That's because CZcams got rid of its Community Captions feature in September 2020.
This feature allowed deaf/hard-of-hearing creators to have fans do their captions for them.
We (D/HoH YT users) signed petitions and protested the decision, but YT held that "not enough people use it."
I strongly believe that access to information is a human right and that all information should be accessible to people regardless of ability/disability, so I stan creators like Drew Gooden who include captions rather than just auto-gen captions.
Or Danny Gonzalez who gives warnings for flashing lights / photosensitivity and trigger warnings for psychologically distressing content.
They are true allies to the deaf and disabled.

For real though, the hack where you use pads is actually very useful for when you're in a cosplay/costume that's hard to take off, haha. You sweat a lot at cons and usually don't have a lot of time to use deodorant (if it requires taking off the costume it's really time consuming) so it's a good way to protect your expensive cosplay.
