    Wow, Alex... awesome review (again)! You really did your homework. So many details I will definitely have to watch this two or three times! But I'm NOT complaining. Other reviews (while entertaining) do not provide any facts to support their recommendations, and learn too much traditional (bias) thinking. You have just earned yourself another subscriber. Thanks

    Wow! Great video, thanks Alex. I had a 2014 Ram 1500 Eco Diesel and sadly at 76000 kms it spun a rod bearing. Chrysler did replace it under warranty however they only give you the remainder of the power train warranty on the new engine, so I decided to trade it in on a 2017 Titan SV 5.6. So far my wife and I love everything about the truck, much nicer than our Ram. In fact the only thing we miss about the Ram is the fuel economy.

    Titans are the most underrated truck on the market and probably the best tow vehicle a in the class.
    Nissans tow numbers and payload numbers are real and not some BS Chevy ..Ram or Ford numbers.
    Silverados are made in Mexico ..Rams are foreign owned like Titans and F150s are garbage so when people say the stupid line that the Titan is foreign well so are the others except the f150 but again its a POG.

  • @kc5077
    @kc5077 Před 8 lety +1

    I think the F150 and Silverado Tie overall, I can't wait until they get the 10spd auto across the lineup. The Ram 1500 is the most attractive and the ecodiesel is tempting but it's lower resale and reliability put it third in my books. The Titan shares low reliability and resale but none of the good looks but I would choose it over the ancient Tundra.

      rcv79 Either the end of the year or the month of march which would be the end of Nissan's fiscal year and the biggest discounts will be implemented to hit their numbers.

  • @jimgattiker6992

    I'd really like to hear about "manumatic" operation in the reviews. Will it hold a gear or is it temporary, or is it only a limitation in how tall the gear is, etc. For example, Mazda's gear selection mode seems to be only a suggestion, Subaru CVT manual mode stays put and holds but is slower to change, toyota's and honda's is more like old-time D--2-1). I use manual mode a lot: anticipating hills, controlling excessive shifting, and engine braking/descent, it means a lot to my buying decisions.

    Ram actually has the best warranty. Ram Chrysler and Jeep have the Life time warranty 999,999 miles/ 999 months although you do have to pay extra for that warranty. but if you plan on keeping you car for a long time def worth it. it covers a lot of parts.

  • @sclark1701
    @sclark1701 Před 8 lety +1

    Specs make this a colossal failure out the gate. You can have this truck at just shy of $60k with the mini-cummins and 550ft/lbs, or spend a couple grand more for the real cummins in the Ram 2500 with a manual, laramie trim, and 900ft/lbs. This thing is a waste of time unless the diesel came in at $45k

    • @AAutoBuyersGuide
      @AAutoBuyersGuide  Před 8 lety +2

      Well a comparable RAM 2500 to this model would be just over $71,000 in MSRP. The base XD is $8,000 less than a comparable RAM 2500 and the delta grows as you add options. While there are good deals on the RAM, you can bet that similar deals at Nissan will keep the delta at that $8-10K delta.

    • @sclark1701
      @sclark1701 Před 8 lety +1

      +Alex on Autos Nope. Just priced out the 2500 Laramie at $61.5k while the Titan comes in right over $55K without any options other than the diesel added, so that would likely go up. So for an extra $6.5K you could get the manual that no other truck in it's class offers along with a massive power and reliability advantage with a tried and true powertrain opposed to this new to market unit riding on the cummins name. If you want this truck in the diesel and overlook the Ram I think you'd be selling yourself short, likely for the sake of brand loyalty.

    • @AAutoBuyersGuide
      @AAutoBuyersGuide  Před 8 lety +4

      As I said, comparable models. The Titan XD Crew cab starts at $40,290 with the diesel, the 2-door with the 8 foot bed will be less. I'm not sure where you're seeing $55K as a base price, a fully loaded Titan XD doesn't go any higher than about $61K. The Laramie is comparable to either the S or SV trim of the Nissan. The diesel S trim is 40,290 and the diesel SV is 44,060 which are both notably below the RAM before you consider the much longer bumper to bumper warranty on the Nissan. I love me some RAM trucks, I'd probably buy a RAM 1500 ecodiesel if I were shopping but the Nissan is still going to be less expensive than a diesel RAM 2500.

    Thanks for the vid. Very informative. But I take issue w you (and other reviewers) touting fords weight savings. If u look at the numbers, and granted, it's very difficult to compare models in trucks, the ford trucks are very slightly less heavy than a GM. As many have pointed out...ford weight savings only brought them in line of the weight of a comparable GM. Stop drinking the ford kool-aid. Here's a comparison

  • @InvestBetter.
    @InvestBetter. Před 8 lety +1

    The Nissan Titan is shaping up to be a huge sales flop. This year, they have sold less than 8500 trucks, or just over 1000 a month. The laggards in the class, Tundra and Sierra, sell over 10k a month.

    • @thoma015
      @thoma015 Před 8 lety +2

      Well the regular Titan just started showing up to dealers this month so it's a bit premature to say it Will be a flop.

    • @InvestBetter.
      @InvestBetter. Před 8 lety

      1. I don't see much of a difference in the XD and this truck. If people don't like the XD, they won't like this either.
      2. If you are selling Cummins diesel pickups in the U.S., and you can't move more than 1000 a month, that's a huge red flag. Houston, we've got a problem.

    • @robertchapman4488

      HDaviator the extra weight of the diesel motor takes away the carrying amount off of the load capacity.
