    Dude as an Arsenal fan who is married to a beautiful Spurs fan, it is what it is. I love the rivalry and the banter, but when a fanbase becomes toxic it becomes a cesspool of negativity. I respect Spurs fans and I honestly want you guys to do well. My wife's reaction to this whole situation speaks volumes because she is pissed. If we lose the league, there is always next season. Life goes on. Just my 2 cents as an Arsenal fan and just a fan of football. All the best!

      trouble is Levy...I am astounded that having lost Kane, which tbh was on the books for the last 2-3 years and still levy did not have some one targeted. We find ourselves with B Johnson...???? Presently we are playing football that does not suit any of the forwards (Richarlison, Son etc) we currently have. We make them look less than ordinary, chasing pointless balls / 30 yards back passes (not existing in European football competitions) to the point that we are questioning them. Our game LACKS ' urgency & intent ' . We seem to prefer ' possession & turgid pace '...

    Ange Postecoglou has outperformed Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta in his first 35 Premier League games as a manager. However, the real issue hindering Tottenham Hotspur's progress lies with their toxic and immature fanbase. These fans are quick to criticize and undermine their own managers and players, creating an environment of instability and negativity. Renowned managers like Mourinho and Conte have openly blamed the negative atmosphere created by Tottenham fans for their lack of fondness for the club. This behavior not only impacts the morale of players but also deters top talent from joining the club. The fans' attitude and immaturity pose a significant obstacle that must be rectified if Tottenham Hotspur wants to succeed. It's time for the fans to take a hard look at themselves, reflect on their impact, and transform into a supportive and mature force. Without this change, Tottenham's trophyless and unsuccessful history will continue.

    I can’t see Ange agreeing to let Van de ven go, he’s trying to build a squad that fits his system, some things are more important than the hard cash.
    I’m a Celtic supporter and I’m torn, I don’t want Kyogo to leave BUT I don’t think he fits Rogers system, he’d absolutely light up the premiership! he’d fit into that Tottenham team like a glove, the perfect replacement for Richarldson. Not just a great striker but intelligent, extremely hard working and very humble, plus he knows Ange’s system inside out! He’s the closest thing to Larson we’ve had at Celtic.
    Think once he’s tweaked the team and strengthened the bench things will start to click.

    @rhysjaggar4677 Před 29 dny +4

    BBC is also reporting that 'Gallagher to Newcastle is off', removing them from the equation. My take on Gallagher is that it depends who's leaving for him to come in. My view on the signing depends on the answer to that - he needs to be an upgrade on whoever is leaving, or an equal but adding another 'home grown' to the list.
    Van de Van and Dragusin stories are 'silly season' stuff, I think. I certainly wouldn't want less than £200m for Van de Ven based on what we saw this season. And Dragusin will be playing regularly before Christmas next season because there is going to be some sort of European football guaranteed. From what I saw against City, he would be a good captain of a midweek side, giving him responsibility as some youngsters get minutes too. The story probably has a bit of 'Conte sniping at Daniel Levy' about it too, to be honest. If Dragusin were to leave though, the club is back to where it was last September in terms of Centre Backs. I would have thought another one should be coming through the door, not two being sold?
    £40m for Gimenez is a price that Levy will have no problems paying. Ian Ladyman saying on the BBC that 'Tottenham could certainly have a use for Marcus Rashford', with him saying that Rashford needs a new start, somewhere, even if its on lower wages. Rashford has the talent to be an amazing signing, but also the downside risk of being 'up and down', 'not at it every week' etc etc. But if Ange wanted him, the price/salary was right, Rashford got his head clear, you can see why Ladyman is saying what he said. Quick, got a great shot on him, good dribbler and an eye for goal.
    I saw yesterday's show, Sean, as like the sort of mouthing off that often happens at big clubs when a 'clear the air' session is required. Actually completely free of industrial language, which you'd certainly hear in a dressing room dust up. To me, there were people on many positions all wanting to be heard, understood, validated. Maybe not enough yummy mummies putting their arms round the protagonists? You'll see far, far worse in the Labour Party, the conservative Party, the Democrats + Republicans in the USA etc.
    With Savva, you need to be Presidential about limiting his time, though. My first year at Cambridge, an over-time Union society speaker said: 'And my I say, Mr President...' to which the President rang his bell, said firmly 'NO you may not!' and called the next speaker. Everyone was in stitches and I learned a great deal about amusing yet constructive management that evening in 1983.....

    Hope you feel better soon Sean! Micky VDV is vital for Ange's system. Like Carrick was for Jol and it was noticeable when Carrick left. Any offer should be rejected at all cost as it will be a big step backwards when we are trying to move forwards as a club. Yes the hotel situation with Chelsea is interesting and may have future implication for Spurs, however the league/body may just say that clubs are not allowed to sell to any business associated/or part of the club ownership. You are a good bloke Sean no need to get involved with stuff going on in the background. Life is short especially when it comes to health.

    Love these chats, Sean. I think you're the most balanced and insightful Spurs creators out there. So many different views from so many different sides. And everyone has some validity to their views. But the hypocricy from Johnny and Savva, and their reluctance to listen to others, the disdain they show other people, is in danger of damaging your own content.

    Sean, love your podcast hence why I became paid subscriber. You're very intelegent and you gather the whole story/picture then digest it properly prior to roling it out on an upload and then some again. You have a beutiful honest way to look at every possible angle and you present one of the most sensible podcasts amongst many. Your one of my favourites with a few others along side you. I was following your live stream yesterday though sadley I could not take muchmore of what I was hearing and I had to leave. I posted this in the chat.It's all that I will say. I'm doing another Ange with the cryptic clues just like his post match after the City game. But what I will let on is that it was nothing to do with yourself. Again you're an intelegent man and I'm sure you would have figured this one out already.

Time for everyone now to move on I think. PS. losing VDV wud be a disaster for the team - another 'carrick moment' under levy. While losing Dragusin would be downright embarrassing after all the fuss we made about him coming to us instead of Bayern.

    Love all the financial stuff you speak about. Really interesting about the hotel issue at Chelsea and THFC. I see this as two distinct financial ploys. 1. Chelsea already have the hotel. Assume revenues derived go into the FC. Infrastructure already in place. Spurs. Brand new infrastructure and revenue generated will be based on matches and other events at the stadium. So logically it is a different financial proposal.
    On your show last night. Loved the creative tension amongst you all.
    I’m with you about wanting to win. Hate the Gooners but we should have taken two or three points off them a couple of weeks ago.
    The chat about Ange and not bothering about 4th. Out of context. He believes 4 th is not the goal but the title is. If you aim 4th you will often fall short. Aim for title and CL places take care of themselves.

    There’s a naivety that some people bring when critiquing Ange (definitely not you, I think you’re fair and reasonable when criticising). It’s the Dunning -Krueger effect in full force.
    This will sound harsh (I don’t mean it to, I genuinely believe it), but they can’t comprehend how things work because they don’t know. They lack the smarts to be able to see how this would work because they’ve never seen it and can’t envision how it could work out.
    It’s hard to come at someone and say that because it sounds like you’re saying: ‘You’re too dumb to understand’ but in essence, that’s the crux of it.
    They will never understand because they can’t (just yet).
    And people hold on to their beliefs so tightly, if something challenges those beliefs it’s quite normal to project and get offended, because it can seem like a personal attack.
    Anyhoo it is what it is, thanks for doing the Lord’s work with the hardest-working ball chaser in the league. Slayyy Bugsy 💅 (even though her barking set my puppy off this morning 🤣)

    If they get an offer for Micky it will be the dumbest thing not to accept the offer. If his agent tell him Man City want him he will force a move or downplay for his value to go down to get a move. There are levels to this yea its going to suck for him to leave but we don't win anything for him to stay. Imo

  • @DF-ih5wl
    @DF-ih5wl Před 27 dny

    So I watched a Feyenoord vs Twente on yt to see Gimenez, I don't see anything from the striker in that match. 40m is too risky because it's huge step for him to play in PL. Vertonghen, Toby, and Eriksen are all experienced players for club and country before they moved to PL. Gimenez is more like Bergwin or Janssen.

  • @josiahrogers6961

    From an accounting standpoint owning a hotel generates revenue. Subletting creates a revenues payable for every revenue receivable. Meaning while levy might hold a note on projects the revenue created is profit after credits (call it 60%). Revenue receivable is another credit account. The debit is still cash or some form of SHE but to operate on a credit is to operate on debt. It was a gamble that allowed their books to look good until the end of the fiscal year. Levy should leave the hotels as a team asset and sell the licensing rights to a few buildings so that the rents received can not be questioned.
