Typical Alice hypocritical behavior
Every episode I'm more convinced that most of the adults of past-Riverdale are part of some conspiracy. Like, the teens are supposed to move things forward, make them better (as Tabitha said in ep 1), and the authority figures somehow exist to force things back to "how they're supposed to be." Think Stepford Wives, with the shrink as the mastermind (considering he doesn't have a modern equivalent, he just sticks out).
I see that but it makes me think all the stories are written by a teenager where the kids are good and the adults are evil. Like jughead. The murder of mr honey was supposed to suggest that; the way they see the adults isn’t really literal or accurate.
The shrink was at Stonewall in the modern day but he died! As did the Principal and Evelyn. Weird how all these dead people are back but Jason and Polly are gone.
I honestly can’t believe that Tom Keller worked with Julian behind Kevin’s back. Absolutely unbelievable.
The man who plays "The Milkman" at the end, was in Sabrina, twice. It was like a child-eater-ice cream man or something

Actually… the school kinda COULD get Jughead in trouble. This is pretty close to the time of the comics code authority’s use. It prohibited the use of violence, homosexuality (or sec of any kind) gore etc. in comics. Schools would commonly use this to enforce rules like this. Kinda funny since Archie started as Comics (including horror)

Who else wanted to slap Kevins dad for this episode, not punch but slap with an open hand. At least uncle Frank wasn’t a complete a hole this episode still was not in the right but (it is the 50s after all) still better then most of the parents (about the Betty stuff not the Kevin stuff). Archie in one of the comics died by jumping in front of a bullet to save Kevin, so him standing up and trying to be a friend to Kevin makes sense.
I have a few things to say 1. Woooooo Gay Rights 🏳️🌈 2. I miss the real sherif Keller 3. I think Archie is the cutest and the sweetest thing I’ve seen 4. I love the way Betty acted when she heard about Kevin 5. I’m excited to see more about Clay and Veronica 6. I feel so bad for Kevin it’s reminds me of me awww ❤
I like how both Betty and Archie were there for Kevin in this episode. They both had the most genuine concern for the safety and well-being of their friend.

If you watch this thinking people in general are even aware of homosexuality, it’s hard not to judge these characters, but most of them have literally never even considered it exists. Sheriff Keller could still come around if he hears about it through sympathetic channels and processes it. Archie absolutely did not know it was a thing too which is why he made that comment about “straightening Kevin out”. Once he really understood, he changed his tune because he truly cares about him. But you have to assume 90% of these characters in the 50’s did not know about homosexuality.

@@jackellick1872 but they made Frank a sympathetic character when he first showed up in the series and then ruined him from then on, so I’m not getting my hopes up. I could only hope the writers realize that Kevin having literally nobody in his family to accept him is much worse than Archie having a jerk uncle but a nice mom and a wonderful dad. If sheriff Keller doesn’t come around, then it will be too bleak for Kevin. Let’s all pray together they make the right choice 🙏
