When are we cooking together brother! Lets make this happen.
ull probably have to go there tho ahahaha
hes too lazy to go anywhere but chipotle
Guga, I'm a fan and feel the need to tell you this. Asmon is not a mere mortal and acts almost like a deer, if you get to close to quickly, he will run away 😂
I'm not even sure Guga Steaks would get Asmon out of his house. Big fan of both channels, glad this crossover happened haha.
Hell yea! Collaboration of century LETSSS GOOOO!
YES DO IT
Dude! This video was awesome! Thank you so much for reacting and you are da man!
Can’t wait to see you make it and see the video! 🤘😁
Great video you made with Guga, keep it up!!
If ausmon does collab with guga will you be there too brian?
OTK vs Pro- chefs cook off!
Yes! So wholesome.
Dude! All that lead to this Asmongold reaction vide is a frickin' way more bigger honor than getting that Uncle title lol!
It's crazy for so many reasons... 1. a 2$ steak turns into content for years for dozens of channels and 2. it turns out that asmon is actually a culinary genius.
"That's actually pretty good."
The sheer "told you fuggin so" smile at that moment had me wheezing. 😂👌🏻
Turned a 2 dollar steak into a franchise.
The Ozmangold steak cinematic universe
"Ozmangold" sounds so turkish
Now we just need someone to actually launch Asmon's steak as a restaurant franchise.
@@MSnow-pu4qsalright, bring in SaltBae 😂
My man
Brian Tsao: "That's his genius. He puts the butter first at low heat to create a pan sauce without ruining the butter's flavor."
Asmongold: "A burnt pan is hard to clean-"
Tsao: "Truly a prodigious mind!"
BTW, if one doesn't like scrubbing pans, deglazing the pan with some cheap wine is super smart.
@@elheber but now you have to buy cheap wine and think about where to put it
@@elheberalso gotta keep figuring out how much you have left
@@cameroninc2086I mean, sure but the amount of brain space that should take up is MINIMAL. Hell, I usually have cheap but good tasting wine that is a little more expensive than what they use in the video regularly on hand for the occasional glass, myself. These days now that I'm trying to steer away from the kind of consumption I had before when I was working a high stress job and hated every single waking moment of my life for it, I find myself typically stocking the house with a couple of bottles of wine, or mead, a case or so of Guinness , and then one nice bottle of Scotch or Rum per quarter of the year.
@@doublevendettayou see that’s just wasting brain space though that could be used for more important things
He just completely accepts that this isn't some creation of culinary genius, he's just minimizing his time in the kitchen so he can maximize his time gaming
Thats why we call em gamers
As a Mexican and native American, we cook what we have and the cheaper the better. Its nice to see chiefs trying common food. Because its not about the quality it's about making the best of what you have.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
It's not that deep. Like at all.
Dude I grew up poor and cooking garbage like this has nothing to do with money lmao. This is literally just living like a neck beard.
nothing pretentious, just salt your food REAL good, and you don't need anything fancy whatsoever. americans really undestimate salt.
I fear not the man who cooked 10,000 steaks once, but I fear the man who cooked 1 steak 10,000 times and reacted to other people making his steak.
Quote by Bald Lee
Aren't those literally the same thing? That's not how you use that saying
@@dixen9116 you aren't balding to understand the quote
@@dixen9116 wooooosh
@@dixen9116" Don't look at the finger pointing to the steak, but follow its direction and see the steak for yourself. "
This is the proof that Asmongold was definitely studying business back then. Dude turned a meme-tier $2 steak video into an empire for reaction content where everybody profits off it.
this was like a thousand times more wholesome than i thought it would be
which is weird because i watch guga and asmongold and know they are both great
but somehow i thought this was going to not mesh well .
never was i so happy to be wrong
Really enjoying the steak series. May it continues and keeps bringing us the fun content... :)
What I learned from this video:
1: Guga & Friends approved of the Goblin Slab that is Asmons $2 steak
2: Leather can taste good with enough seasoning
3: Asmon apparently has a +65% Poison Resistance
Are we really surprised by that last bit, considering we are talking about Daemon Prince of Nurgle Asmongold
He is the only warrior with a poison dispel
rather, poison immunity. Grandfather Nurgle would be disappointed by anything less than that.
Don’t forget that asmon has random pans show up
@@AtlasGaming-1993 Yeah, Asmongold already looks like a Lich, so I can definitely see how he would have poison resistance
The steak video must be asmons most famous and profitable video. The ammount of content this video has provided is amazing.
yea it must be surreal to asmon seeing this trend continue. I'll laugh if one day he starts appearing on some of these guys' channels to cook the steak
This becomes cultural trend
content genius tbh
The steak heard 'round the world.
Lightning in a bottle
Every single time Asmon starts clarifying something, i get all prepared for crazy knowledge... Instead i get, "it's easier to clean this way". 😂
I would love to see Asmond make the recommended recipe in the video. The 2$ steak one was pretty fun and it helps a person like me who likes the min-maxed cook time and prep, and I want to see him try the new thing
OTK needs to capitalize on Chef Asmon's popularity already and do their own version of Iron Chef. It's called "Gold Chef", where contestants try to out-lazy each other with Asmon-inspired dishes in order to gain his favor. it would be HUGE
Omfg lol I hope he sees this
I normally don't really watch cooking show stuff. I would watch this lol.
Yes! And that’s actually how normal people cook. Even a lot of real life cooks I know cook lazy at home.
I know a guy who was previously a professional chef, hides his chef certification from his wife for years just to avoiding cooking at home. And his wife is a shit cook.
Chairman Asmongold unveiling every theme ingredient like kraft cheese and sausages and jerky
@@Telopeadthe irony being most professional recipes are lazier than home recipes
Asmongold's $2 Steak is starting to sound like a name brand product I'd find in the meat section.
I wonder if anyone at OTK has pitched that at some point. Unironic genius marketing idea.
Right next to the Hungry Man Salisbury Steak
If that other dude can have his own energy drink, I think Asmon should have his own steak brand.
Maybe with pre-packaged sauce and potato included. Like a TV-dinner for gamers
Asmongold, listen to this person. Genius idea. And do pop-up restaurants too.
I'd buy that for a dollar!!!!!
This is going to be a case study of content creation when that becomes a college course one day. The amount of content Asmongold has made off one video is crazy
Chef Mike is an old cook joke. People go to restaurants expecting all this chef made food, but a shit ton of it is just prepared and later heated back up in the microwave. We'd always joke about Chef Mike working too hard or needing a break, lol.
How the hell is this $2 steak the gift that keeps on giving? Bloody hilarious!
no its not bloody, its cooked all the way through and then some
they can't say bad things otherwise they get demonetized due to automated anti bullying detection
as a long-time guga fan, i can tell 2 dollars for a steak was double guga's regular budget a couple of years back, when he fermented eyeround-steaks in pineapple mush on a weekly schedule
Exactly
@@MikePhantomthey said some things but they actually enjoyed his steak. Freaking Guga kept eating it lol.
Only Asmon would admit to knowingly eating wasp poison and then compare himself to people who reach 100 years in the same video. Bless him.
those are the type of people who make it to 100 tbh
@@driftsmoke802 Like Mithridates, his resists are now immunities

they made doner kebab by accident
🤣🤣😂
"My favourite food of all time is beef jerky"
That explains sooo much.
This is so meta, seeing Asmongold react to a video from Brian Tsao reacting to a video from Guga, reacting to a video from Asmongold... Full circle 😂
I really like how Chef Brian explained the secret behind the $2 steak: starting off cold and cooking fast so the butter doesn't burn and letting the liquids boil out and form a sauce.
NO NO NO! No oil! Cook that dang 2 dollar steak as Asmon intended, or go kick rocks.
@@Dave-oe7rywoah slow down there mister. Starting to sound more like a 3 dollar steak there buddy. Gotta mid max that cooking time broski.
@@Dave-oe7rysee you’re already forgetting that the butter wont burn because the pan isnt hot enough.
the gift that keeps on giving! how much more ad revenue can Mr. Asmongold farm from his steak video? the answer is yes
All of it
Forever
min maxing view gain ! lets milk the steak containt for all it gives xD!!
1:09 yes 🧐
He can now afford 3 dollar steak
This is a crossover I didn't expect. Awesome, all wholesome people. I feel way healthier being skinnier and move around easier.
Them Won Ton tacos from Applebees are fire
I hate cooking, and in all my years, being a typical bachelor, or in a relationship, nothing has motivated me to cook, chef videos, etc etc ad nauseum, i am with you on the efficiency...and your minimalist steak video has motivated me more to want to try cooking than anything before. So well done, 10/10.
So how is your cooking turning out?
Someone in OTK needs to run a food truck for content, and the $2 steak has to be a menu item
$2 steak and pizza, the only two items on the menu. Each pizza takes 1 hour to cook
Im pretty sure to keep the price that low, you have to violate some health/clean (sorry not sure the proper word here) laws. Like loot as Asmons kitchen.
(for 3 dollars)
I would eat the hell out of the 2 dollar steak
@@pyrojkl Hey... no cap, rich people pay extra for " premium 3 day aged, slow cooked for 73 hours" type food.... market that 1 hour pizza right and it'll sell gangbusters!!! haha
the amount of content that has come out from that steak video is unreal
Kinda like Linus's video, where he couldn't understand how Asmonds reaction had more views than his original video.
All that content for 2 dollars
"And I just ate it" minute 17, I think I was about to vomit my liver laughing.
The gift that keeps giving lol! How many super entertaining videos have been farmed from this steak video? Great job!
I was not prepared for asmongold to tell a story of how he ate a steak lightly covered in wasp poison 😂😂😂😂
Aw damn I've been spoilt lmao that's what I get for scrolling comments during the videya
Asmongold was correct about the safety of wasp spray only by accident. Typically they are insect-nerve agents that block sodium channels and stop their nerves from working. But the most common agents are pyrethrins which are mostly harmless to humans, especially when ingested (broken down in the GI tract instead of absorbed).
@tylisirn yes the 99 percent petroleum is what would be bad for humans but still won't kill you
Lol only he would tell everyone about the wasp spray
Came for the steak but stayed for the gooey plastic fork and sprinkles of wasp poison 😍
Never heard of this dude until a few days ago and I can’t stop watching him watch people make his steak. What a blessing to the workd
1 steak to unify us all
Same😂
that $2 steak is an infinite money glitch.
Yeah theres something about him, i found him a few months ago when he was watching people review his gaming pcs
I do like how they 'improved' it. All the prep they did is the kind you can do and toss in a tupperware and then just toss it all on at once.
Chef Brian Tsao is absolutely amazing, love his stuff
I've never seen a $2 steak get such milage. Certainly we live in strange and amazing times 🙏🏻
Hey, these days are hard days. People don't want to waste money for what you are going to shit out anyway.
They see the views on all the videos and want to react
That steak got more mileage than Sasha Greys beef flaps

The look of vindication on asmon's face when they rated his steak
19:21 - Tasting begins.
Ngl didn't like your channel much until I watched a few videos an got to know you. You're funny af dude keep it up brotha
as a big fan of guga for years, i have already seen the video and i know what happens. you can clearly tell asmongold did not see the "surprising turn of events" when brian revealed asmongold's steak is actually delicious completely by accident XD
edit: can't wait to see him make his version
Pest control professional here. Most wasp sprays are extremely neurotoxic so that they kill the wasps very fast (so you dont get stung). That's why they have little wasp seizures on the ground after you spray them.
Yeah, but on the other hand, he spent like 10 whole minutes on that stake, already. Can't throw that away
@Mbeluba it's a calculated risk... I'm betting he's not good at math
And tastes sour
Apparently
$2 Steak became a whole content arc on CZcams. What a time to be alive.
14:41 "The steak is dead."
Me and Asmon simultaneously: "That's a good looking steak."
He has ascended beyond humanity in the realm of cooking steak, Steakmongod.
Asmon is like an RPG character that has 80+ in most stats but like a 2 in hygiene.
Dudes stats are more like mid rolls at absolute best.
I'd say his base natural strength stats are high. But he has never grinded xp for strength, so his strength stat is pretty low.

Asmon should make his own two dollar steak franchise, would be great competition to salt bae.
these steak video-ception you've created makes me so happy.
4:07 Only Asmond can turn buying oil into a traumatic life experience 😂😂 man I love you!!
Who knew a $2 steak could shake the foundation of the cooking world
☠️
The wasp knew, but never got to taste that steak...
Hey you're a champ. Love your reaction. Many get all hurt. I get the 0 maintenance idea. I don't enjoy cleaning...
Asmongold's process of making a steak is exactly how you should feel about sandwiches. The process of making the sandwich takes a longer time in assembling it than ever eating it. The clean up is sometimes messy if you got bread crumbs and ingredients all over the place.
This steak thing is endless content. Love it.
This 2$ Steak is essentially an example of doing 20% of the effort for 80% of the result, compared to the best steak you can get. And 80% of the best steak is still a good steak
would probably feel better making a pan of hamburger than this steak. you can then put it in the baked potato with some shredden cheese, salsa, and sour cream and you have an "idaho taco"
@@jamescheddar4896 Solid idea. But what if you wanted a steak and not an idaho taco?
@@Necrosphereical use the right cut of meat and stop acting like a roman legionaries meat ration for the week is a steak

@@jamescheddar4896different types of steak are still steak. You watched the video right?
"I don't know where I got this pan. It just showed up" had me laughing so hard 🤣
After cooking your steak an easy way to start cleaning the pan is to deglaze it with some of your favorite frozen vegetables. Turn off the stove and toss them around while the pan's still hot; they'll soak up the seared seasoning and make the pan much easier to clean. You can even suck the seasoning off the vegetables before throwing them in the garbage if you want 👌👍
Lmao why woudnt you just eat the vegetables?

big dubs bro, enjoy your steak!
I'm eating a steak while watching this.
she probably thought you were craving steaks thats why u were watching steak content
Asmon's favorite food being jerky makes this steak make so much more sense.
The Asmongold 2 Dollar steak saga is the premier content of this channel.
Ghee/clarified butter can handle the higher temps so you can sear in butter. Box wine lasts a lot longer than bottles but also get a silicone wine bottle stopper
If Mr. Beast can get a line of chocolates, Asmon can get a line of steaks. Lets go.
I like how they never disrespected your cooking style. Everyone has their own take and preference when it comes to the kitchen. They took your version and did their own take on it. Really cool IMO.
As for dirty pans, there is some ways you can make things easier and add more flavour. If a pan is too hot and you have brown (not black) stuff to it, take the contents out then add water. You will get gravy! The natural sugars and salt in the meat give you that fond in the pan. This is why they were adding liquid back in and also makes it a ton easier to clean.
Also, you need a dishwasher. Would make your life 10 thousand times easier. I also need one too. This flat I am renting is sh3t!
why get a dishwasher when you have paper plates and WoW 😂
Carefully with hot fat and water tho
There is plenty of disrespect lmao this video is filled to the gills with sarcasm, and deservedly so
He has said he already has a dishwasher.
@@ZawaOnCZcamsit’s not disrespectful, even Asmon schtick is tongue-in-cheek (exaggerated) and they are just lightly jabbing him with sarcasm. They didn’t hate on Asmon as person, they just think his way of doing things is a bit odd.
Guga was a lot more critical and slightly disrespectful in the first video. Tbf to Guga, he had no idea what he was watching because he didn’t know Asmon, and had the humility to admit he might have been a bit harsh in this video
Middle of video... were you talking Torchy's Tacos? I visit Colorado regularly, but don't have it in my home of SLC UT. Honest question, and the captions change every time
Respect to Asmon for this video, and for playing all of Tsao's video, including the ads
Brian Tsao is a real one, I wish he did more cooking content but he primarily focuses on reactions. Still a good channel
making cooking content is a lot of work and with his own restaraunt and newborn he probably doesn't have a lot of time at home for it. Sad realities of life.
his restaurant is damn good too, if you're ever in the area
@AIrider08 yeah he took a step back to manage the restaurant and be less hands on so he could work on more content
Nothing has me laughing more the past year then the $2 steak videos. And the saga continues 😂
Asmongold looking for a 3rd bottle of A1 sauce for a full minute is the best kind of 2012 internet vibes
pan hot, bit garlic, thyme ,rosemary with a piece oil, sear steak until coated in maillard, then glace it after with butter until medium rare, let it rest. for me this is the go to recipe to every kind of steak.
Somehow this damn $2 steak is the defining moment of asmongold career 😂
somehow, this steak goes beyond gaming community
@@blueiru7351 yup. It penetrated the foodtubers. Next, we see Nick and Uncle Roger trying the $2 steak. If we get to see Gordon Ramsay getting his hands on it too, then Asmongold can cement his steak as legendary.
Its like watching 2 nuclear scientists make a lava volcano for a kid's presentation
I feel so awful for his girlfriend. She obviously doesn’t have a good support system in life. I hope boogie doesn’t hurt her too much and she’s able to recover and find the good, healthy relationships that she deserves. Boogie is slowly but surely turning into Jabba the Hut. And I'm here for it.
Glad to see I'm not the only one seasoning in the pan lol, it works for a lot of things and is less work than mixing stuff up in a bowl or whatever. And yeah their other version with spices and cooking longer with chicken or beef goes good in a tortilla with other stuff, can make a lot of it and just keep it in the fridge, lasts a couple days and is easy to heat up.
I'm amazed at the content still being made about this 2$ steak.
His mother cooking the steak that he now cooks himself is kinda beautiful
A couple more generations and it would be an heirloom family recipe
At this rate Asmon's going to end up with a honorary culinary arts degree and be invited to give lectures on his cooking philosophy.

white cooking wine with steak is mmmmm not white wine but you can use it. so good especially with onions. the caramalization is so good esp both on the onions and the steak.
The way you made the steak is actually kind of similar to Japanese and Korean barbeque, so I've expected it to be good the whole time. Great job!!
The amount of content this man can squeeze out of one video is next level

Just the amount this steak video has gone out and around the internet now, I mean sure it is a $2 steak but the value in entertainment and reviews is priceless, love it bruh keep it up ya cheap phuck :D
Does Asmon live with his grandma or did she do the decorating!?
And in my experience of Min/Maxing, there always a shit ton of prep work and clean up...planning the time you got, what to do...all the way to cleaning the 12 monster cans and several bags of jerky.
I'm with you on the plastic vs paper plates. I don't know if there's some chemical that you get coming off the plastic or what. But actual paper plates, even if you get some of that in your food, it's just wood pulp. A little extra fiber won't hurt you
Wood fiber is insoluble fiber and your body will simply pass it through your system and it won't hurt you but it doesn't help you in anyway like regular fiber.
