I think (if you haven't already) you should compare all of the canines in the game and how they compare to each other.
To defend the snow leopard model, snow leopards in real life do have a bit chunkier bodies than the other bigs cats, and their skulls are rounder and they have a flatter nose, so I really think the base game cat issues make the snow leopard more realistic
I think we all know that the west african lion was going to be last. Its just so derpy looking
There should be a mod that makes the bigger animals such as these cats and bears to climb trees and structures more often.

i have never seen the Amur leopard restingo over the hanging stick! It´s a pitty that this animations are so difficult to see. I feel the same with the siamang and brachiation. I hope Frontier will implement it in other cats.
To me, the worst models are the lion and the snow leopard. The face of snow leopard is very different from the realanimal one.

Well, I am a little subjective about the kitties because Lynx are my all time favorite animals of all. So, well. I am glad to see it does that well on your list. I really love them so much. You should listen to Lynx growling at each other on youtube. You wont regret it.
I mostly agree with this list, except I think the cougar should be higher and the snow leopard should be lower. My ranking would be Caracal - Lynx - Clouded leopard - Cougar - Amur leopard - Jaguar - Siberian tiger - Bengal tiger - Snow leopard - Lion.

I would see the caracal, lynx and clouded leopard on the first 3 places.
The Jaguar comes on 4, lion on 5 (because the females and the cubs look great), cougar 6, cheetah 7 (because unfortunately the face looks a bit strange...having the king cheetah now makes it at least better than the leopard), amur leopard 8 (because the face still looks quite strange, compared to real leopards.....and the melanistic variant is missing), both tigers on 9 and 10 and the snow leopard as last (because neither the face nor the whole body look great or realistic at all).
We have melanistic Amur Leopard in game, just sayin.
It's so odd with the snow Leopard that I love it so much. I know it's off but for some odd reason it doesn't bother me

Frontier is pretty generous with giving us carnivores--maybe a bit too generous if it comes at the expense of birds and primates--but I'd still love to see the ocelot in the game. Frontier generally is better with small cats than big cats but they've gotten better at making animals in general over the course of the DLC.

The amur leopard is maybe the cartooniest of them all
The moment he said amur leopards face looked better than the Jaguar I had to leave a dislike. This man did not do his research at all. And I now have even greater depression than before

I love the tigers mine always swim and climb cherry blossom trees. Plus they are fertile babies so cute.😍
I love the cheetah in planet zoo. That's my favourite but it needs to be faster and more manoeuvrable
Can we also please talk about how they really butchered the cheetah babies. They basically just look like smaller versions of the adults. Cheetah kittens are so cute in real life, with that distinctive honey badger pattern on their bag. that cute design on the babies could have gotten them so much more popularety in the game.
i think they just look like older cheetah cubs, tho i would love to see them in their fluffier state. you´re not wrong though, at least their neck area stays fluffier for quite a long time. if going for an age where their whole back is covered in fluff, also their spots look dense and different usually
The male lion looks like a golden retriever, not a bad thing but for the realism this game is going for, it definitely needs some tlc 😂
Is it bad to say that if they add a Tundra biome pack, I hope they add the Canada Lynx, I saw it in a Wild Kratts episode and loved it when I was little

I'd the cheetah to 8, the snow leopard to 7, and cougar to 6, the rest are in a fine order.

@@RudiRennkamel I still put the Snow Leopard highest of all the base game cats, but the later cats have gone in a more realistic direction, which make the base game cat cartoonish nature stand out even more.
Personally, some of the animals being "Cartoony" never bothered me, it is a game after all, however I can understand why many have an issue with it. While I dont think the lion is terrible, it could use a remaster. My number one would be a tie between the Siberian Tiger and the Cougar. Both are cats I use a lot and I spent a lot of time watching them instead of building my zoos lol

Cheetah for me is almost perfect in game. Only think that for me is wrong whit cheetah is his speed. Its for me soo hurt that cheetah is lower than stupid moose and stupid ostrich.
