Phillips looked composed, as big as Dragusin and very skilful.

I was there with my daughter and it was a FANtastic night with 78,500 supporters of both our beloved Spurs and Newcastle all behaving beautifully and mingling together. It was Great having the opportunity to go and see Spurs in our new home here in Australia and after following Spurs home and away for decades since starting my adventures with the club in 1964. COYS!
Our young kids are so talented. They should be playing. This was a great chance to see them in action.

His name is Richarlison. Goals per minute played is the most important stat for strikers, wake up!
Maddison looked dangerous in a pointless match. He was in god-mode for the first 1/3 of the season, then he disappeared after he came back from the injury. This is exactly how Leicester fans described him when we got him, which is worrying.

@@cvg1198 I think we're at risk of underestimating how much the injury set him back. He's been building for a few matches now. Just a pity the season's over (from his perspective)

Been impressed with Hall whenever I have seen him. A lot of talent coming through but we need to manage expectations, they need time to develop, some need to go out on loan to get some regular first team football
Went last night, should have had 2 penalties was great to finally see the team in person I've been supporting for over a decade from Australia. Tyrese Hall was very good and so was Kulu!

I think Spurs fans enjoyed that far more than Newcastle fans, we dominated. But their goal has to be dealt with in the close season, happens time and again. Agree Tyrese Hall was the best (same age as Mainoo....).
I know I can’t criticise Ange bc I am a Spurs fan. Just hoping he is willing to learn, otherwise we are loosing our time.

Really? I thought Dragusin was clearly playing the key full back role with Phillips supporting, and they both looked composed. They looked very comfortable playing alongside each other. Agree it would not be easy to split who was better which is a good sign for the squad development.
@@collectivesartori Yes, they were both good. However, Phillips just looks natural and unflustered whenever he receives the ball. I will admit though that when Dragusin was the senior guy at the back he seemed to settle better and be better on the ball. Less nervous. Maybe that's the issue and as confidence grows he will get better and better.
Younsters did really well. A match that had no meaning and shiukd not have been played. But as usual levy saw the oppertunity to make a few quid. Player welfare my ass. Gil was awful as usual,ship the lightweight out asap

There was a bit of atmosphere in some areas, but with the size of the MCG and distance from the pitch it felt a bit empty lol
