I bought a 2015 F150 Lariat for my wife and I just never did like the truck (and I was a huge Ford fan until then). I could immediately tell the difference in weight and how the truck drove, and I will never again have a gas turbo charged engine. That truck was in the shop four times within 6 months and the fuel mileage was only good if you hyper miled. If you pull a trailer with any weight or wind resistance, the mileage was worse than any V8 I ever owned. I had a 2015 Dodge ecodiesel(huge mistake)and then a 2017 Silverado for myself, although I thought the build quality and the way it drove was better than Ford, I hated the dead throttle response and immediate shifting to the highest gear to save gas. I traded that Silverado in on a new Titan after 7 months and it is the best decision that I have made on purchasing vehicles in awhile. The Titan's build quality is excellent, the driving experience is better than Ford or Chevy, and in my opinion it is a superior truck to both Ford & Chevy. I get 20-21 mpg @ 70-75 on the highway and in mixed driving around 17.8 without a dead throttle or hyper mileing. The Titan has hydraulic steering and a normal engine driven fan which is ten times more durable than electric, all American trucks are electronic steering and electric fans now. The Titan boxes & tie down rails are absolutely awesome, the step up is 10 times easier than Ford's tailgate crap and not near as high as Chevy's corner bumper step. Ford has way too many ridiculous gadgets that you might use a handful of times right after you buy it, but that is probably about it. As for max towing, anyone who is trying to tow 10,000 lbs. or more in a half ton truck is an idiot anyway. Half town trucks are now rated to tow way too much in my opinion, and anyone who tows alot like I do will say the same thing(I think 9,000 lbs. is enough). Because if you are towing, you have to deal with head wind, side wind, hills, and if any 18 wheeler passes you on the freeway god help you especially with a half ton. American manufacturers have now got into this war with gadgets, horsepower/torque numbers, max towing numbers, and any other things to one up the other instead of concentrating on building just an all around solid truck anymore. I was an American vehicle only guy, but the new Nissan Titan has won me over big time, and I might not ever go back. Oh, and I forgot to say that I think the truck is really awesome looking.
What I like about it are the unique front signature LEDs. I've had mine for 4months now. Love it. Sure there are some likes and dislikes but that's with any truck. I always thought I'd have a GMC in the drive, This one one me over. sure it may not be as good looking but looks wasn't all I was going for.
It doesn't look like ford and they don't copy ford.that styling on the side is for low mount side mirror.ASIAN LARGE VEHICLE LIKE ISUZU ELF,MITSUBISHI CANTER ,FUSO,AND OTHER NISSAN LARGE DIESEL VEHICLE BEEN DOING THAT DESIGN IN ASIA BEFORE THE F150 DID!
Here in Texas they are discounting heavy just tempting you to buy. Do yall think would be a good truck just to haul lite loads no more than 6,000 lbs and drive 60 mile trips? I'm really thinking about switching and need an opinion not a comment about brand loyalty real opinion...
David Flores they are also taking 10 -12k off the platinum reserve models here in New Jersey. I was looking at the new ram 2019 model ( love that truck) but Nissan is making a compelling offer by discounting their trucks, and the truck doesn't look half bad on the outside its just their interior space that I can't get passed. It is way out dated and feels cheap for a top end $50k truck when the competition are making some really luxurious trucks these days regardless of brand loyalty.
All this is fine and dandy the deal breaker for me is the lack of the 6.5' bed. I don't need the XD since I don't carry anything heavy but I need the 6.5 to carry long things like 2x4 4x8 wood etc.
Actively look for a truck and I really like the looks of this truck. The XD is likely just too big. Giving strong consideration to many trucks, but I definitely want to check this truck out. For the same price would you get this or the XD?
So, Nissan 2017 Titan half-ton, crew cab model, can tow 9,390 lbs when properly equipped and maximum payload for the crew cab is 1,610 lbs, Ford and GM full size pickups tow and payload more, h___ some models are with in lbs of the Nissan Titan XD capabilities
Nissan please ditch the hideous engine badge, all the chrome, get rid of the tacky pro 4x branding on the chairs, and offer an extended fuel tank option. Fix those things and you may earn some more customers.
That is the power down shift lever override button. The plastic access cover was missing. Now we know what that odd square piece of plastic in the cup holder is for. Thank you!
I would say yes if you look at the insane prices of full size trucks today. I believe the smaller less capable Ford Ranger prices can hit the $45.000 range. It's not a knock on the Ranger but I prefer a full size truck if I'm spending that kind of money.
@@kc-6837 you should buy at the end of season. The 2018 are very well discounted. 2019 are somewhat discounted. They are making room for the 2020. I saw a 2018 for 34000.
John Haslett I tried but they didn’t have one I wanted. I bought a 19 SV 4x4 and I love it. I got a good trade for my Ram. It seems harder to find a Titan because they don’t seem to sell many of them.
@@kc-6837 that's surprising. You should have went to cars.com. they have a bunch if dealers with a bunch of titans competing for your business. I found a fully loaded 2019 titan for close to yours on the sight. And the 2018 was even cheaper. I wish I could have told you sooner.
way to go DATSUN!!! you just released a brand new, 2017 pickup truck that is instantly 20 years old! how DO you do it? nissan should stop investing in their truck, "barfMADA", and maxima divisions so they can build a world class altima...the only car they sell in respectable numbers. or, they can just go away....nobody cares.

I just got a pro 4X with the V8 and I love it
So true. I traded my 2016 Ram 1500 5.7 4x4 in on a 2019 Titan SV 4x4 and I love it.
Titans are have just as much if not more American made content then the big 3 garbage, anyway the big 3 are sell.
Awesome truck but very underrated unfortunately

nissan should've keep that big back window like the previous model
Victor Sainz I agree
Probably related to rollover score requirements
Definitely gonna get a Pro4x Titan. F150s are nice but I definitely want something that DOES NOT look boxy like an F150.
Solid review btw!
F150 is like a cardboard box on wheels. Why I passed and went with the titan. I wanted some curves
Looks nothing like a ford f150
I agree. I don't see the resemblance.
I love mine I just bought that same exact truck same color different wheels is all 2017 V8.
Really like the look of the Pro 4x. Can't stand the chrome grille. Love the athletic look of the P4x though. I kind of want one.

David Flores Tow capacity is 9,800lbs
Get a GMC
What did you end up doing, david? I just got one. Curious if you did and your thoughts!

MrMaz111 then wait for it. Single and king cab were just released this fall
Nice looking truck
Very nice looking truck.
yay truck video!
Is it just me or does it look better now that they re did the hood??
What kind of boots do you use? They look great. I've been shopping for a good pair.
I like it.
Map pockets? Are those in a package that includes an 8 track tape player?

True , but you cant make a half ton into a 3/4 and that's what the Big 3 are trying to do .
01:10 Thank you

What's that red square on the steering wheel column under the shifter?

ok
I love those broad shoulders ,they really make it look nice
Still too big for most people's needs.

juat got mine yesterday 😂
Still have it?
What kind of man backs down from the gun hating nazis and says he doesn't own a gun?!!
This looks just like a Ford F150
It doesn't look anything like an F150. The only similarity I see is the dip in the windows. That's it.
I like it, but it looks like an F-150 lol
Bernie I hope your eye sight has improved over the last year.
