9:54 guy is welding with no mask. He literally made a supercar with his eyes closed. What a legend.
Nah, he has the safety squints on, is basically like wearing a welding mask
Safety squint! 🥳🥳🥳
Lambogynae have been making 'super'cars like that since the Miura.
He's only tacking it together

TVR always had a reputation for being hardcore and quite lairy anyway. Gives you an idea of just how mental the speed 12 actually was
@DontReadMyProfilePicture.57ok I won't
The Americans don't know what "lairy" means.
There was one TVR that didn't even have a hood (bonnet?) that opened. Good luck checking the oil.
@@littleshopofelectrons4014 it had a hatch that was all thats needed when you can lift the whole fiberglass body off its chassis lol
They also didn't had driving aids, so they were pretty wild to drive!
9:54 The safety squint while welding. 🤣
This comment is way too far down
I live in Adelaide, so cool to see this on your channel! Hope you’ve enjoyed your time here in Australia! 🇦🇺
Its so awesome they came here i actually live in birdwood which is crazy i had no idea they came here
Same, I live in Adelaide too. They were on MCM a while back so I assume they might drop by Adelaide on their way back. Wish they could've announced that they were here and surely a simple car meet can be held last minute!
Oath they need to come do some meet and greets over here would be amazing to meet them all in person 😎
I’m guessing that they were here for Bathurst- but agree, wish I knew they were here 😟
@@getcadgedI saw on Jerry’s Insta that they were in Australia a few weeks back so unfortunately I don’t think they were here for the great race
As an Aussie who loves awkward concepts it was such a treat to see the hurricane in all its glory behind you both such a cool car but wasnt expecting the interior to be so small.and compact but wow great video
Yeah its an interesting car ! If you havent been to the museum go, definitely worth it
No mention of the tiny panel van, the packet of tim tams or the line up of holdens in the background 🤔 much love from nz 😉
@@ionelfordI'm hoping that since they were in Australia that they end up doing some videos on some other cars here, not just the Hurricane.
I live like 20 minutes from the motor museum! That’s so sick
Yeah I'd never heard of the Hurricane before. It's like finding out your dad used to be cool.
Day 407 of asking James to do an Up to Speed on his Dad
Day 35 of supporting this
Day 1 of supporting this supporting this
He’s still going jeez
Day 1 of supporting this!🎉
Day 407 of telling you it will NEVER happen if you keep asking for it.
Wait, how did James not get summoned by mentioning "pop-up headlights"?
More than once 😂😂
dead joke
His power does not reach all the way to Australia.
It's great finally seeing cerbera speeds in some place other than forza
Try Gran Turismo
I truly think the way Donut advertises should be the gold star standard. ive gotten so good at skipping ads in videos... but even though Donut shows you how long its going to run for... you just want to watch them for the delivery. Top Notch Donut Team!! Bravo
Yeah, I love their ads, they're just as good as the videos they're featured in.
Always wondered if they're written by the same team working on the videos or if they have their own team for the ads (probably a mix of both).
That bald cap.😂
Map man is even better in my opinion
Lol when they are mainly a channel made to advertise with content of videos a 2nd thought... what else do you expect. Pretty nice if they put the effort Into content
Still skips the cringe
yeah but i hate that they keep doing ads for Keeps. makes me worry about losing my hair which i think is Keeps' whole idea, they sell products that supposedly prevent hair loss and want to scare you into using them.
Imagine a universe where Mercedes made rotary cars and there are Euro vs JDM rotary arguments
Yeah, Mercedes definitely could've made the technology even bigger. NSU isn't really a well-known car manufacturer outside of Germany but there's a reason those old German rotary engined cars are still sought after.
send me to this universe
Germans created the Wankel rotary. End of argument.
The best time would be basically now with the C63... Light Engine, sure not so powerful but they can add the remaining 500 HP with electric shit like they already did. I guess 10x more people would buy a hybrid rotary than a hybrid 4 cyl with no sound. Plus the car would be lighter. Instead of trying to recreate V8 sound they should go for that f1 sound with it and C63 owners would be happy with it as a REPLACEMENT, sure its the complete opposite but unique enough to please buyers.
NSU already made plenty of euro wankel engines, they just didn't stick around.
Motor museum is great for any Aussie coming through Adelaide. Should have made an announcement that you were here in Adelaide. Could have put on a car meet to show you the culture!
The AMC parody with your keeps ad was hilarious.
I'm not even a car guy, aside from aesthetic appreciation, but I love watching this channel. I've learned so much, and it's just interesting. Also, I like every one of the hosts. Y'all out here kickin' ass.
Thats exactly how i got here too
Same. I love the information videos more than the build, but they have such solid editing and... A fun vibe? I don't know the energy is amazing, and the information videos are fantastic for someone like me.
I do wish they delved even deeper onto somethings. Like instead of telling us just about an engine and how it works. Go into detail on the manufacturing on said engines. Or the advandces in making cars for instance. Only manufacturing videos I ever see are about the gigapress, but I know there are more.
The fucking commercial in this video haha.
Why can't people reply the this idiot scammer an tell him people arnt dumb enough to fall for it...why are YT or donut themselves stopping people giving them shit...they've wipes my comments multiple times now.
Just wait it will creep into you like the rest of us.
I've never even owned a car and probably won't ever need one, it's just some really cool history from really entertaining people lol
TVR’s are extremely underrated… beautiful cars that surpassed all their competition back in the day
Surpassed all their competition...... Except in terms of build quality, safety features, after sales etc... But yeah they looked good.
@@KR15INGin terms of speed and value for money as well
That's odd, The only races I remember them winning were single model events. I do remember them breaking a lot though😂😂😂
Haha. I worked during the Dot Com bubble. The number of TVR customer courtesy cars in the carpark was nuts.
til their competition surpassed them on the way home when they were broken or upside down in ditches :)
Oh my God the Neil Breen Double Down poster flying across frame made my day! The internet is a beautiful place 😭
4:13 this is perhaps Donuts best ad, the freakin AMC promo rip 😂😂😂
You should talk about more Australian cars such as more Holdens like the Commodore and Maloo as well as the Ford Falcon.
I've honestly always been kinda pissed about the Falcon platform in Australia, and it not being available in North America at all. A supercharged v8 powered mid-size sedan (as in the Falcon GT) would definitely sell well here I think, but I really love the Ute's they make. The more recent FPV F6 Ute pushes out like 400hp, it's an absolute beast, and I always thought it looked WAY better than the Lightning (the NA "muscle" truck they built).
And the one-ton Rodeo ute, bugger!
@@Astraeus..unfortunately they’re not made anymore. Holden get liquidated by GM so no more Holden at all anymore, and Ford no longer makes any of Falcons or Falcon Utes
Group A cars
@@Astraeus.. as you said it would take up too much marketshare and GM would have a hard time getting dealers to up sell new cars
Always need a packet of TimTams with you
How they survived the whole video is a miracle 😂
Nice to see you guys in my home town ( Adelaide, Australia ), love watching your videos, keep up the good work guys 🙂
Have been watching donut for 3 years and being from Adelaide it’s so cool to see you guys filming here! Hope you enjoyed your time in our city!
Another future car that failed was the one I drew as kid, and told everyone i would own someday.
I just love these futuristic cars. I hope that they make a part 2, or at least a list that is kinda like the opposite: Primitive cars that were primitive even for their own era
DUDE I LIVE IN ADELAIDE!!!!
I used to go to that motor museum as a kid all the time AND both my father and grandfather worked at Holden's for YEARS!!
Are you guys planning on doing a meet and greet at all? I would love you meet you guys!!! You are my favourite CZcamsrs and have inspired me so much.
I have also learnt so much from you guys and am able to work my my own car thanks to the Money pit Miata videos.
Please let me know if you guys are still here and are doing a meet and greet cause I would love to thank you guys for everything!!
Wish they did a pr day in Adelaide. Missed opportunities for fan meets and merch sales.
I can't believe Jer and Jobe visited South Australia without telling anyone :(
I hope it was a pretty chill experience though and I'm glad that they were able to see my home state.
I hope your special day will bring you lots of happiness, love and fun😍💞
Great to see you lads in Straya! Hope you look at some classic Aussie vehicles like our Panelvans, Utes and even cars with the Barra and even the Hemi 6!
Great video! Loved it! Have you considered doing a video of Triumph's sports cars (the 'TR' series) from the 60s, 70s and 80s? Some of them were classics, and others dismal failures!
I remember the Cizeta V16T. It was a wild looking car back in the day. It was an interesting challenger to the Lamborghini Diablo and the Ferrari Testarossa at the time. It also could have given the McLaren F1 an interesting challenge.
I remember seeing photos and reading about the Vector W8 when I was in highschool. I recall the article stating that three of the four chassis sent for crash testing were returned untouched because one alone was able to withstand all of the tests
Would love to see you guys do some more deep dives into holden concept cars, they had some pretty cool concepts which shouldve really seen production
I've always loved these obscure, yet super cool cars where only a few were ever made, so it's no surprise to me that I already knew all of these, apart from that SARD MC8. Great video!
Rather cool that you two visited my city of Adelaide! The drive out to the Birdwood Motor Museum is lovely when there is no traffic. Did you get a chance to pass the former car manufacturing plant on the Phillip Highway in Elizabeth? The buildings main entrance still retains the Holden logo on the glass doors/windows. You would have both seen plenty of Commodores and Falcons on the roads here. Still very very popular cars despite the rise in SUV's, dual cabs and fuel prices.
Weirdly enough I just stumbled upon the 1st production Vector W8 a few days ago on my way back home from a concert. Saw there was a car museum on the way back and decided to check it out. The Vector was one of the first cars out on display. Had literally no idea what it was but thought it was super cool. My first thought was that the Vector had to be the inspiration behind the Quadra Turbo-R VTech from Cyberpunk. Same overall body shape and aesthetic
yea out of all the cars in this video that one immediately screamed Cyberpunk to me.
Gilmore Car Museum? I saw one there this summer.
@@yienmaster04 That's the one!
Cool to see these two visit South Australia to do a story about failed concept cars. I hope you guys mee up with the locals too.
The Tucker Torpedo would have been a perfect addition to this list. I think yall even did an up to speed on it a few years ago!
Love that the audio is just getting quieter and quieter each video. Thanks Donut! Can't wait to get jump scared next non-donut video.
Awesome video! I really wish you guys would’ve talked about or mentioned the 1995 Ford GT90! You should definitely do a part 2 and mention the GT90 as it was an absolutely bonkers concept car! But nonetheless great video as always!
There's no other car that I want reviewed so much!
@@Nozes.. same man same! I’m obsessed with the GT90!
Don’t forget the Indigo that used a non-turbo version of the GT90 motor.
That and the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve were so awesome for the time.
@@creedns agreed! Another awesome concept car!
Oh man, the clips from Beyond 2000 bring back memories. I used to LOVE that show as a kid.
loving the actual holdens in the background.. just missing the vl 😊😊 lol just noticed the tim tams and hq sandman.. yeeww. did you guys make this while down here to see mcm.. that was a good episode. all my faves in one.. go the unicorn curcuit hahaha
$280,000 in 1990 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $657,745.07 today.....did not expect THAT much difference
Saw a Vector W8 at a local cars and coffee a few months back, (was the exact car Doug Demuro reviewed). They’re insane in person, it screams 80s in the best ways.
I remember motoring magazines covering concept cars in the 80's and 90's. Some were absolutely phenomenal. My personal favourite was the Peugeot Oxia. A 680bhp supercar concept with the 4wd system from the Peugeot Group B cars
So wild that the Donut guys were down in Adelaide!!! I love the Birdwood Museum
You should do more Australian cars like the whole Commodore
Never been this early
Y’all should do an episode on the De Tomaso Pantera. It’s my all time dream car and would fit well in your shows.
Best Donut Duo. Love these two together!
Being an Aussie, happy to you see guys in Australia. Hope you enjoyed the trip.
1:05 the "YES" from captain falcon, chefs kiss
You were in my city! I need to come check out that Motor Museum, never heard of the Hurricane, thanks for educating me on my own car culture.
I'm lucky enough to have sat in one of the 17 Vector. My son was watching this with me and he was Also lucky enough to sit in it. I explained when we saw it how rare it was. And this video made his jaw drop. Thanks guys for all the work you do!
I always loved the way them first gen mr-2's looked!
@12:06 ..can tell Jobe hung out with Marty and Moog when he said "that's pretty mad" 😂 ..picking up that Australian slang lol
I love that y’all do shows like this lol, several of the cars are here were my dream cars growing up, y’all nailed this one for sure…. You should maybe do an episode of like “ coolest super cars of the 80’s, 90’s ect” I think every car kid in the 90s had the Ferrari testerossa or the Lamborghini on their wall just a matter of who preferred what colors lol
The AMC Keeps ad was the highlight of this video. I totally lost it 😂
Thanks for making Adelaide motor museum on donuts media I hope you enjoyed your time in the land down under mates and I live in Australia south Australia Adelaide and love your work
You guys came to Adelaide and only 15mins away from where I live!!! I wish I knew this prior! Had some cool cars to show you
Best Keeps commercial I've seen yet.
im from australia and love to see that you guys are surrounded by holdens.
So exited to see donut in australia, hopefully they do a vid like they did in the brazil car community
Love that you have a model of a Holden Sandman and some Tam Tam on your table as you talk😁
Glorious welding safety squints at 9:50 :D
Love the additional nods to Australia on the desk - the Holden panel truck and the Tim Tams….
either they didn't have that holden there when we went or we missed some of the exhibitions, noooo that would have been amazing to see. hope you guys did some other stuff while you were down here!
The fact that TVR of all companies was too afraid to sell the Cerberus Speed 12 says a lot about how truly insane that car was lol
Excellent performance at Indy, Jeremiah! 🏁
I need more concept car coverage this was great
Yay finally someone talks about the vectors sooo cool
It was nice to experience most of these cars in the Gran Turismo games
I remember maybe 16 or 17 years ago I saw a Holden Hurricane in the flesh. I was in the city for a show called Autosalon back in the day in Newcastle. Was drunk out of my mind at Maccas on King St and one of these rolled into the carpark. Dude was cruising in it with his son. When I walked over and signaled to roll his window down to ask him what it was, my head exploded when the whole roof started to lift up instead. Was such an amazing car to see.
The drive from Adelaide up to Birdwood is quite fun, doing it again in two weeks time for Datsun day.
Hahaha that AMC ad reference was amazing 😂😂😂
Love the double pop up headlights! Dayamn!
4:13! That commercial! Love it!
I am from Adelaide and hope you guys had a good time there. Wish I knew you were to show you guys around!
The sard mc8 is one of my favorites. cool to see it mentioned
YaY finally some great CZcamsrs in Australia to talk about our cars and see the Country. Good to see you Lads on the MCM channel as well.
I'm really digging this kind of video. You cats are taking over at Donut.
Not really a Jav car guy, but that SARD looked like something I could build myself, and looked really great in racing guise.
My neighbour had a car under a tarp in his backyard for years and one day I finally saw it with the tarp off and it was a rare Bricklin SV-1. Such a nice looking car back in the day.
9:50, dude is a professional with that safety squint.
Holy cow! I had a poster on my wall of the Vector W8 when i was a kid. That car struck me in a way no other car did in the 80s. 😆
Love the Tim-Tams on the desk 😂
Doug Demuro did a really deep review on the Vector, worth a watch, really cool car.
Man the Vector was being teased my whole childhood, adolescence and young adulthood.
You guys should definitely check out the Bay to Birdwood. About 1500 cars drive up to the National Motor Museum.
We actually had quite a few manufacturers in Australia. Holden and Ford as mentioned, but also Chrysler, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Leyland. Now we have a grand total of zero!
I can vouch for the National Motor Museum. It’s a fantastic place! I’ve spent hours there ogling all the rare and special vehicles they have. It’s a real treasure.
Oh, and the FB had been replaced by 1961 with the EK which was a lightly facelifted FB. I had a 62(final year of production) EK ute for many years, and drove it halfway around Australia in 1996. I couldn’t do more than about 45-50 mph in 42 degrees Celsius in central Australia without it overheating…
I worked for a dealership in the Glendora area, the owner had 2 Vectors on site in storage. I was 18 and had no idea what I was looking at, but it was cool!
So sad I missed you guys in Adelaide 🤘
Amazing. The Holden hurricane has long been a favourite of mine. Since I was a child!
This is the only channel that I watch the sponsor adds. You all make them fun enough to continue watching, your sponsors should pay you more.
I just visited the museum in birdwood the other day. Hope you guys had a good time in Australia!
If you are in the southern hemisphere, you need to go to southward car museum in Kapiti New Zealand. HUGE and spectacular car collection.
Justin with the white bald cap killed me, you guys are nailing it. 😂
Welcome to Australia. I'm assuming you boys also went to Bathurst for race weekend.
Hope you enjoy the trip 🤙
Love the guy welding without eye protection at 9:54
Since you're already there hopefully you do a video on all those Commodores behind you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nice that you guys were down here in Australia, even though I live quite a long distance from that museum! :D
Jeremy's Team America hand signals when driving the Caparo 😂 😂 😂
