Literally 5 seconds in and Linus drops the thing BEFORE getting it out of the box. He's actually getting better at it!
Professionals have standard
He's speedrunning it
psu cable looks dog, gpu needs a stand/bracket, 2 ram sticks instead of 4 always looks cheap
@@LunatiqHigh then what's the point?
@@gm083512 sticks will always be better for high performance ram. Multiple sticks per channel can be much more taxing to the memory controller.
That graphics card needs an anti-sag asap, especially Gigabyte cards are known to break at the retention hook of the PCB and brick themselves that way.
6:11 Yeaahhh gigabyte boards seem to be consistency of tombstone pizza crust
Most if not all RTX 4090s need a anti-sag part to be in place as many break from GPU sag. Enough of them that a anti-sag thing should come with them.
@@yumri4 i wonder why, it's not like it weighs as much as a human child /s
The whole system needs a re-do...Its not even coustome water cooling for that price. Bullshit AIO when NHD-15 could do just fine...They went intel when its just gonna ruin your powerbill over AMD for no performance uplift. Defiantly not a whale level PC. Edit...Not even gen5 drive, granted it did release some months ago, but instead they could had gone 990 Samsung pro.
@@Djuntaswtf are you talking about! No price was given… you say not up to par then say they used to good of a item. Lol
Put the weed down
Put the beer down
Get off the crack and step away from the keyboard
In 5 years your graphics card will be its own tower that sits next to your main pc tower
No, it will be your brain and the pc will be the chip in your brain that controls you.
It wouldn't surprise me honestly... if you had the room it would be kinda sick to have some crazy looking water cooled gpu tower lol
The sooner the better. Think of the thermal headroom.
or you put the pc into your gpu.
@@fu6817 lol
I like how worried asmon looks when Linus reviews his pc.
PTSD Lol
Linus has a MASSIVE influence on the PC and gaming community. A good or bad review from him could make or break your company.
Shame he's just another corporate shill these days.....I wouldn't now trust any of their reviews.
@@danieldevito6380 he did break himself pretty badly
@@jonous2001 It's easy to bash so-called "corporate shills" when you're not the one they're giving millions of dollars to. I take it that you're so honorable that you'd turn the money down if you were in that position, right?
Linus slammed the case upside down with a 4090 in it, better check those cracks around the pcie slot...
6:15
@@charaznable8072 Could be. Even if not just like that right now it might (probably will) break at some Time in the Future. Agreed.
Imagine spending $10,000 for a $5000 pc and a lan ticket. They saw you coming from a mile away.
its a 3k pc, with 2k worth of "custom" work on it..
@MarkOfTzeentch yeah that's 5k

has the whale joke been lost in translation?

It's a gigabyte 4090. Only a matter of time before that gpu sag breaks the pci connector.
I think they're addressing the sag with a support bracket in the final product.
There are brackets to prevent exactly that.
Doesn't he remove the support bracket?
@@joshholmes1372 no he removes the cable clip
Thats literally every4090, the 4090 needs an antisag
That is an amazing looking computer. I really love the light blue and the whole theme is just perfect. Very nice
That GFX card needs a support its crazy that they didn't include it.
That gpu needs a full slab concrete foundation
The GPU came with one, starforge didn't install it. Probably because iirc it's not the right color naturally. Imagine not just 3d printing one in the right color though...
IVE NEVER used a support for a GFX card. Never had an issue. Supports are not needed.
@@Dead_Goat Are you using a 4090 though? These things are 3 times as heavy as any card 5 years ago.
@@Dead_GoatI have to use one with my 6900 XT. I was experiencing constant crashes with my undervolt that were fixed by a lil cylinder with a bit sticking out that holds the end of the card up to keep it level.
Oh wow, a Lost Ark PC. GJ Starforge
"Where's mine, why didn't I get one?" Get the man his PC, he's an owner for crying out loud lol. Love the artwork they did for it
*g* The best part is: He hasn't even seen that PC himself.
Asmon should just buy a U-haul truck and turn the back into a gaming room with a portable AC unit mounted on the side. Then just have a driver take him everywhere across the country for these events.
Everyone tweaking on linus flipping the pc like that lmfao, it was 100% intentional, if that fucked anything up no way it had any chance in shipping.
People freaking out about that have obviously never seen what goes on at courier/transport depots or what happens when the vehicles are on road.... pot holes, kerbs, small children & speed humps all knock the stuff about.
@@tollmeyer543are you implying delivery vehicles are regularly running over small children?

Now I know what asmongold and other OTK members aren’t uploading anything about the Linus situation..
Need zack to buy LTT Screwdriver to do a review fixing his frying pan 😂
Not seen much of Linus on youtube recently
I'm so proud of you guys really. Your beating so many other system intergraters cooler master, rog and alien wear in quality. Im so glad your doing well. You might not see it but linus has praised so much more than the others in videos. My god he normally rips apart other system intergraters. So far your on his good books. Try jayztwocents next.
My first 3d card was a voodoo and you needed at least a 2 meg primary video card for it to work. Then I upgraded to the voodoo 2 and you could sli 3 cards together and if I remember correctly my first voodoo did not even have a cooling fan on it.
My first graphics card was the Voodoo 2. Upgraded my old AST Pentium 90 to a pentium 200 overdrive, slapped that Voodoo 2 in there, and gamed on until the 500MB HDD was full 😅
I had the same. With a Turbo button on the computer.
Was allowed to game for 1 hour every day, and then my parents kicked me out of the house 😢
@unnuked that's very relatable 🤣 My Voodoo2 came with the game Incoming. Oh man, what a way to showcase the 3dfx technology 😁
@@ralfn5075 My mom bought Incoming for me and then the PC couldn't run the game because you needed a Voodoo card, so she also bought me a Voodoo card and I was amazed by the graphics (pawpaw lasers)
Nicely done, skip the part where he talks about the busted usb-c interface on the motherboard, nice to know starforge are honest and genuine
yeaaah, kinda lame.
*Owns a computer building company*
*Also, calls LAN ports "internet plugs"*
Impressive.
"the card fells off" 😂
Yes, he owns the company - he don't run it. And well, when for speed reasons he plugs his gaming PC right into the router with the LAN cable, it's mostly the "internet plug" for him. Don't forget that modern PCs and even laptops most time don't have a real ethernet plug anymore, as they have no internal modem, because why installing one when 99% of PCs and Laptops get connected to the Internet via a Router with WLAN or LAN cable.
@@acmenipponair "don't have a real ethernet plug anymore," Huh? Obviously, *you* know as much (or even less, probably) as Asmon does about Ethernet. "as they have no internal modem," which has *nothing* to do with Ethernet.
@ the ethernet connector is NOT the LAN connector. ;)
@@acmenipponair What's the difference with the Ethernet and LAN connectors? All of my modern Ethernet cards, switches, routers etc. use regular RJ45 (8P8C) connectors and a mix of Cat 5e and Cat 6 cables.
I do also have some 90s desktops with 10BASE2 network cards with BNC connectors, but sadly I don't have any of the cables, BNC T-connectors, BNC terminators etc. to build a 10BASE2 network.
Have you thought about seeing if you could use PCI risers? I got one that moved it 90 degrees so it now sits pins down works wonders.
i'm surprised LTT didn't try to auction your pc off
Its not a Linus video without him breaking something
Whale? Im more of a Guppy kinda guy myself
minnow crowd represent
i prefer mini itx too lol!
I'm a plankton
Just a betta fish here
If that’s a whale PC, and you’re in guppy territory, then I’m big boss Protozoa over here
Oh my god... that Star Forge logo with the stick man made me ROFL.
Man if only I had one of these I could play rust at 30fps
Did something happen to rust since i last played?
Asmongold has a science project growing in the cup behind the monitor. When it's complete it will clean his room for him.
Not really worth its weight of a review tho next time sent it too gamers nexus
its crazy i live 15 min from linus office. I dont think much about it but then when they have these events you get ppl all over the world coming.
Bless the two of you who replied "That's what she said"
Linus drops styrofoam into a chair like a boss
great video man. glad to see how successful you are.
You should try updating your network drivers if you are having trouble connecting to the internet with your motherboard.
in the future the GPU will be the case you put the CPU in! also for the logo... just changing the "circles" (balls) to triangles or at least squares would do wonders.
My first computer was a Tandy 1000, so, from there -> Intel -> Voodoo in SLI -> BFG Geforce 4 -> XFX 5900Ultra -> 2x XFX 8800GTX Ultra XXX in SLI -> 2x EVGA 9800GX2 SSC in SLI - 2x EVGA 285 Classified in SLI -> NVidia Titan(OG) -> NVidia Titan Black -> NVidia Titan RTX -> Asus gaming 3090 -> Asus Gaming 4090
Are you sure linus reviewed it accurately?? 😂😂
“See, there’s nothing wrong with it” less than 2 minutes into the review 😂😂
My first graphics card was a Voodoo II
Voodoo 1 for me, after that a voodoo 3 :)
Tseng Lab ET 4000 ISA for me, early 90s.
320m I guess
some intel graphics lol
thats old
Linus violently flipping over a PC box made me want to vomit a little bit.
hes pretending to be a console player
Dude I watched him lay his bare hands on a ball of wires from an AliExpress 3500 watt power supply just to add emphasis while he was talking lmao. One time he also was putting thermal paste on a multi-thousand dollar server CPU and waving his hands around while talking, dropped a fat rope of thermal paste into the socket, didn't bother cleaning it up and killed the server 😂😂
what a sad life you live guy.
@@project_Akira what?
@@Ryan83728 But he hates controllers.
Better re-assess Linus' review man after whats happening with his company at the moment
"where's mine" -Yes that was awesome
I do want to say "Thank You". I am one of the Whales Getting it, and will make a video when it comes in the mail. It was awesome to play on during the LTXExpo 2023.
I love those cases and I will never go back to regular cases
that case comes with an anti sag attachment. and the metal around the psu can be removed. its not necessary that case was literally made to have every part removable
My first graphics card was a 3dfx Voodoo card with 128 mb of memory. Wow, I'm old now.
Just add some fishing line from the edge of the backplate or shield to the top of the case , almost invisible, cheap, effective.
I didn’t see at the beginning of the video, that should’ve included that there was an ad it. Since most of the video not all was an ad.
you should do some in the Lian Li 011 mini. or the 011 mini air. Also need a custom anime case!
With ur setup and the 4090 how many FPS are u getting in D4?
My first PC too I had the side case open and just put a fan directly on it.
My first graphics card was a Diamond S3 Virge Stealth 3d with 4 megs ram.
My first graphics card was a Cirrus Logic VGA card with 256KB of VRAM.
I built my first PC in 1995 and went with a Voodoo Banshee so yeah, I'm 'that' old and I've never stopped gaming.
1996 for me and I didn't have a 3D card until, I think, the very late 90s. As did you, probably, since the Banshee wasn't available in 95… and neither was any 3Dfx card or 3Dfx-based card.
For everyone who is saying that the Radeon 4650 is old as dirt, remember dude's in his mid 20's. He made that video 12 or so years ago and was around 10 when the video card came out so it was fairly new at the time.
He was born in 1990 so he was 18 in 2008 when the Radeon HD 4650 was released
"the internet plug stopped working" 🤣🤣🤣
You'd think Starforge would actually supply the brace for that heavy ass videocard in its 10k pricetag. lol
10:59 yeah, the oldest i can remember was radeon 4850 cyclone edition (chunky radiator around and a massive fan in the middle. and it was f brilliant!!!!!!!!
dang i would love to have one of those!
What kills me is this man has the money to buy a private jet and recreate his studio in the plane. He could literally play WOW in a replica of his home while flying. But does not want to travel. Keep being humble Asmon. You are a great man.
I thought you were going to say that the graphics card was almost as big as the starforge systems logo.
07:06 the lights changing colours made me coom 😍
5:11 yes asmon they are useful . in my case for exemple , my lan chipset is fucked . why ? i dont know , just once in a while , my ethernet adapter decides to forget my default gateway adress . checked it up online and yes , its common among gigabyte b550 and x570 lan chipsets . so buying an intel 10gig nic for example (as 8gbps symmetrical fiber might rollout in no further than 2 years) makes sense .
“The card fells off” 😅❤
Out of curiosity, Intel chips like the 13900(k/ks) has 20PCIe lanes. So will not this NIC either have to share lanes with NVME SSD or graphic card?
Nope, the 13900K has 16 PCIe 5.0 lanes, the 4090 uses PCIe 4.0, so only 8 lanes are used for the graphics card.
This leaves you with 8 PCIe 5.0 lanes and 4 PCIe 4.0 lanes, M.2 uses 4x 4.0 lanes so you have 8 PCIe 5.0 lanes left.
The Presto card that is in the final build has PCIe 3.0 x4, so you still have 7 PCIe 5.0 lanes left.
You should start shipping to Europe, would love to buy one here from Czech Republic :))
They ship to europe too now
I love I love how you are actually watching reviews and acknowledging that they exist like you actually truly care to improve. Like you are taking the criticism and doing something about it or like at least listening to it. 😂
the 4090 should come with an 90° connector. so your 12 pin isn't pressing against the glass plate.
need a minidesk elite style, so i can bring it overseas when i travel. i like to pack extremely light even for lengthy 1-3+ year stays will only bring what can fit into a backpack
The logo again. He had to mention it 😂
the first graphics card i had was an ATI Radeon HD4350 !!
You are NOT prepared
i probably need a new monitor since its already over 10 years old and the monitor i had before it were those big fat ones. but it kinda brings back nostalgic feelings now that i thought about it.
Linus always just throws things around and forces in plugs and wonders why the stuff he touches breaks lol
These network cards are basically a requirement past Gigabit Ethernet most computers don't come with onboard 10 gig Ethernet gaming PC's are only just starting to come with 2.5 Gig networking
there's nothing wrong with a Slong for a logo i think it's a cool logo
did they auction it afterwards
My first videocard was S3 ViRGE. My first 3d-accelerator was Voodoo II.
I remember the Voodoo2..built a system back in the day with it and a Diamond Stealth video card. The Monster3D Voodoo2 also had hardware MPEG2 (DVD) decoding, which was relatively new at the time.
amd rage 128 for me! ran soldier of fortune pretty well
Everyone should start measuring things in cats
my first gpu was a AMD Radeon xfx hd 6950. got it from ebay. propably from a miner back then.
Teleportation Service Idea. You inject them with a potent toxin to put them to sleep. Then you fly them to destination via cargo plane, stacking them on top of each other to save space. Then upon arrival you take them off the plane and inject them with the antidote.
From their perspective, they were instantly transported from A to B.
He's censoring the specific area Linus is having trouble with with his cam window
My first GPU was in a '97 laptop and it was an S3 if that even means anything to anyone reading this. It had whopping 8 mb of memory.
the cyberpunk driving ai has come far from launch
@10:00 get an RV with starlink and game in the back and have someone drive you to the events
I think my first GPU was the ATI Radeon x1900 xtx
I have that card in a 4080 variant, it is crazy big and definitely needs the shipped anti-sag bracket but it wont fit alot of motherboards as the mobo mounting holes have to line up. It doesnt work with my Mini ATX and I dont think it works with mini ATX generally so you need a separate bracket.
My first gpu was a nvidia geforce 7600gs and it was inside of a hp pavilion laptop with a dual core cpu and 2GB of RAM!! I saved up all summer and paid $1.8k for it back in 2007. I was the first of my friends to be able to play Wow without lag, and it was great!
I paid 2k for that laptop and Bioshock was running great.
Haha, i also have some ancient GPU which fan fell off years ago. I found some case fan and direct it on GPU and it works.
I liked your PC design. I want to buy.😊
Asmon if you need a travel buddy, I would be down to travel with you 😅
my first graphic card in 2001 was GeForce MX 200 32mb 😅
My GPU history is quite weird
NVIDIA Riva TNT -> ATI Radeon 7000 -> Intel Extreme Graphics 2 -> Intel GMA 3000 -> NVIDIA Quadro FX 1800 -> GTX 660 -> GTX 960 -> GTX 1080
Laptop GPUs: Intel GMA 950 -> ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 -> Intel HD 4000 -> GT 730M
The GTX 660 was the first card I bought separately and also the first time I upgraded a GPU in a system.
A shade of blue that matches the Aero logo on the GPU would have looked a lot better.
top of the line and gigabyte are never in the same space.
I'm wondering 2. Where's yours at. Love your videos.
They didn’t send Asmond one because they saw that video where he keeps his on the carpet 😬
