In Planet Zoo you are the Zoo Manager. Create underwater Viewing Galleries, develop intricate Chimpanzee climbing frames or house a majestic Bengal Tiger. You also need to make sure your animals stay healthy, have a comfy shelter and are not too annoyed by your guests. Speaking of which, you will need restaurants and other facilities to keep them happy too.
If you succeed, you will be granted access to the most impressive animals of this planet, such as the Giant Panda, a fluffly small red panda, the scary Komodo dragon or the bulky Hippo.
You can also build several habitats, Domes, safari rides or walk-in habitats that provide the best view onto your animals.

The white lions are actually leucistic, not albino. If a white animal has blue eyes or have black markings it means they're leucistic.
i had no idea! thank you!
Yep!
Quite sad that Frontier is perpetuating that old myth.
A true albino lacks all pigment across it's body. This includes fur, eyes, skin, nose, claws, etc. It is possible for a true albino to have blue eyes but they'd be a very light, faint blue. Not bright and vibrant.
Leucistic animals will lack some pigment which can create white splotches on the body or faded markings. The best example of a leucistic animal is the white tiger as well as ghost tigers.
Leucism is what gives you the bright, blue or normal coloured eyes, normal coloured nose, claws, and potentially skin and markings while the rest is white or faded.
Leucism can also cause cross eye meaning that the optic nerve of the animal is wired to the wrong side of the brain. Causing the animal to not have very good depth perception if any at all.
It really annoys me when people get them mixed up
That’s a useful fact to know!
Your right I’m a animal 🦒 nerd but albino have red eyes or different body marks
Dont make the mistake I made....leaving warthogs alone for a while,i had 263 when I came back
how does that even happen
that kept that aspect of zoo tycoon 2 cause warthogs in that game I've had reached a population 300. thankfully I haven't had that with warthogs in planet zoo.
I tried with lemurs I think I might have got 350??
I had 230 Jaguars within half an hour while doing a bit of laundry😂🤣
This keeps happening with me and peacocks... I regret getting them every time
I was really expecting some kind of way to read the genealogy of the animals, specifically the kind of unique and individual numbers that all animals have in their genealogy from the big update. But instead no, hahah Rudi took the concept of puppy mills, disabled the suffering part and presented it here at planet zoo. Good one 👏🏻
yeah, because thats faster i gues...
Me either hahaha. I was like, yes! Finally i get to know how it works... But nope.
I can't tell if there mad at him or not
So there's really nothing else to this ... thanks, not gonna watch the whole video then. I knew I would dislike this when he said to use cheats or the market. Really no video needed to explain the obvious ... I was also hoping to look out for a certain genetic code or something.
This just make me wish the trade center was shared across sandbox zoos
yeah :-/
Yeah, I lost so many albino animals because my Zoos broke or were too ugly for me to look at them
it would be nice if we had it for challenge and sandbox as it is but also a option lets say is called "trade with other zoos"?? something like that in market as a second option to look for animals that is the global trade center that way you can get whatever animal you want OR look at other zoos in a different trade center if you want one from someone else zoo so you dont have to settle so much like in franchise. maybe someday!
Yeah but for you to pay on the other worlds so it’s not just greet
Color mutations should be a toggable option in Sandbox. Or at least you should be able to get them in the animal trade centers.
I sort of did this for the warthog challenge. I found that if one parent was albino and the other atleast had a parent that was, there was always atleast one albino. Got some darn good warthogs out of that too.
oh thats interesting! yeah, for franchise its good one making it. But in sandbox....arghh
Wait, the whatty-what?
Yes because in that's how albinism works in real life, albino is basically genetic issue and to trigger that an animal need to have 2 copies (homozygous gene) of albinism (1 from each parent) then if an albino (with two copies of the gene) breed to another animal all of their offspring will be heterozygous for the albino gene (1 copy of the gene) and if you breed them to another animal that also have the gene 25% of the time it will produce the homozygous (the visual albino)
There is definitely a albino gorilla I have seen one in the franchise trade centre. Also very helpful video
you are welcome!
Yes there is! i've got one in my franchise zoo!
Sure it could have been an elder
@@iirrssjjee if i got 2 albino parents with all stats 100 is it possible to get a albino baby with all stats 100?
@@coolstorybro8571 yes, I have done it
I managed to get a black panther. I put 20 all in one huge habitat and left it for 3 hours. Came back and had one!! Was absolutely thrilled!
thats how you do it ;)
That works too in sandbox?
Yes it does work in sandbox
Andrew Payne so what just put a lot of them into one habitat and then let them do it? But will they not be angry about having to many animals in the habitat ? :/
@@jessisfabulousworld2108 it is sandbox mode you can change the settings and they would not be argrey
guess I will just wait for the glorious day planet zoo makes it an actual in game mechanic to put down albino animals in sandbox XDDD
BonBenix3 I wrote them, maybe it’s more likely to happen if a lot of people write them 🙈
Or a cheat where you can name them something and make them albino or melanistic, like the cheat that makes your animals fat / fluffy
@@sockthesockpuppet wait whats the cheats for that
@@Juju-qi9jz It doesn't exist, I was only suggesting it
@@sockthesockpuppet no whats the cheat where you can make them fat ir fluffy
I had an female albino indian peafowl. They were so cute, I was so excited bc she was having babies and they were albino too.
I found two albino Indian peafowl and now I just get a whole bunch of albina peafowl and it is amazing! I also got my first albino or leucistic (idk which one) grizzly bear!
A panther isn't an albino though
it's Melanistic
Which I say lets say ...10 times in the video? Even though I think I mispronounced it 11 times :D
Well arent u just the cutest braineac....
Today I tried to get the black panther and it worked out! Just under 2 hours I got two beautiful lady black panthers, with some pretty good stats too. But meeeeeeen the hardest job I still have to do now is get rid of all those other Jaguars I don’t want.... Hundreds and hundreds of jaguars who aren’t old enough jet to release/sell or whatever. I think it was my first and last time in to the breeding program 🤣
haha its annoying after a time, right?
Rudi Rennkamel it’s the hell! Especially because you can’t select them all in once and you have to wait till they’re old enough...
If the animal has blue eyes and bright fur, i believe they are called leucistic, if it has red eyes and bright fur its albino.
I believe there are very few albinos in the game and more leucistic. But i like the blue eyes more anyway so i like this!
Jumping in to say that albinism can cause blue eyes as well for some animals (such as humans)! Leucism is only a partial loss of pigment; in most mammals this leaves paw pads (or hooves), eyelids, noses, and lips with melanin. An example would be a white lion whose nose and eyelids are still black. Leucistic eye color is still often its natural shade, rarely blue. If you've seen a white tiger, it's leucistic.
Albinism, on the other hand, is a complete lack of melanin; this will entirely white-out the animal, turning all of its flesh pink. Albinism tends to cause red eyes due to blood vessels showing through unpigmented irises, but in some species (humans for example) blue is a more default pigmentation. There aren't really any solid examples of this, but if an albino tiger ever *did* exist, it would have no stripes and look solidly white.
So all in all, leucism won't necessarily turn an eye blue (nor will it always affect the entire coat of an animal), it'll just color melanin partially white. Albinism colors melanin full white, and applies to other pigments as well. Brightness and eye color still vary depending on species and individual animal, regardless of mutation. :D
wow thanks! great info!
I was thinking the same thing - those lions are leucistic, not albino.
Albinism is where the fur/skin etc. is a lighter tone or white due to loss of pigment, essentially. This is similar to leucisity (if that’s a word?) except that albinos have red eyes unless another genetic mutation makes them purple, as a general rule.
Brilliant video as always. Played for a few hours and just opened my first franchise zoo, my 3rd animal to put in my zoo were Jaguars from the market using money, they were normal coloured male and female the inevitable happened and they bred after a short while producing a black Jaguar :) didn’t realise they were uncommon so very happy.
Wow this comes in handy! I was just asking about this in your stream yesterday, thankyou for making the video. It's really helpfull🥰
you are welcome!
This is good but what bothers me is that all the other animals die of old age the moment you'll turn death of old age on again. I had like 40+ instant deaths last time I did this :'(
yeah you need to go for babies then and put them into trade center to stop ageing
@@RudiRennkamel Oh, thanks, I'm gonna try that :)
I had an albino giraffe and an albino american bison... Right out of the trade center. Black jaguars are very common in the trade center for me. But I only play in sandbox mode.
Hey I was wondering what you think the next dlc will be. Love the vids
Anyway I don't get why its so difficult to have albinos in sandbox mode ... its just stupid for the developers create a sandbox where you can't do what you want!
Ooooh! I will be getting a gamer pc soon and been wanting to play this game every since it came out. This one of things I wanted to do
Ty this helped for my zoo :)
This is a great video because we can now get the cool animals we want and the animals have some fun 😉
:P good tapirs are my favorite
I've been breeding giant pandas for a while now and I bought a ton of male albino pandas because there was no female ones after like 2 weeks I still had no luck but then today I got one little baby panda albino and I had like a huge freak out and I was rolling on the floor and my dog was concerned
I wish we could trade animals between zoos in sandbox mode. I have 1 albino lemur in my first terrible zoo I built and wish I could move it to my current zoo rather then leaving in a zoo I want to delete.
yeah same here. they must change it
i have a question, in my sandbox zoo , when i go to animal trade im only offered 4 animals 2 girls and 2 boys when selecting new animals of any type . how did you get that whole list or am i doing something wrong ?
once i found an albino aardvark in the sandbox market, i didnt know that could happen
Im getting planet zoo on Wednesday maybe im gonna get my first animal to be a albino peacock and a normal one I CANT WAITTTTT
Thanks to you now I literally built an albino tigers empire and now I'm rich ahaha 😂
Do you think there are albino caribou in the game? I havent seen any at all but ive heard of them irl
I've been after white lions in sandbox for ages, this seems like quite an extreme method to get white/leucistic animals.
why doesnt frontier add it as a colour variation? especially when in sandbox options are meant to be limitless
I did this with the Red Panda for 6 hours. I guess the don't have an albino😓😪
Damn hahahahaha. I feel the pain
Question, you can breed albino animals in challange mode? So far I bought some but I had no decendents with that color change.
Dude did you really need 18.34 minutes to say: Get a breeding ground and let animals breed until you randomly happen to get an albino?
No - I don´t. But trust me, many people need that - they want to see every step. Thats how it works. You seem to have already known that, so its not a video for you anyways :)
@@RudiRennkamel Hello! I need your help! So there was an ALBINO Barids Tapir I didnt have enough :( so I was wondering! can you make a video about how try to make an albino or breed for an albino? Have A Good Day! :D {PS. This Was The ONLY Helpful Video That Explained It Well!} :D
Was tut man wenn es brüllend heiss ist draussen? Man züchtet schwarze Panther. Klappt hervorragend nach Deinem System in Sandbox. Es ist jammerschade das die hunderte von Jaguare die ich freigelassen habe nur virtuell sind. Mit den Löwen hat es leider nicht geklappt.
Rudi, I need your help for how to breed the color variant morphs/albinos of these animals in sandbox mode, I trying to get all three are green with 0% Immunity
When you think you're gonna get an albino but end up not being able to-
There needs to be an option to rehome any animal in sandbox mode
Do you think Frontier will add melanistic animals to the game sometime in the future, now that we can breed black jaguars?
have you seen the thumb? they are ingame already!
Rudi Rennkamel Yeah I see that but I meant for animals apart from the jaguar? Like melanistic tigers, zebras etc.
"In Sandbox the Stats dosn't even matter anyways" Dont let the Koali-Crew hear that! :D
Well Tapirs however are a different story
Thanks for this well want white tigers and lions in my sandbox zoos
yeah it takes ages doh
@@RudiRennkamel yea defo takes ages in sandbox! Set up an area away from my zoo to breed jaguar's and left them to it whilst pottering on with my zoo and after 3 hours still no black jags haha, hopefully tomorrow I will get a black jaguar :)
Me: how should i name my lioness?
Rudy: CTRL C
can somone give me tips on how to make albinos there is this one animal that i want albino but i wasent able to buy it it was the tapir :(
How do you select more than one in the animal storage ?
I doubt it is in game, but surely inbreeding would have a higher chance of imperfe tions, like albanism. Maybe worth a test?
Well I have no comparison because I let them inbreed anyways
Inbreeding will lower the fertility and other health rates
@@LilSinger097 in sandbox that's not a big deal though
I had four pens of Springbok and I let them breed, I worked on an enclosure in the background this took about three hours, but I did pause it sometimes as well so two and a half hours, I came back the other day and while I was working I let the game run, so probably six hours, but again I did pause it a bit, because the frame rate dropped a lot because I had, 835 springbok, no albino:(
Sos i'm late
it takes ages yeah :-/
Springbok breed like bunnies in this game
so i was breeding ALOT nile monitors right? So i got 125 and i checked if theres any albinos and BANG 2 ALBINOS ONE WAS FEMALE AND THE 2ND WAS MALE its worth alot to just wait
Some animals take longer than others, ive had grizzly bears, nile moniters, jaguars, gemabok, pronghorn, bison and crocs but i accidentaly deleted my save im absolute gutted 🤦♂️, so much time wasted a few weeks ago, and now ive started again trying to get aardvarks but ive had no luck after about 5 hours but i got grizzly bears and jaguars with in a few hours 👍
I found a albino African buffalo in sandbox, 17 years still one baby and it ain’t white, will the genes be passed? I’m worried they are 27 years old and yearly vet checks. Nervous for the day
When I go into the market and choose west African lion, it only shows 4
I have a question, is it possible to still have animal babies in the sandbox modu? Cause my animals are really fine and heathly but no babies so far!
Might be difficult depending on species/fertility gene
Is there a way to get an albino without having to bring it through franchise?
This is going to be stupid and obvious I'm guessing, but how do you get the more than 2 females and 2 males in the trade center? I can't figure out how to get those long lists
you can´t in sandbox - you have to start with those 4 - and then let them breed
@@RudiRennkamel Ah, makes sense. Thank you very much!
Is it in sandnox mode aswell ?
I got a albino tiger in sandbox from the market is that rare?
I tried was trying for 2 days had hundreds and hundreds but no black 😟 gave up in the end and released them all it was madness and I felt bad
post malone wow
very helpfull. u get them if u buy them. ok
I’ve got an albino eastern brown snake and an albino green iguana and it says that they do not have a current mate despite having a fertile female in their same exhibit. Any pointers?
it’s just because they haven’t mated yet. i have 2 albino peafowls and neither of them have had albino babies, so they might not even have albino babies :)
just realized this was 9 months ago lol
U have to be pretty lucky to snatch the black jaguar U don't see that many in the markets
I've waited for 3 hours and did everything in the video and I still haven't got any white tigers.
it takes ages....
@@RudiRennkamel trying for spotless cheetah and yeah... ill wait
Hi how did you get unlimited money in franchise mode
Just so you know there are albino lowland gorillas in planet zoo
I don't have albiao Lions in my market
Tryna get an albino salt water crocodile
What is the best way to get rid of all the excess animals after the breeding process?
put the ones you want to keep into trade center and let the rest die.
But make sure to give them contraceptives before
@@RudiRennkamel Don’t let PETA find this thread/video. 🤞😬
I left for a while and I had almost 1000 aardvarks
I found an albino lowland gorilla female from the market! She has very low fertility though.....still trying!
A question. When you had the black jaguar how did you get black babies from it again? was that inbred with your own children or with an adorable male?
i tried to inbreed, but I didn´t get a second
You know what’s weird? I’m on sandbox and there was an albino giraffe on the market, is this a new update?
this is since Australia DLC!
@@RudiRennkamel wait really? Huh, lol. I just got the Australia pack yesterday, thank you!
I dont think theres albino mandrills in game as of right now
What sand box caarrl?
Can you get them in the sandbox version
Yes, you definitely can
Please be warned, I got up from my pc for like less than an hour and came back and had 1172 peafowls, and not a single one was albino
my pc was absolutely on fire
🤣👍
Is there any way to even know which animals have an albino version? I feel like I wasted a lot of time on animals that maybe don't even have an albino version.
i´d try googling for images. If someone had one, you´ll find it. If not, I would worry haha
@@RudiRennkamel I just looked up albino animals that people had and I guess I just didn't wait long enough for my white flamingos
This didn’t work for me I didn’t have the same settings
dont make the mistake whit ringtailed lemurs i had 440 lemurs and had 111 dead animals
After having the game running the whole night full speed, I have 2700 jaguars... not a single black one..... Not. One...... D:
Never had a single rare fur variants in sandbox with around 260 hours played... got the worst luck it seems...
You can leave it running?
1000 Gharial
Only 1 turned out leucistic😓
Can you do a console version of this pls
it should work exactly the same!
@@RudiRennkamelis there a way to refresh the trade center so I can just keep refreshing till I get a color morph?
Am I just very unlucky or is my game broken? I tried it für about 10 hours and still have no Black Panther. I think after another 2 hours I won’t be able to do anything because I’m already at 2 fps.
Fürer
i just want albino cheetahs
Mega breeding
megaaa
But since you cant find any albinoes in Sandbox...how ta fuc
I don't understand how to install albino sandbox mods and I am really dissapointed because everyone is able to do it I don't know how it seems so easy but I don't understand. So I guess it's fake because no youtuber show how to download it completly...
Dose the grim reaper kill the un cared animals
Can you see him cuce his cind of funny
Did you now a soul don't needs grim reapers help to get aut of there boodys
where did you get this game
on steam!
it's Melanistik
How do you get this game?
its on steam
My albino animals all have their fertility on 0%. Is that normal?
Not really :/
@@RudiRennkamel apparently they still can have baby's but not very manny
I avoid Franchise Mode because of too much conservation value of some animal really 10k? This makes some new players struggle to buy some animals.. I think this is the only flaw Planet Zoo have imo.
kannst du das video auch auf deutsch machen ?
denke mal an deinem akzent kann man erkennen das du deutch bist :D
Kann ich sicherlich, aber der Versuch ist zwei Mal gescheitert und daher bleibts bei Englisch ;)

May have or may have not deleted the save file I hate my life
Can you do a video on inbreeding?
When does he actually start explaining how to get albinos? I’m at minute 9 and still nothing
So just breed and hope for the best? You couldn’t have mentioned that earlier?
