the team has switched off compared to early on. No hunger, no desire, slow turgid build up. Its like deja vu!

Getting 2 goals back isn't something to work with. I fully back big Ange but not these bottle job players. Keep Son, Vicario, Romero, VDV, Udogie, Porro, and Richarlison off the bench. The rest can go.

Staying true with the club and squads trajectory. I don't want us to dump another manager and restart again, same torches and pitchforks will just come out again next season. We need stability which is what we ware moving towards, it's just a really tough process to watch unfold at the moment. Proof will be in the pudding with the moves and changes we make on and off the field next year.

Agreed. Emerson KILLED them today. As soon as he went off things turned and we looked really good. Richy easily could’ve had another goal. People need to remember what expectations were when Kane left. Bookmakers had us finishing between 10th and 8th. We’re 5th despite having one of the youngest teams in the league and having suffered the leagues second worst injury crisis. This has also been about as difficult a week as can be scheduled with Arsenal, at Chelsea, and then at Liverpool. That’d be difficult for any squad and even more so for one as young as ours. Paratici and Ange’s recruitment has been sensational. I have absolute confidence in Ange.

I cant blame Emerson mate, Udogie, Lee Young Pyo nor Tarrico couldn't have helped us win that game. We lack creativity. I dont think its just down to an off form Maddision (no point dropping him), its down to the players around Maddison.

Spurs looked bright and focused in the opening exchanges... then Emerson allowed Salah a free header, at the back post. We managed to stay in the game until just before halftime, when Emerson failed (as usual) to close down his man, Alexander-Arnold, who whips in a delightful cross for their 2nd goal. But wait, it gets better: Five minutes into the 2nd half Royal hesitates (as he often does) on the ball just outside the box... Elliott steals the ball and whips in a perfect cross for their 3rd. GAME OVER. But Emerson Royal is not done! -- just nine minutes later he rises in the air, to head the ball away from the area. Unfortunately his blind clearance lands perfectly at the feet of Mo Salah who, in turn, passes the ball to Elliott with plenty of time & space to curl a stunning strike into the top corner... keeper has NO CHANCE.
Surely Emerson Royal is finished at Tottenham? Today at Anfield he was a one-man wrecking crew. Please Ange I beg you: to start Oliver Skipp at Left Back, for the remaining three games. And give Romero perfect freedom to do with the failed defender... as he sees fit. COYS!!!

Kulusevski always gets in a good position but never crosses the ball, he is so frustrating to watch, I'd let him go along with Werner and Richarlison. A new front three needed along with a new keeper and midfielder.

I’m convinced he’s stubborn and deluded after this press conference. The reporter asked valid questions on the mentality of the team.
This was not a game where Liverpool just took their chances and we didn’t they were better in every department and took their foot of the gas and we got a couple back when the game was lost. Man is deluded.
