Hi Asmon. From working in the contact center at a very high level for many years, I can tell you that I've worked with a lot of companies that are kind of similar in terms of warranty, caller volume, and actual receipts. (I set up the entire costumer service system for Igloo Coolers). It's very challenging. The CS to QA feedback system is of crucial importance. Sending back the right data to the right people at the manufacturing/assembly centers is a critical component and it's very difficult to get right. Good luck on your endeavor, just pay attention to that communication chain and you'll do a lot better.
while this is a great post full of experience. Igloo's logo does not look like a cock and balls in a diamond. so starforge will sell a lot more Pc's than igloo has sold coolers. =)

I share a Minecraft server with my nephews, and one day I decided to make an underwater house using a youtube tutorial. The house has a tube that goes up to the surface and circular walls/windows. I spent several days making it and was really fucking proud of it. Then my nephews log on and I show them my masterpiece, but they just giggled at it. Turns out I had made something that looked more like a giant PP than a house.

@@MyKingDodo The Josh Strife Hayes reacting to Asmon reacting to Josh Strife Hayes part, 100% yes, that's happened a couple of times (though the 2nd time got derailed very early on by Josh then also simultaneously reacting to an active livestream of Zepla reacting to him, so Asmon mostly just occupied one corner of the screen, as kind of a mascot), but - so far at least - Asmon has not then further reacted to those reactions of his original reaction. Probably because *those* reactions were 3+ hours long (and hilariously, on the "clips" channel for Josh, in their entirety).

I had never been to your channel, or. Seen any of your videos before, but a couple days after watching Linus’s review of your company’s PC, CZcams suggested your reaction to his review, and I REALLY enjoyed it (you had me on the floor during the “penis rocket” section.)
It's wholesome dude, your unique as fuck and love to see someone genuine. Especially when you apply that to a business model which is usually all shirt and collar, instead we are seeing human interactions involved in the thinking process.

What's worse is the poor bugger doesn't realise he is making it worse by continuing to react to it. Like I am pretty sure Linus and Luke wouldn't have memed it up as much as they did on the Wan show if Zach hadn't reacted to it so much watching the review. I feel a bit bad for Zach, but anyone that knows how Linus mind works knows that everything is a dick joke and everyone in his sphere of influence (or at least just within LMG) Pick up on it as well. I'm a big fan of boutique systems and have one myself(bought it about year ago). At first glance thought the symbol a guitar but ya the longer you look other ideas pop into mind. I really don't care what's said as long as the systems good and supports provided(mind had issue about 9 months in and resolved very fast). Good luck Starforge (the Co. with the a Thor Hammer).

I bought my first prebuild Tower PC at a Company close by here, it was a complete mess from the beginning.
The Fan was making noises, like there was a Metal piece in it, the Cooler was malfunction, I had to replace both of them myself, my Graphic Card was apparently old or a returned one, that also broke after like 1 or 2 Months, it was an absolute shitshow, I bought my new PC at MSI, never had any issues with my Laptops from them, big props

It popped off because you crossed the streams. Crossover events are always a bit cooler than both content media alone. I watch vids from both your channels so when I see LTT doing their thing and it's related to your stuff, of course I have to watch it. But, you did such a great job responding to his feedback that I felt the NEED to share it with friends. It had me cracking up so loudly when you tried to defend the logo. That was pure comedic gold! :D

I think the fix for the whole tech support thing would be to partner with an already big retail brand that has the capability to provide needed tech support such as Best Buy or Micro Center. It would allow you to continue to make money off of the product, while also allowing customers to get the support and assistance they need. It would also put ANOTHER reputable name behind your company, compelling others who may not have heard of you to purchase. In exchange for this, you could allow places like best buy and micro center to sell these units as well, and give them a percentage of the units they sell.

I respect the fact Zach listens to the criticism publicly then acknowledged it and tried to change things to make a better product so even if the original product was "subpar" newer iterations will be a honest upgrade for consumers benefit. It's a nice change from corporate.

i wish people generally stopped seeing it as an attack on their character, and it is honestly concerning that it is seen as as something corporate usually doesn't take well.
Just look at how Shadowlands was handeled, and how the developers handled the feedback on Covenants.

To be honest I didn't thought about it at first though. Some weapon has a big bump handle, it's not like weapon don't have a handle like that afterall so I thought that made sense. And even Thor weapon is a hammer, just without the big bump handle thing. And maybe it's just me but I think the whole Hammer with the name "star" made sense too cause Thor use Hammer and his a God that travel through space and stuff. Lol XD

Most of the time, I don't like reaction videos. Especially when the guy sit through it and only blow from the nose two or three times and that's it. Asmon is the literal god of reactions xD He turns everything he watches into gold. I am not even mad, that's amazing. I can watch a reaction of a reaction and have a sincere and genuine laugh. Thanks for that !
I bought a prebuilt pc. I was happy with it. super pretty and shiny all that. My problems started when I turned it on....

I think it has to do with viewers watching either you or linus? And algorithm picks up easier on that.
At 7:25 he makes a good point. You can statistically (if you have the business segment data) determine how much the average cost will be per PC sold for repairs, returned merchandise, etc. It's just like calculating what is going to be "bad debt" in companies. Everything can be measure and prepared for, if you know what you're doing.

Who’s old enough to remember when CZcams had a section for video responses? I was annoyed when that was removed. It has only just started to be used frequently, and then it was gone.
One day, all videos on CZcams will be a series of reaction videos of these reaction videos of reaction videos.

A minimal change you could make to the logo is to detach the arrow thingies on the sides from the hammer, so it's more clear that the star is in the middle. Right now it lines up too well with said arrows

Guess you could just add color and detail to make it a obvious hammer. Keep the same shape but make the hammer steel and the handle wood,make the end cap ornate. Maybe change the shape of the end cap a tad.

The reasons Asmon can’t see it in his logo is because his eyes see the border at the bottom of the logo as part of the hammer. Now imagine the border is separate from the hammer. Yeah... lol

As a new company, changing the emblem now could cause consumer confusion. Companies change logos, they are not set in stone. But getting started, that emblem is the company. I would say roll with it. If Starforge is running strong five years from now, change it, if it is still an issue or just ready for a refresh. But also, this may have come to be because it is difficult to not be surrounded by "yes" people. Nobody spoke their mind in the unvailing meeting because they want to move up the ladder. And quickest way has been to be a "yes" person.

The whole issue with the logo can be understandable. It only takes 1 person to point something out, then it can never be unseen. Just think of Jeff Bezo's Blue Origin. I doubt he wanted to ride a penis rocket, but that is what he got. I guess you can either roll with it, or change it if it hurts that bad. Honestly, a company that rolls with it, and uses it to it's own advantage wins points in my book.
All Rockets are Phallic in shape. Its the only aerodynamic shape for a single thrust vector.

The logo is easy to fix, just have the hammer a different colour, so the shape of the hammer is more clearly defined against the border. Move the star slightly higher and to the right.
yeha id advise a skintone colour for that one and add some black stripes because the hammer is already used and rough, so the stripes indicate scrapes
they could just launch a new logo in a few years and do a brand revamp and say its to emulate other big companies, like that jontron video about corporate logos

I just noticed that my DIY Lian li pc build has the blinking power button that Linus made such a stink about. I mean...they're small plastic pin sheaths that most manuals don't make it easy to do correctly. Shit, my server build I'm still using a screwdriver to start because I can't be bothered...so, to each their own.
