Getting Croix was an excellent decision, she's someone new, passionate, good-looking, talented, raps, and rocks dual pistols. The fact that Nice Peter played TR games and did extensive research on Indiana Jones speaks for his professionalism, great job!
I don't think he needed much research for Indiana Jones. Sounds like he's a fan of the films already. And I'm sure many would love to play good video games for their profession.

7:26 Fun Fact: Lazy town (The show where internet-favorites Robbie Rotton and Sporticus came from) was the first show to use Unreal Engine for it's backgrounds and cinematography while superimposing puppetry and acting. They did this because they found having a real time environment to be far easier to iterate on and update as needed for each shot, and just capture what's needed, as opposed to doing it in Maya or 3DS Max where they'd need to re-render the scenery for even the smallest change.

Using Unreal Engine to generate the backgrounds is an absolutely brilliant choice to emulate the style of the Tomb Raider games, and it's that little attention to detail that keeps me coming back for rewatches. Nobody would've given a second thought if they'd used some other software like normal, but they chose to go that little extra mile and it's why I love them so much.
I don't think they'll just use it for this though. It just makes sense. There's a reason companies like Disney uses it for everything they make.

@@madnessarcade7447 I'm sure Disney has a lot of their own software, but not for real-time stuff. Look at the credits of any Disney show like Mandalorian or Andor, you'll see it says Unreal Engine. It's used for their giant background screens, or what they call "The Volume".

Right to everything. When Master Chief vrs Leonidas came out. I was hooked with this. Side note that came to me after seeing this behind the scenes. Let's step back for a minute. From this great battle I just said to now. Video games references abound. ERB smashing the many aways of being great at what they do. Just bravo ERB. As for this battle no contest Lara Craft won. Yes I watched this battle several times. Still have to watch it again. Just so much to see and hear. A fan for life of this channel. Much respect from southwestern MN. Yes I'm still not a MN Vikings fan but I agree with how it was said it. Still stings though.

I always love seeing you guys come back with more, I swear you up your game every time. This battle was amazing, Croix killed it as Lara. I think a good potential battle would be King Arthur vs. Gilgamesh - two kings of legend that drew the attention of gods.
Aside from them being among the most famous legends of all time, I don't think they match well. Gilgamesh fits more with heroes of fantastical feats like Heracles or Wu Kong while King Arthur fits more with knights like Charlemagne, Richard the Lionheart or Link

'Here's what I love and hate about Lloyd: he's almost always right' - love that part. Really shows how much Pete and Lloyd, after so many years, have come to be a team that really trust and rely on each other. (Also Lloyd was right; the second version definitely looks better.)
My Old English Teacher brought me here when we were in our poetry unit. These rap battles are definitely a masterpiece, and the fact that they're going on and getting better for over a decade is even more impressive.

Why these two?
1. They're both alter egos of the person playing them.
2. They're both doing it for comedy.
3. They're both critics of things/people.

I didn't recognize it at first, it just felt a new level of exciting to watch. When they pointed it out in this video, it all clicked.

OH MY GOD MATT MURDOCK (Daredevil) VS Phoenix Wright would be something to see for sure. I know your original matchup was Saul Goodman, but MAN would that be funnier to have two fictional people go at it especially the blind superhero lawyer with the ability to win most any case, to the ace attorney doing precisely the same thing.
Pretty impressive that Lara has multiple iconic outfits.

I'm happy ERB is back and that the thorough BtS videos are back along with you! But I am a bit sad we only got a tiny silent cameo from Atul. I'd have loved to hear his thoughts on the safety implications of cracking a whip on set
ahhh. Not an unfair point. Atul is our rock and he kept us all safe. No rapper were hurt in the making of this video.

I always enjoy the BTS, so much incite into the production and choices. It's good to show that sometimes it's hard to decide to remove something you thought made sense until you try it the other way. (although the removed lines were still fun, the finished product was much tighter.)
You guys outdid yourselves, ALL the bars and references were pure fire. Holy crap, you used UNREAL 5, no way haha
These behind-the-scene videos are almost as fun to watch as the battles themselves. I thought the extra work to make the backgrounds look great paid off, and the performances were both stellar too.
The Indiana Jones voice was exactly spot on- good job Peter. Croix was fantastic as Lara Croft- she embodied her really well and nailed the accent.

This is an impressive showdown of the clones. Lara Croft looks fantastic; I love that you payed homage to all of her previous suits. I have two great suggestions for a Epic Rap Battle:
1. Mega Man vs Samus Aran (to challenge yourselves with the Unreal Engine software)
2. Sephiroth vs Virgil (you can refer to Death Battle’s video, but both have strong presence)
3. Robin Hood vs King Arthur (both British legends in terms of history and folklore)

From the same season 1 the Master Chief vrs Leonidas was and still is a smoke feast. Ever since this episode I have been a fan. As a Halo fan this was even more the better. Now that said let's step back and see the video game references from the beginning of ERB to now. Dam that's a lot of research and references. This is why I see it on my Xbox or the iPad so I don't miss as much as I should, never going to happen. There is just to much in these battles that any cell phone is not compatible with this awesome battles. Hint we should get hot pads and fire extinguisher near by just in case cellphone or us erupt in flames from laughing so hard. As a MN born man the bar in ERB. If I wanted to fight loser vikings. I'll go to MN. I'm not a MN Vikings fan but that still stings. Someone get Hollywood on the phone. These guys need exposure for these bars they drop.
