  • I’ve made my share of Samsung Frame videos, installation, reasons to buy, feel free to check those out as needed. But today, I want to go over the most requested tips, tricks, and questions that people ask me about the Samsung Frame.
    I'll start with the answers to questions about the no-gap wall mount, the one connect box, and is the wire "in-wall" rated? Then I'll answer the questions about art mode, the sensor on the TV, and end with if this is a good TV or not?
    Bonus tip, I'll show you how to get the Samsung Frame off... the mount..
    Definitely Like the video to help out the channel and subscribe and ring bell to be notified when I upload a TV review or installation.. I have some fun installs coming up.

    One thing I really like about you is how fast you think. Have watched a few of your videos now, and you would make a good co-worker in the field. After approximately four or five years as an installation and service technician transferred out of the field and into the store. Home and system design as well as sales. There some jobs I would have liked to have done the install myself, but for the most part was much happier in design and sales. Keep up the good work.

    Great review and breakdown of these TVs. FYI, as you mentioned about the OLED TVs they will burn-in. My grandmother, who was a power user burned in her top-of-the-line OLED tv so badly it could not be reset or repaired. It only took one year of almost constant use, but like I said she was a power user who rarely turned her tv off.

    Great video. I would love to see this TV vs LG's gallery series. I live in a concrete house and would like to get the LG GX and run cables in the wall. Cutting channels into the wall, running a conduit, mortaring over it and then repainting sounds like a lot of work. Is there an easier way? In fact, I would love to see you install a tv on a concrete wall and run wires in the wall. But I suppose you don't have access to many houses made of concrete in the states.

    This is the best and most helpful review I’ve seen. I’m now seriously considering the Samsung - 75” or 85” Q90T (vs Q80T) Series QLED 4K UHD Smart Tizen TV. I don’t know if you have reviewed and done comparison Q80T vs Q90T, have you? About 5 days ago BB had $1500 discount, today it is $300 for the 75” and zippo on the 85”. You snooze, you lose. Now this gives me time to really understand. Also, primary purpose for TV is watching sports and movies (apps) and general TV. No gaming. In high rise, so lighting is key. TV will be on fully adjustable arm. I wish you were in Dallas TX, as I would hire you to do install for sure. Seriously great videos and I just subscribed. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi B, one topic you may want to cover with the Frame tv is that the 32" currently doesn't seem to have a 15m cord available for it, although if you contact Samsung they will tell you the VG-SOCR15/ZA is compatible which is not correct (I bought that cable and it definitely doesn't work). Also, it seems the 32" Frame isn't being manufactured by Samsung anymore, and most items (like the slim wall mount and longer One cable) are not compatible with it.

I almost bought a Q70A and I'm all about ambient mode and art mode but I want to do a custom mount possibly and I also wanted to save money. Until this review I didn't realize the Q70 was not as good. I just noticed that this review is from a year ago. Could you please tell me if these recommendations hold true for the 2021 models. This is a very good video. I also watched several of your videos prior to installing my own 55" Frame TV and those videos helped a lot. We ran the fiber optic cable through the wall without a conduit, and put the One Connect Box in the wall also (at the bottom, disguised as a vent with a cover over it that allows access), I thought this was a genious solution, but after hearing what you said I'm afraid it's going to burn the house down! Is it really a risk? It's pretty spacious and breathable in the wall. Great videos btw!

    Thanks for the tips! I've just bought the 43" 2020 Frame for the bedroom, replacing a Q60R from last year. I don't find the picture quality as good and from what I can gather, the Q60R is equivalent to the Q70T this year. But it has the art mode so worth the trade off in my opinion. Definitely couldn't have this as my main TV though, got the Sony A8 for that (or A8H as it's called in the US).

    • @lewisevander
      @lewisevander Před 3 lety

      @BTheInstaller  Před 3 lety +1

      I'm doing a review on the frame Saturday. It's pretty decent for the frame but more expensive because of the art aspect. It's obviously not the same as an oled because the frame is a 500 nit tv but the a8h is 650 or so and has perfect contrast. But it's not good for art, nor would I want to use an oled for that.

    • @BTheInstaller
      @BTheInstaller  Před 3 lety

      Good question. They are lights so they do have a life span. They're not on full bore so it's consuming some power. I'm not sure long term implications but I'm guessing they wouldn't add this ambient mode feature if it really hurt the tv. Many complain that OLEDs get burn in but some lower end LED tvs lose brightness over time. So any tv has a shelf life. I would imagine it would hold up 5-10 years like most Samsung.

    • @4rzaluz
      @4rzaluz Před 3 lety

      @@BTheInstaller Every commercial display losses brightness overtime.. the difference relies within the maximum luminance output available when new..
      So if the tv is 1600nits and you watch it mostly under 600nits, you would never notice the drop even after a decade thats Qled main advantage.. but it becomes an issue for low end tvs or Oleds which are used for hdr frecuently.

      That's also true. The sensor is for the ambient light detection. There may be an IR on the tv as well but it is Bluetooth

    We have a frame on the wall above our fireplace. What sort of sound bars or speaker set ups would you recommend instead of the built in speakers or in addition to them (just adding a sub woofer/etc). I don't want to put the soundbar under the TV, I would instead prefer it on some built in cabinets we have on each side of the fireplace.

    Thanks for your conciseness. I just bought this TV and using it to display art but I noticed when it senses motion after I return to the room, it shuts the art mode off and turns it to TV mode. It might just be a setting, but any advice?

    Very helpful video. In your option 2, if you put the one connect box in an adjacent room do you put the wire through one wall and out the other wall?

    • @BTheInstaller
      @BTheInstaller  Před 3 lety

      Yes. I put in wall, down the inside of wall, and pop out in the back room. I have also put one outside and ran in wall to kitchen cupboard which was awesome too. Just try to use conduit if you can.

      @@BTheInstaller What if you need to connect other devices to the one connect box, eg. an x-box. Does the x-box have to sit in on the other side of the wall with the One Connect Box? Also - can a samsung installer drill a hole through the wall during installation? Do you have any videos on where the hole goes in the wall behind the TV?

    Thanks for your vids, they helped us to install the wall mount and choose this Tv. But how to remove the legs of the Frame 2021 we used before now trying to hang up. They seem not to come off easy and in the manual nothing is noticed and can't find anything online. Any clue?

    this is really helpful, thank you! One thing I'll say though is id find it a lot easier to watch if you didn't have the background music, or at least used something more mellow. So many CZcams videos seem to have this music with fast tapping rhythm that is actually a bit painful lol. Otherwise, brilliant video and like button 'smashed'.

    Will be installing on the wall today using a cantilever mount recessed into the wall, so hopefully can have the best of both worlds.
    Do you know if the 2019 bezels fit the 2020 model, Samsung site says no but I've had numerous people tell me they do, at least when wall mounting? Thanks 😁

    Very thorough review! I installed a 65 inch The Frame a few months ago. One thing I didn’t notice in this review was the sound quality of the built in speakers. Personally, I find the sound quality excellent. Better than my 48 inch Sony or my 43 inch Visio. In fact, I find it good enough that I cancelled my plans to install a 2.1 sound bar. I’m very pleased with the built in sound.
    A question: I wanted to put the cable in the wall, but would have to put some conduit in to meet code. What is a practical size for that conduit since the smallest connector on the cable is the one going to the one connect box which is about an inch across. Is just a straight pipe acceptable or does the conduit have to have a 90 degree bend at each end to keep the cable completely covered in the wall?

    • @BTheInstaller
      @BTheInstaller  Před 3 lety +1

      I use a 2 inch non-split loom conduit. Again its very iffy on the code compliance. They just don't have a good answer in the code book.

      I’m not aware of any issues like that. The 65 inch Frame continues to impress, even with the built in speakers. They sound full and rich, unlike many other TVs with a tinny, tight sound.

    Hi B The Installer, thanks for the Best Tips video. I just bought the Frame 43" TV. Question is there a way to make multiple art pix we select to change every 3 minutes or so ? I thought I saw something on the settings but when I tried it, the picture does not change.
