The internet isn't a country. It has no Constitution that gives users the right to free speech. If it's not written into a website's ToS, they can do what they want on their platform, no matter how unfair or biased it may be.

So i wouldn't be too surprised over finding out some random tweets saying all kinds of nasty stuff. It's less about targeted indoctrination and manipulation and more about the fact that on the internet writing angry, negative posts are rewarded with more attention than any other kind of posts. This feedback loop makes the internet in general a hostile place.

Asmon is trying to equate the collapse of society with a ban offense on the internet, and it's far more complex a problem and more destructive than any of us want to talk about than just that, that is one aspect of it but the cause stems from the places that create the mindset of doing things like this is good "for reasons".

Neither side actually has any dedication to free speech. Stanning freedom of speech is just what the side with less mainstream support does until they regain said mainstream support. After that, freedom of speech just gets dropped by whichever side was using it and picked back up by the side that was previously against it.

Well, for people out of the loop, the term isnt new, been around for 16 or so years, its just that its being used on people and situations that dont really fit the extreme meaning of the term, often by people who dont know what it implies.
Has happened with a lot of words or terms, people find a word they think points in a direction, then use it for anything they disagree with, despite the meaning being different.
