Today we are building a new realistic habitat for our Sea Lions. This one is inspired by many modern sea lion or seal tanks for example in the zoo in valencia or Berlin.

I feel like here i am able to fold my piece of paper into triangle. And then theres Rudi turning it into a dragon, and also it transforms into a gorilla and can talk. All i can do is use my paper triangle as a napkin to wipe the tears of my noob Planet Zoo building skills.

I'm very new to planet zoo and all my recommended videos are now planet zoo builds, and I clicked on this one and wow I am blown away at how insanely good this looks, the detail and time that went into is incredible!! Utterly speechless watching it come together, it was incredible! Can't wait to watch more of your stuff

when you started talking about preparing for concrete to get filled in i legit went "hold up, is that some mechanic i don't know about?" lol. i wish it was. it's impossible to get nice terrain walls without using something to hide the jagged terrain edges.
It's interesting seeing both the live stream and the condensed version...different takeaways from each. I don't often get to catch a live stream so that was a treat.

This was so detailed and immersive, I love how it was layered together to form the final habitat which looks very realistic. I watch these videos on my work breaks and it always makes me want to play and try new things in my zoos but I have to wait until the end of the day. 😅
Its so interesting to watch the planet zoo videos for sea lion habitats because i get to see them in oregon just chilling on docks and rocks lol. I tried recreating it in my game but failed so i came here for inspiration

After watching this I’m just blown away, it’s looking like the steam habitats I wanna build but haven’t been able to do, hopefully someday I can get just somewhere close to your ability to do such an amazing build because this was incredible!

Backstage should be real covered building, with separation pens etc., Mr. Ultra Realistic But main habitat turn out pretty nicely (thou barriers are to low at some places).
PS. I love the conclusion part.

Hello guys, just started the game, this build is mind blowing, how hard would this be to make it in the Franchise mode?
As a landscape architecture grad student who is pushing towards designing zoos, most of this realism is moderately correct. However, your explanations of the rocks is off. Artificial rocks are not hollow casks that go over mesh wiring.
Rebar and wiring are built to create the skeleton of the rock and then shotcrete is used to spray over the rebar skeleton. From there you have sculptors and painters detail the rocks to look like rocks. You would also install artificial rocks in the underwater portion of the tank for further realism, which I see is missing. I’d also remove that shade structure as it breaks the immersion you’re going for.

Is there a secret to doing large water habitats with an underwater viewing area? Because every single time i get the "obstructed" message when i try to fill it up. I wish the game would highltight where the so called obstruction was so i could bloody well fix it. Do you need to use actual windows in the viewing area, because ive just been using the glass habitat fence.
