I'm a American Trucker and I love European trucks .I was in the U.S Army serving in Germany and got to know all of the different makes of trucks,Scania and DAF are my favorite truck.
I drive a freightliner Cascadia with DD-13 engi e with 450 Hp with a 10 speed manual gearbox,I love all your great videos.
One thing I love about the Irish drivers. They really go to town on their wagons. The extras on the body, the spray jobs they do etc they look brilliant!
Any upgrades on the truck is tax deductible 😉
Hehe you should see the Dutch drivers
I drive a 20 year old Volvo truck here in the US with 1.5 million miles, she still runs great !
@Conexus X18 VNL is an american truck. Them running as "volvo" only means they are allowed to borrow designs and tech from European volvo trucks if they want.
@Conexus X18 It's not about having better tech and design. Volvo USA simply wanted to save costs by borrowing tech and design from Volvo in Europe. It's simply a business decision. Just like how DAF uses the same engine used by Kenworth and Peterbilt. It's not because americans make better engines, its simply because DAF wanted to save costs by borrowing tech from Paccar instead of creating a whole new engine.
And yes, I know that Volvo FH is a Swedish truck. But don't forget, the guy you responded to was talking about Volvo in America. Which means he was talking about Volvo VNL, not FH.
@Conexus X18 Well by that logic, then Volvo is not Swedish but is actually CHINESE (Volvo is owned by a Chinese company).
End of discussion.
If Volvo is not Chinese, then Volvo USA is not Swedish just because they are in partnership with the Swedish Volvo.
End of discussion.
20 year and only 1.5 mio?
Volvo car is chines owned not THE Volvo trucks
I’m a coach driver,now I’ve seen this I want to change my career 🤟🏻
This is the first time I've really seen the inside of one these. Extremely different from the US. I've seen so many arguments over who's got better trucks, but they're so different I don't even think it's comparable. I personally love seeing how you guys do things though, it's pretty cool. One thing I'm definitely jealous of is the fact that you can have like 18 headlights on your truck. That would be completely illegal here!
Totally love that turbo sounds when you change the gear on the test drive !!!!
So many cars in Ireland have dump/blow-off valves that sound like that, love 'em! lol
I love the sound too.. I think it's because of the exhaust pipes going up the back of the cab. I'd love to hear that turbo sound in the truck I drive too.
Channels like yours deserve a million subs.
I'd love to listen to you narrating an audio book. So peaceful and full of positive vibes!
Hello Stavros and thank you for showing this masterpiece of a truck to all of us ! Since 89 ( i was 10 years old) I had the privilege and joy to drive along with my uncle Stelios ( Truck driver in Greece ) in several different trucks but the most dominant machine was always either this one ( older version ) or some Scania . To me both are beautiful and Volvo is just the sweetest sound producing truck in the world with straight pipes ! What you just gave us the opportunity to hear while shifting up, that "breathing through metal" sound is music to my ears my friend ! First trip with my uncle in that truck and back home i could reproduce all the sounds it made to my aunt and cousins with my mouth ! V8 engine and pipes , hazard lights , braking sounds , you name it i had it ! Now at my 40s , watching you driving this BEAST brought back memories of my childhood ! thank you Stavros !!!!
God bless you !
FH Tuning Pack in real life :D
Lol
lol true
agree with you two
It's true hahaha
Fh tuning pack doesnt have these items
Greetings from Sweden. Love that Irish accent, wish I could speak like that 🙂
Good morning stavros another excellent video for us this Sunday morning that Volvo is a beast! Thank you for the up load take care and CHEEERRSS!
Watching your content on YT is always a great pleasure for me. The FH 16 is my favorite truck, and this model is made for me. I enjoyed every detail of this FH with you. Have a nice Sunday and see you next time. Regards.
Hey, love your profile pic👍
Just found your vids...excellent! Really enjoy your knowledge of the vehicles you test drive and your great commentary. Top notch productions! I enjoy seeing your European trucks with some outstanding technology on them. Trucking on the “other side of the pond” is very interesting. Some challenges are similar to Canadian Trucking and others...wow, traffic, small roads etc....looks difficult but I guess it’s what you get used to.
Fun fact: If you spending the weekend in it and start the engine to charge the battery in the summer or weather where you don't need heating, you should engage the brake on the trailer and release the parking brake in the truck while you charging. The weekend fuel consumption will be half. Reason is the volvo has a choke on the engine to reach near operating temperature faster.
Loving the sound of the truck. Such power.
What a beautiful truck. It seemed pretty quiet and smooth inside.
Great video! Keep them coming and I’ll keep watching them! Gracias.
That trucks absolutely gorgeous; I love the theme and the colour. And you Stavros; I like watching you because you love trucks and it shows; you're so interesting to listen to.
I know this is an old vid but I recently came across your channel and have been playing catch up. great reviews of these trucks. I like how you do an exterior walk around and showcase the interiors storage bins and bunks. nice in depth reviews, very informative
Nice review. In my next life I hope to be born in Ireland. This life I got stuck in U.S.A. it sucks!
This is a powerful truck, there's just something extraordinary about the Volvo FH16
Amazing looking machine. Love the sound of the turbo every time you change gear. Would love to drive something like that.
A few years ago here in the States there was a driver exchange program with Australia. I would have gladly came to Ireland and drove for a year.
Not when you see the crap money and tachograph regs.
How to become a truck driver ☹️☹️
@@mortals8365 Ireland for driving trucks is terrible
Thanks.Idk about that.I mean what a person need to be a truck driver I mean qualifications like stuff
@@mortals8365 I did my license over 20yrs ago but it's got more complicated. Really, don't bother with Ireland or Europe, too much stupid legislation
Volvo is by far the best good looking truck...
That is one damn sexy truck. Love what the driver has done with the modifications, so tasteful and suit it to a tee. Must have some fun giving it some poke though!!
Love Volvo trucks. Got used to driving a Scania at the company I currently work for, but had to drive a Volvo FH540 yesterday. A rigid chassis truck with a 4-axle full trailer. I've driven Volvo trucks before so it was nothing new, but the change of pace was nice. Electric steering, amazing gear box and mirrors perfect for reversing.
I can say this. As someone who has driven cab overs and has also driven stand "American style" semis. I definitely have to say that y'all have it better when it comes to design and small features.
Well done in his review. Being a truck driver makes Stavros superb in his technical description .
Brilliant, yet again!
thank you for the thorough walk through and insights
Feels good to be a Volvo trucks shareholder when I see this amazing truck! Damn
Sweet outfit. Awesome in-depth review, thank you 👍
Very nice! Beautiful truck and ride! I drove a Freightliner Columbia in Canada/US, about 500,000 miles. Pretty good truck, too. wish you many safe drives!
just finished working at volvo trucks last week, looking forward to work there again. im proud becuz of that time.
Love the Video and Truck. Love & Respect from 🇺🇲
i love it ilove evry things about this truck horn, power paint ,engine sound ...is the best realy
Lovely truck, thanks for great vid again stavros
Your voice is so entertaining to hear, I love the Irish accent
Very informative, and the Scania R520 V8 Streamline is my favorite truck!
Love the train horn! :-)
Great video! Greetings from Düsseldorf. 🙂👍
I really enjoyed.
Damn So many things done inside...
great vid just passed my C class on Monday doing my C+E in 4 weeks can't wait to get driving trucks like these
Congrats and good luck with the C+E
It’s been a month, how did the test go?

@Hohepa How are you doing
Hope we get to know each other with time and patience?
Brilliant Stavros. Very nicely done
Awesome video. 👏👏 Stavros
very difficult to chose between volvo and scania but great vehicle that you proved today. cheers.
Very cool Stavros!! 👍👍
It is a very good truck thank you for description
A little has happened since I myself drove a truck in my youth, a Volvo N88 It looks really nice and driver-friendly
Whoa! Turbo noises! Never heard a newer Volvo do that. Configuration looks similar to the new VNL series here in the states. Except ours doesn't make fun noises.
astolfo
Does VNL have D16 option?
@@dbclass4075as a matter of fact yes! I believe they're made to order? I work at the main post office in my location also as a truck driver and saw a an OTR driver with a deep blue VNL with a D16.
This one is awesome..good features on it
I like de guys briefing about these trucks, he's so eloquent.
3:43 yeah! Only in my dreams lol. :)
This is a nice color for the cabover and they did well on adding and blending in the accessories or the outside. 750 horses...that’s quite a bit for a cabover! The automatic transmission seemed to be quite responsive and smooth. I didn’t expect that. I’m not a big Volvo fan, but I was impressed with the truck overall. Thanks for sharing this experience. I bet you really enjoyed the truck...it sure looked like it. I could see a cabover here in the USA having that kind of power! I wonder if Volvo has ever tried to sell their cabovers here in the USA. I even liked the little toolbox on the rear of the truck...that is something that we did on a Peterbuilt cabover several years ago. Cabovers rule! Don’t forget to enjoy the ride.🇺🇸🥰
Your country has essentially made cabovers illegal to go on the road there so you're not going to see one of these any time soon
Sounds amazing
nice video, I have a FH and I find that the automatic box takes pleasure in driving
I love your videos!
That's a very impressive TRUCK Mate.
The truck is damn good. the gear change, the sound
.
one word #outstanding
Great looking truck Stavros nice video
What a beast! Hope i don't regret the fact we're now remodelling the AROCS into our unique and extraordinary truck iso a VOlvo!
cant stop watching this stuff
The European trucks may not have the floor space American trucks, but I’d love to drive these trucks. There are so many cool features on these. The storage options, the power train integration, the tires, the interior quality, the engines, much more refined than what I drive. I like my truck and everything, but the European ones have a much more premium feel.
Always a pleasure to looking at your beautiful videos stavros, with a very nice volvo and good explanation about the truck 👌👌
I always see this in JMC...it’s stunning
I’ve drove a 750 a few times they are awesome you can’t tell you’ve got 44 ton behind you you just fell empty all the time but can be thirsty
I really enjoyed the video and Volvo truck.
Great job stavros from botswana
great video man
I would love to see a tour of the old volvo fh13
That is a really nice truck !!!
That is really ultimate truck for any conditions
I’ve always preferred the Volvo and the bigger the better the only scania I would have is the t-cab but only as a show truck. But due to having major heart surgery a few years ago I can no longer drive so rely on your videos to keep my trucking addiction going lol 😆. Keep them coming cheeeeeeers 🤣🥴🤩
Awesome looking truck 👌
It’s super I love it specially on road train in Australia
we don’t have 750 FH IN AUSTRALIA
This is in the uk not Australia
@@francisandfranklin359 This is in Ireland not UK.
Jānis thanks for the correction 👍🏽
We drive Volvo here in Dubai 🚚 absolutely what a beast truck 👌
im from Germany and my dad drives a Volvo FH16 650 Timber Truck with 665 Hp and the truck is really verry verry powerfull another guy who drives a Timber Truck who i know has a Volvo Fh16 750 an they chip tuned the truck up to 950 Horse Power an 4,300 Nm wich is just awesome…..great Video Keep up
Beautiful gorgeous truck 🔥🎗
I honestly really like the straight 6 sound.
I wish Volvo would sell these in the US
You can import them from Ireland me and Stavros are Irish
That is some nice swedish craftmanship 🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻
Very sharpe ! I would want and need one with a twin screw drive and an extended frame. 👍👍
this paint job is phenomenal
The Best of The Best of all truckS, Truly indeed KING OF THE ROAD . Sexy engineering.
OMG that thing is fast!! Bobtailing I don't think there's many normal vehicles that could take it in a race!
Great job Stavros. From Kenya

So amazing 👍
Although it has 750hp i still prefer the F16 470hp. Best truck that Volvo has ever made!
I remember my dad coming up the hill still very far away. My dog was always the first one to know about 10 seconds before anyone could hear him coming. Without mufflers she made a beautiful noise when taking the foot of the accelerator to change gears up the hill. It sounded like she was singing.
Im the same. I love the big 750 Volvos and 730 Scanias but my heart will always be with DAF. Particularly the 105XF as my dad a beautiful 2007 model that pulled anything which was surprising considering it only had 460hp. Boy did she sound good 😍
What a complicted machine !
Stavros you should see can you go to blow or another company to see how they airbrush the trucks. It's amazing the work they do
This truck its a beast...
I loved Volvo truck 😍
Some beast nice one
First time watching one of your videos! You're like the Irish Doug DeMuro. Show us the Quirks and Features, then take it out on the road for a test drive. The only thing you missed was the "Doug Score" at the end! Great stuff. My ancestors emigrated from Ireland to United States around 1850. Need to visit the home country some time...
Stavros is much better than DeMuro. DeMuro isn't nearly as insightful, thorough or enterntaining.
Yep. Sorry, posted before I found yours.
My favourite truck , hope to drive it one day
I love your vids and cool trucks 🚛 😍
Gratings from Corfu Greece
You don't often see smoke stacks like that on modern Volvo. They are -90's Scania style more, but does look good in this.
Lovely truck
