Bear hunting in B 1 Ca [Bear Camp 2023]

I drove 8 hours to check out the B zone with my friend Wilmer Hernandez. He has hunted there many times, in deer and bear seasons. He showed me many pictures of bucks and bears he has seen as well as harvested so I was enticed to go during my week off for Thanksgiving break.
He offers a lot of advice in this video, useful for beginner bear hunters. I know I learned a lot. We didn't see any bears, although we saw many signs and were able to interpret them and conclude why we didn't see bears.
Definitely lots of deer around still, so this is a good place to deer hunt as well.

So I agree.
When I go hunting I have a plan in place .So on arrival I know what I want to do.
But while hunting I'm mostly just scouting around for the next hunt.
I enjoy being out in the woods more than killing an animal.
And every hunt becomes a success

Thank you so much!! After all that, I just saw that a bear came to my front door last night!! 😆 I knew there was one on my property last week (well I saw the poop last weekend), but he went into my trailer and got some chips out and some protein powder. But he only ate the chips. And I got him in camera.
I'm gonna post that short video tomorrow lol

Check yesterday only 957 bear have been harvested in the state.

Yes, it's very low this year. Usually it's a lot closer to the white although never reach it, at least not in the past 7 years that I know of
