  • The Samsung Frame TV, or what some call the Samsung picture frame TV, is back with new features. But is it worth the high price, even with all the cool artwork it displays? After our Samsung Frame TV unboxing, sitting down to watch some movies, and exploring the Art Store selection, these are the biggest pros and cons of this design-centric TV. This video features the 65-inch Frame TV (MSRP: $1,999).

    So what's the point? Would you Buy or Skip Samsung The Frame 2024?

    It looks beautiful and the matte screen is out of this world! I have an 85" in the living, a 55" in the bedroom and a 43" in the study that I use as a monitor for a Mac Mini... Couldn't be happier with all of them! I just hope I will never need to call Samsung as they are (in)famous for their support, or lack of it...

    Just hung up our 75" a couple days ago. The install was straightforward with my only challenge being torn on how high to hang it. Art is meant to be displayed at standing eye level, while TVs should be much nearer to the floor. I went with kind of in between, but closer to art height and it looks great. Plus, our living room has massive windows facing west, so the matte TV screen is a game changer when it comes to reducing nasty glare. Loving it so far!

      I ignore the "TVs should be much nearer to the floor" rule. I never agreed with that general advice. It doesn't make sense in a home with an open design where you watch the TV from multiple viewing distances at different times of day, and if you watch TV while lying on a couch it makes watching TV super awkward. Even when watching mine close up, I've never had neck strain as is claimed if it is higher. Part of the "TV should be low rule" has it that any slight tilt to the neck will be uncomfortable over time. People who say that apparently never tried it.

    The matte screen is really the game changer. I have the Samsung Serif with Matte screen and omg i put my hand like half an inch and no reflection. Making watching movies with my LED lights in my room an amazing experience. Can't wait to build my main game/movie room eventually

      Does the matte screen makes picture blurry?

    • @IdoNomb
      @IdoNomb Před měsícem +1

      @@kingofanonymous not at all. Atleast not mine. Or maybe my eyes can't see a difference. I also have the mini sofa like 5ft from the TV 📺. My version of the TV is 60hrz so it's a blurry as any 60hrz TV.

    I like using the Chromecast Ambient mode. Is there a way to get the Chromecast Ambient mode to turn when triggered by motion/occupancy? I'm not interested in the Samsung art.

    Hey.. Could you please confirm if the "43 inch version" of Frame TV supports 120Hz Variable Refresh rate via any of the HDMI ports for gaming?
    And yes.. thanks for the informative video!! :)

    Just ordered the 2022 model in 85 inch since it is on sale for 2,799 at BestBuy. Could not see why spending $4,500 on the 2024 model was justified. Looking forward to the installation later this month.

    Thanks for the review. Is it right to say that it’s a good tv for bright rooms to put in front of a window? And does it support dual Bluetooth connection for sound?

      I always had huge problems with seeing the image on my previous Samsung TV’s as I live in a very sunny place and since buying the frame I have never had a problem since it’s amazing I can’t say enough how good the Matt screen is it’s fast enough to be smooth to watch I have mine set very low on the brightness as well it’s right next to huge doors that let light all over the floor and furniture every afternoon and I can see the image perfectly for the price I love it

    The problem is I _do_ care about aesthetics, displaying artwork, _and_ TV performance. The better performers - Samsung’s S95D OLED model and LG’s Gallery series - do not come in sizes smaller than 55” (I need 43”). That size is too large above a mantle, at least without compromising aesthetics or unless your mantle is extra wide. 😢

    We're building a luxury home and I'm not about to put a hunk of black plastic over top of our $20k fireplace. We've got a third floor bonus area to serve as more of a theatre room. If this sounds like you, then absolutely 1000% go with The Frame.

      It’s fooled plenty of people who have visited my home 🤷🏻‍♀️ And that’s besides the point. Even if it didn’t fool anyone, it still looks miles better than a regular TV on your wall 👀

      @@IvonneSpinoza I stand corrected lol

    • @5metoo
      @5metoo Před 27 dny +1

      @@IvonneSpinoza - Yes that is my understanding. LG has a gallery series that is also flush to the wall. It has better viewing angles (also no One Connect box) so for my use it is a better TV but not as good at disappearing as a picture on the wall since it isn't matte (probably why it has better viewing angles) and the artwork on the LG must rotate as a screen saver probably to prevent burn-in. All about tradeoffs. If the viewing angles didn't matter to me I'd go with the Frame, but alas they do so I'll go with LG Gallery model.
