Imagine this hypothetical scenario. The 2025/26 season goes down to the final day. After 37 games, Manchester City are top with 84 points, Arsenal are 2nd with 83points, and Tottenham 3rd with 82 points. In the last game of the season, Tottenham host Manchester City, knowing their only chance of winning their first Premier League title is beating them at the Tottenham Staduim, however by doing that they know that an Arsenal win would then hand them the title as will a draw due to their superior goal difference to Manchester City. Arsenal would also have a superior goal difference to Spurs in this hypothetical scenario. Arsenal only had to win their last game at home to Newcastle, a potentially tricky game but one you would expect them to win 8 times out of 10 at the Emirates. What would Tottenham fans want in that situation? Knowing that by them winning it would be their only chance of winning their first premiership, but only if Arsenal lost at home to Newcastle. Would they rather just hand the title to Man City knowing that it would stop Arsenal winning the league even if it also meant that Spurs wouldnt?
At least we know that our fanbase won't lose their mind like what usually happens after a loss if we lost this time around. If you really "want" us to lose intentionally not just in jest then well then should take up Ange's advice.

I think the culture Ange is trying to drive is more important and hinges on wanting to win all the time. So maybe people need to ask themselves, would you give Arsenal the win this year if it meant you win one in a couple of years, knowing wanting a loss tomorrow will sacrifice the culture Spurs need to eventually lift a trophy? There's no guarantees I know, but I think wanting a loss is just gonna prolong mediocrity.
