That one other gauge you were wondering about you are exactly right, it is for exhaust temp (also known as EGT) which is the best way on a diesel to know how hard you are "working" the engine. For heavy towing people, you would definitely want that gauge ;-)

Great Nissan.
I test drove a SV recently, stickered at $52,300. First impression was, this thing is huge, that's just standing next to it. I really wanted to like the truck but the weight it was carrying around never was to be forgotten. It weighs 200 lbs more empty than my 2008 Tundra weighs with 1600 lbs in the bed, which is more than the SV was rated to carry. It's rated to tow 2000 lbs more than the Tundra but with the low cargo cap you'll exceed the GVRW with any trailer over 10,000 lbs. The math on the XD just doesn't add up, it needs a serious diet.

Mike, those dots on the windshield behind the mirror are not for sun blocking, that is part of the in-glass antenna for the radio and satellite and is in most if not all Nissans. Otherwise pretty good review. Best walk-thru of the interior, particularly the radio so far.

It's rediculous how underrated this beast is. The engine is not perfect, being Nissans first North American diesel. But it doesn't take much to make it perfect. The truck itself is rediculous with how much they give you. From the 4 wheel disks, Aisin transmission, box frame, bilsteins, all heated seats, cleat system, storage boxes, etc. You get a lot of value.
But for an engine that won’t go max 150k?

Love the new Titans but for the price tag, I feel the screen display OS should offer more. Looks very basic along with the rear view camera and quality of picture. Just minor things I hope Nissan changes in the near future and I'll consider purchasing one

SONAR = Sound Navigation and Ranging, it has nothing to do with being underwater.
It ranges based on sound waves rather than radio waves (much lower frequency)..

Can one lock and unlock the doors with the key?
Stephen Ferris the keey that you can take out of the fob can be used to unlock the doors to get into the vehicle (incase the battery in the fob is dead) Some vehicle also have a regular key start. Incase the battery in the fob is dead. Im not sure it the extra key this comes with can be used to unlock the doors or if its just for the tail gate. But the key in the fob will unlock the door.

The guage in question at time 19:20 is the DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) Level.
Correction: It's Exhaust Temperature, which correlates to DEF Efficiency in converting exhaust to "non-toxic" output.

Nissan Titan XD has problems with driveshaft. The problem is caused by a "resonance frequency" that occurs at speeds above 75 mph. Vibrations caused by a condition that occurs in the power train systems at speeds above 75 mph and continued operation causes the transmission and driveshaft components to fracture. The problem is unnoticeable until it causes damages and the truck quits moving while driving.
the hood is very similar to Chevy Silverado 😝 but the truck is cool besides that
does anyone also think that the gear shift located behind the steering wheel make this truck look cheap.
Putting the shifter on the column frees space in the center console. I like it up there.

Good review .I am in the market for a new pickup ,but think the Titan is way way too expensive. I think it's going to have low sales because ,lets face it .For $50-60k someones gonna go Ford or Toyota Tundra. Thank you though. Good luck with the hand.
