Fair effort in trying to nail the Australian accent, it's not quite there but a respectable attempt coming from an Australian
@@callumcowan7047 Nah hers was a pretty stock Australian accent. More of a suburban inner-city Melbourne type of inflection at the end of words that the stereotypical bogan Australian one, but Steve's accent was somewhere in the middle of the two so it's a good reference.
As somefrom the sunny coast where steve is from, the strong rising inflection on the end is still going strong.
My husband is Australian, as is his family . Fair try at the accent. I still can’t master it 😂
Most of it is pretty good, it’s mostly the “oh” sound (as in “blow that low”) that Lloyd didn’t quite nail. Aussies tend to have a less open mouth when they enunciate that sound, I reckon if he got that right it would’ve been an even greater imitation. But it was still a very solid attempt regardless.
Not gonna lie, if those 'o's where less American-sounding, he could have nailed it

ERB now has this weird effect where I am underwhelmed by new battles but they slowly sink in and I really like and appreciate them. Especially with Carlin Pryor.

Same! Pretty much all of season 6 has been like that for me. As an example, Freddy vs Wolverine did absolutely nothing for me when I first saw it, and now it is one of my favorites.
I feel it's because they are going for lesser known figures but their craft has taken a massive leap forward in skill

@Aleginse What do you mean? I'm an American whose been living in Australia as a student for two months on top of a few weeks traveling around. People definitely have accents here. It isn't just one stereotypical accent like Steve Irwin had but everyone has had varying accents (with certain commonalities). I've talked to some of my friends about it and they say the stereotypical accent is more in the country or up north rather than in the big cities. It's just like the states or Britain where there are regional accents. Of course, accents are relative.

@@warpspeedchic6932 it's hard enough to speak in an affected accent or impression, but to sing in it is extremely difficult. One of the few folks I can think of off the top of my head would be Seth McFarlane. It's just not an easy thing to pull off. Lloyd did the best he could and I think that's enough.

I can't see this one happening...considering the tragic nature behind all/most of their deaths. Steve Irwins was sad and all but seeing how the ones you listed died due to drugs/suicide I dont think they'll go for it.

Gotta give Lloyd props for doing a decent take on Irwin’s accent. Americans already struggle with the Aussie accent and Steve had a really thick bogan-like accent.
I am going to assume you are an Ozzie and would like to know: is "bogan" basically just Australian for "redneck" or "white trash"? I'm told Frenzal Rhomb is called "Bogan Punk" so I wanted to make sure I was understanding things right.

3:33 If these guys hired some vocal coaches, they'd be capable of basically any accent within a year, two tops. They're incredibly skilled and talented. You can hear that Lloyd has already figured out the concept of bodymapping on his own when he talks about practicing Ozzie vowel sounds. If I were unreasonably wealthy, I'd pay for that shit myself. I could use one for myself, too...
