    This is the best breakdown of all the different trims I've seen. Nice you've had all the models and their differences laid out clearly.

    Hi Alex,
    Almost seen all your videos. Keep up the great work sir.
    The only thing that's missing in all your reviews and also in almost every other car reviews is the interior and exterior light in nights. Of course every car has different interior light colours and styles not to mention some crazy lighting on door panels or even around the dashboard on some cars. I would personally love to see this additional section in your reviews.
    Thanks again for all the hard work, you make car dealerships salesmen jobs a whole lot harder lol

    Great review...lots of info. You nailed it. I have a 2006 4-dr Titan that has been awesome for me. It's never let me down. I tow a 4700 RV trailer with ease. Ready to trade in for a new Titan but that price! If I could get get 8 to 10 thousand off...maybe I'll pull the trigger. Thanks for a great review.

    Great job like always! I like how bold and in your face the Titans grill looks. I feel like design wise it will now be able to compete with the likes of Ford's, Ram's, GM's and Toyota's entries in the pickup truck segment. Keep up the great work!

    I think you meant to say that: "thankfully it doesn't have any ridiculous cylinder deactivation". Because, trust me, cylinder deactivation isn't something you want. nevermind the fact that it causes serious longevity issues with the engines, in real world use, it doesn't translate into a tangible difference (or any difference at all) in fuel economy. I have experience with both GM and Dodge cylinder deactivation engines. It may improve the EPA sticker numbers, but certainly not real world.

    • @djayt1215
      @djayt1215 Před 6 lety

      real world use will depend on how you drive. if you're heavy off the line, and brake a lot instead of coasting, it wont matter because you'll spend more time in 8 cylinder and less time in 4 cylinder

    The V8 diesel is way better than the V8 gasoline, since it offers over 160 lb-ft more torque but only 80 fewer horses.

  • @BringOnTheCold
    @BringOnTheCold Před 8 lety +3

    I wish Nissan would ditch all the chrome. The only option I like is the pro 4x with the body/black colored grille. Ditch that stupid engine badge. Looks completely out of place. It is a goofy shape, make it much smaller, and add it by the Titan branding. Take the slightly more aggressive look of of the lights and grille from the warrior concept and add them to this truck. Offer a bigger fuel tank. I am not a huge fan of the Nissan badge, I kinda hope they embrace the Titan logo more and use it as the front badge in the grille. Having said that, I am extremely interested in either this truck or an F150.

  • @swanblake
    @swanblake Před 8 lety

    You forgot to mention the tow rating is lowest in class. The wording you chose was interesting. Only talking about the highest owing rating of all base trims but not about the optional engines in the others that blow the Titans rating out of the water.

    • @AAutoBuyersGuide
      @AAutoBuyersGuide  Před 8 lety +2

      Two things. First, most states restrict conventional towing over 10,000 lbs to Class A licences so it doesn't matter. Two, there are no optional engines here and The Nissan's MSRP is very low. Sure there's more towing in the top engines in the competition but not only is that capacity not usable for a large portion of truck buyers, it'll cost you a great deal more than the Titan.

    • @swanblake
      @swanblake Před 8 lety +1

      +Alex on Autos fair points. No argument here on that front. It was more of a surprise that you did not mention it. However, looking at it from your view point, I can now understand the omission as it is not applicable to the majority.

    I don't get these trucks and their payload capacity. I mean, Hilux is rated at about 2425 lbs on a double cab and it is what you'd call a 'mid-size' truck. Single cabs get 3064 lbs in payload capacity.
    Where full-sizers get the absolute advantage though, is towing capacity, as mid-sizers top out at aprox. 6Klbs.
    Are the frames so different or what?, I don't get it.

    • @djayt1215
      @djayt1215 Před 5 lety

      Frames, suspension, shocks, weight. The hilux doesnt have to compete with much in other countries. In the US they still have to give consumers a reason to by a 2500 and 3500

      +David Stanley If Nissan is one of the best in trucks, how come they don't sell much or is the worst in resale value compare to the rest(trucks)? All truck have pros and cons. I want to see how the redesign Titan hold up.

    • @chrgav1286
      @chrgav1286 Před 8 lety

      +David Stanley Looking at previous Titan, it didn't sell much. 1.) Not talking about the redesign Titan. 2.) Most people buys v6 doesn't tow much or doesn't use the trucks potential be Ford or Ram.

  • @lmn222002
    @lmn222002 Před 8 lety

    I think Nissan missed the boat by not making a single cab truck with a 6.5 ft bed or even a higher trim with a bench leather seat...I am not a big fan of the huge center console, I rather have more leg and stretch room with a bench seat...

    • @djayt1215
      @djayt1215 Před 5 lety

      True, but have to keep in mind, they did their market research and are trying to appeal to first time truck buyers. They know its nearly impossible to sway the loyalists

      But aren't all trucks now tho? Most fully loaded full-sized trucks can top out near or well over $70,000 these days. That's just way too much for almost ANY car I feel. What happened to the days when you could get a reasonably loaded truck like this for 30-something thousand dollars? Now, that's just the base models...
