- Want to know what the fastest diving animal is in Planet Zoo? I've run an extreme deep water time trial to figure this out!
Join me in a deep water extreme sea adventure, with all diving animals now tested on their deep water diving skills. This is an extreme deep water event, with the tallest diving pool you can make in Planet Zoo.

About me: I'm Plastic Swans and I do a lot of wacky stuff with Planet Zoo, like racing the animals and time trials. I like to call this kind of thing wholesome chaos and that's what I try to do most of all on the channel. I also make one-off habitats and zoo's, although I tend to forget to finish any of the zoo's I start. I also made the Simple Habitat Series for Planet Zoo, a suite of easy habitats for every animal in the game.

@@PlasticSwans Lynx and cougars aren't big cat since they aren't part of the pathera group which includes tigers,lions,leopards,jaguars and snow leopards while cougars,cheetahs and lynx are part of the felidae group which is more closely related to ocelots,domestic cats,etc.

They technically hunt caiman and not crocs

I really feel like they should add more restrictive height limits to like, the big cats and bears (aside from polar bears) in my opinion it just looks odd to see them underwater more than a couple feet down
Agreed, but I fear the programming to make that happen would be too much of a burden on the game. At the moment, once an animal is activated in it's 'go to feeder' or 'escape from enclosure' mode, they will keep running/swimming indefinitely until they reach it!
Fun fact: sea lions can swim faster than dolphins.
I always assumed they were slower than they are!

That's because they need to be faster haha
Not really.
Most dolphin species are faster (Orcas can reach speeds of 56 km/h, common porpoises even 60 km/h, spinning dolphins can get even faster. See lions peak at around 35 km/h under water.
They do have superior agility though.
Delightful! Also learned about some animals diving that I did not know would dive in-game.

Oh, this was quite an interesting video! Pretty fun to watch. Was kinda rooting for the beavers at first, at least they tried- By the way I love your voice if saying that isn't weird, you're like a relaxing dog show announcer or something. Made me a bit sleepy, lmao. Again, good video!

1 - Californian Sea Lions is simply unbeteable...if we don't add any full ocean animal.
2 - The King Penguin is able to reach the first place, but not this time.
3 - I really think that the African Penguin is the fast penguin, but no.
4 - As I think, the Polar Bear is the fast terrestrial mammal.
5 - My respect to Beaver, but I expected more from they, but good job anyway.
Congrats to all of the competitors, except for the Formosa Black Bear and the Siberian Tiger, due to his disqualification.

Actually, clouded leopards are the smallest of the big cats!
No it's snow leopards. Clouded leopards aren't considered big cats. There are five big cats which are all called panthers and they are Tigers, Lions, Jaguars, Leopards and Snow Leopards (In order of size) and although clouded leopards are closely related to panthers, they aren't really there
U should do some Modded animal runs!
It's always been on my mind to do modded runs, but having to update everything when new DLC releases feels like too much of a pain!

Constantly working on them! Sometimes the animals aren't too compliant though so it can take a while!

I didn’t think the Black bears deep dived
They're supposed to. They dived fine in a race I ran a couple months back...I think the latest update has screwed with their behaviours a bit

I think so too, I guess I added too much 'land' in that race, it wasn't really a fair aquatic race
where is the updated video for the wetlands pack and the hippo
The hippo won't deep dive unfortunately. They walk on the bottom of the river/lake so wouldn't step off ledge for this trial
kinda sad addon but im hoping that the game changes the siberian tigers names to the Amur tiger since they're extinct in siberia now, so their name has changed irl; it makes the game a bit outdated
True, that's heartbreaking there's no tigers left in siberia though

How do you say breathe but yeah how do you say breathe and hold their breath for that long can you like answer that question or can someone answer it because like they could’ve drowned it I believe I’m not sure but yeah
Alas, Planet Zoo does not have a 'breathe underwater' mechanic. If it did, these challenge videos would not be possible. Certainly none of these animals could physically dive this deep - alongside breathing capability, the pressure would be immense that deep!
