Thanks a lot, old model is less then half of the price of new one in my location. This video helped me a lot to make decision, I’ll probably buy old model tomorrow.
I have a 65” 2024 Frame tv. It’s too small for me sitting 16’ ft away. I’m swapping it for the 85” older model (still matte). It’s $1,500 off so it’s hard to pass on that. Will see next week if I can tell a difference, but if this video shows it’s so hard to see a difference side by side, I doubt I’ll see anything substantial. I can live with off-white for $1,500 off, haha.
2024 looks, especially in the art that was shown, like the bright areas are blown out. Guessing it's the camera but the video made it look like it. If the same $$$ 2024 looks better.
Thank you so much for doing this video! It answered a big question I had which was if the 2024 improved the whites in artmode and it seems they did! I struggle on my moms 2023 version to get white to look like pure white, they tend to look grey or too blue even after adjusting.
Are picture settings exact same? More contrast on the 2024 could lead to blacker blacks and blown out highlights. If settings are the same, technically speaking 2023 is a superior display as you’ll get more detail - if you like the picture on the left more, just mess with the picture settings to your satisfaction.
Both of these were calibrated with the Samsung Smart Calibration through the smart things app while they were side/side. I turned off the eco settings as well.
There are thousands of pieces of art in the art store... i think like 2500 ish. I would assume it's the same for Canada as the US, I don't see any reason why it would be different.
@@pkrhrdk looks like they took the previous version off sale and matched them$$. That's actually a good sign the 2024 will go on sale starting next week! I'd bet. They may have also removed the price lock at a local level (not 100% sure on that) so there is a chance you could see better prices on the old models in store, just not on-line.

The k you for the comparison

I'd love a quick video of how to upload art to the TV
I'll plan on this for next week!! Thanks for watching :)
If I pay for the annual membership how many pics do I get. I live in Canada.

Given the 2023 is on clearance at the moment and the 2024 has marginal gains. I'm going to take advantage of the sale and buy the cheaper one!
I agree 100%!! I would save the few hundred $$ and get the 2023. Thanks for watching, much appreciated!
There is no difference in price

Whould you spend an extra 100$ on the 2024?
I guess the $$ difference is subjective. Me personally, yes... the improvements to IP control and updated software are worth $100, yes.
