- I’ve made my share of Samsung Frame videos, installation, reasons to buy, feel free to check those out as needed. But today, I want to go over the most requested tips, tricks, and questions that people ask me about the Samsung Frame.
I'll start with the answers to questions about the no-gap wall mount, the one connect box, and is the wire "in-wall" rated? Then I'll answer the questions about art mode, the sensor on the TV, and end with if this is a good TV or not?
Bonus tip, I'll show you how to get the Samsung Frame off... the mount..
Definitely Like the video to help out the channel and subscribe and ring bell to be notified when I upload a TV review or installation.. I have some fun installs coming up.

is it possible to give me instruction in Swedish, BERTIL
Dear B,
do I still have to buy the frame separately even if I'm opting for black? Is the default bezel it comes with not considered a frame and so I have to buy the frame separately?
Thanks!
@@modo203 No, as he said in the video there isn't much point of buying a black frame.

I very much appreciate how concise you are. Thank you for taking the time to explain everything so well.
Installed this in the uk today, great tv, thanks for the good info. Very happy 😊.
One thing I really like about you is how fast you think. Have watched a few of your videos now, and you would make a good co-worker in the field. After approximately four or five years as an installation and service technician transferred out of the field and into the store. Home and system design as well as sales. There some jobs I would have liked to have done the install myself, but for the most part was much happier in design and sales. Keep up the good work.
Awesome video! Very good questions and super clear answers! Thank you very much. Keep it up!
Just got our Frame TV this week and we are art enthusiasts. This video was great !! Thank you !!!
Thank you for doing this video. This was literally the most helpful video I have found. It answers all my questions and follow up questions!
Excellent concise info...im seriously impressed and I've been watching a lot of Frame reviews. Well done, and THANK YOU!
Great review and breakdown of these TVs. FYI, as you mentioned about the OLED TVs they will burn-in. My grandmother, who was a power user burned in her top-of-the-line OLED tv so badly it could not be reset or repaired. It only took one year of almost constant use, but like I said she was a power user who rarely turned her tv off.
Yeah, you have to use the app that cycles paintings, if you're going to leave it on.
The most informative video on this TV i've seen so far. Thanks!
thank you! This is very helpful. I'm going to watch it again.
So helpful! The remote using Bluetooth was a huge help in understanding if I could mount the box in the adjacent room!
Great overview of this TV. Thanks!
Just installed a 32 frame tv as a computer monitor. Life changing. So clean.
Isn't it too bright?
If not I bet it looks awesome!
top review , great info , just bought the 43" so this has really helped plan the install , much appreciated
Great video. I would love to see this TV vs LG's gallery series. I live in a concrete house and would like to get the LG GX and run cables in the wall. Cutting channels into the wall, running a conduit, mortaring over it and then repainting sounds like a lot of work. Is there an easier way? In fact, I would love to see you install a tv on a concrete wall and run wires in the wall. But I suppose you don't have access to many houses made of concrete in the states.
This is the best and most helpful review I’ve seen. I’m now seriously considering the Samsung - 75” or 85” Q90T (vs Q80T) Series QLED 4K UHD Smart Tizen TV. I don’t know if you have reviewed and done comparison Q80T vs Q90T, have you? About 5 days ago BB had $1500 discount, today it is $300 for the 75” and zippo on the 85”. You snooze, you lose. Now this gives me time to really understand. Also, primary purpose for TV is watching sports and movies (apps) and general TV. No gaming. In high rise, so lighting is key. TV will be on fully adjustable arm. I wish you were in Dallas TX, as I would hire you to do install for sure. Seriously great videos and I just subscribed. Any help would be appreciated.
THANK YOU!
I thought I was going to go crazy looking for these specific answers.
Awesome. Just installed the 2021 frame, check it out.
@@BTheInstaller I've ordered a 65" for my sitting room and three 43" for the bedrooms in my new home here in Australia. I'm hoping the installer here is half as good as you are!
Thank you. I was going crazy trying to fix it. Followed your video and fixed!!!
Thanks man! Pretty interesting facts there and quite practical too! 👍🏻
Great info many thanks
I love this review!!!🤩🤩
Thanks B! Your videos are super-concise and helpful. Forgive me if you address this below, but have you ever run the wire through a lath and plaster wall? If so, what's the best technique for that?
Thank you - this is awesome info all in one place!
Very well explained and useful videos. Thanks!
Awesome video, perfectly explained!!!!! Thanks
thank you so much man this has helped me decide on my purchase and im gonna get one!!!!
Got to do the comparison, I think what’s holding a lot of people back is the quality
Super helpful!! Thanks so much 🤙🏼
BTW, great description on the Frame. Good information. Thanks
100% want a comparison between the Frame and LG GX. Apparently there’s an LG non-OLED gallery tv.
Just got a GX that’s going up this weekend.
Very informative! Thanks a bunch
All I can say is that your video is awesome! May do a 2020 against 2021 frame TVs. And reviews connectivity like HDMI, etc. Thank you very much. 🥰
Appreciated. My frame 2021 video is coming Saturday am.
Hi B, one topic you may want to cover with the Frame tv is that the 32" currently doesn't seem to have a 15m cord available for it, although if you contact Samsung they will tell you the VG-SOCR15/ZA is compatible which is not correct (I bought that cable and it definitely doesn't work). Also, it seems the 32" Frame isn't being manufactured by Samsung anymore, and most items (like the slim wall mount and longer One cable) are not compatible with it.
Thank you so much for this great review, you are super thorough and informative. Quick question, what about sound? Do you need to purchase a sound bar as well?
Thanks for your help and information
Can you do an updated review of the 2021 version? Love your channel!

Very helpful review!!! thank you sir! :)
Nice work. Could you kindly also do a review on the tcl c715 and c815
Very informative. Thank you.
Thanks
Good videos !!! Keep up the good work.
Thanks for this brilliantly ant video
Thanks great review. What I want to know is the difference between the ambient mode or art mode on the cheaper TVs. I almost bought a Q70A and I'm all about ambient mode and art mode but I want to do a custom mount possibly and I also wanted to save money. Until this review I didn't realize the Q70 was not as good. I just noticed that this review is from a year ago. Could you please tell me if these recommendations hold true for the 2021 models. Any indication for the 2022 models? Thanks a lot for your great information.
He answered all my questions 👍👍👏
Did you have to do anything specific to your camera settings so that the TV wouldn't flicker on camera? I'm thinking of getting this TV for the background of my videos, but I'm worried about about making it look good with all of the lighting in my studio
It's difficult. There is issues with LEDs in that respect. I would recommend an OLED...
Great vid. What type of connector /antenna should I buy for my FRAME tv?
Great info. Thanks
Very good Video!! Any ideas on average power consumption when entering art mode? for a small room with a few sofas do you consider that the TV easily detects people? Is there any way to dismantle the cable plug to facilitate the passage inside the tube on the wall? Thanks
This is a very good video. I also watched several of your videos prior to installing my own 55" Frame TV and those videos helped a lot. However, in many of these videos you installed the cable through the stud bay without ant conduit so I thought that was OK and installed mine that way. In this video you said it should be installed in a conduit. Do I need to change my installation and get a conduit installed?
Thanks B, good run down.
We ran the fiber optic cable through the wall without a conduit, and put the One Connect Box in the wall also (at the bottom, disguised as a vent with a cover over it that allows access), I thought this was a genious solution, but after hearing what you said I'm afraid it's going to burn the house down! Is it really a risk? It's pretty spacious and breathable in the wall. Great videos btw!

Great video! Numbers are looking good! keep killing it. Have you found any good ways to switch it into art mode from alexa? may be a good video to make...
Hmm not sure. Thanks.
Nice vid. Would you happen to know if samsung is still bringing out a mini led because all ive heard about is micro led??
Thanks for the tips! I've just bought the 43" 2020 Frame for the bedroom, replacing a Q60R from last year. I don't find the picture quality as good and from what I can gather, the Q60R is equivalent to the Q70T this year. But it has the art mode so worth the trade off in my opinion. Definitely couldn't have this as my main TV though, got the Sony A8 for that (or A8H as it's called in the US).
What specifically in regards to the picture quality do you not like? I think the only difference should be deeper blacks as the q60r has local dimming.
I'm doing a review on the frame Saturday. It's pretty decent for the frame but more expensive because of the art aspect. It's obviously not the same as an oled because the frame is a 500 nit tv but the a8h is 650 or so and has perfect contrast. But it's not good for art, nor would I want to use an oled for that.
are you experiencing any problems with the screen like bleeding, backlight issues etc. like many people are
I installed this TV today, with help from your videos. Thank you. The TV isn't playing well with my receiver. The audio is funky (soundtrack only--no voice). And I'm not super-thrilled about how much light it reflects. Hopefully, I can troubleshoot the receiver issues to get the sound and the picture lined up. Thanks for the videos.
Did you fix those problems?
are you experiencing any problems with the screen like bleeding, backlight issues etc. like many people are
New Subscriber. I can't wait to have The Frame TV.
Fantastic information - thank you as you answered all my questions. One follow up question - can you recommend in wall conduit to run the one wire through? I am in Canada and the in wall one wire is really expensive.
This is a very wonderful video
I just purchased the 50 inch frame TV and your video helped us mount it. Thank you!
My issue is the art mode motion activation function does not seem to work. I set the artwork from free art, put motion sensitivity up to high, but it turns off art mode after a few minutes then never comes back on as artwork when you walk into the room. Any suggestions or what settings I need to have on? I’ve also heard it could be a software thing that needs an update patch. I just updated the tv software after unboxing it. Please help!!!
Greetings from France. Great videos! I’ve got 2 questions.
1- Do you plan to review the 2021 Frame TV?
2- I think you said there is a difference b/w 50inches and above and 50inches and below. Or maybe it was 55inches and above/below? I can’t find where anymore on the video. What are the differences please because I am hesitating b/w ordering the 2021 50inches and 55inches.
Thank you

Great Video, thanks. I am installing a 65 inch over the fire place and believe I have an opening to run the one connect behind the wall to a shelving unit on the left. Understanding the one connect cable is not in-wall rated, is it possible to run conduit first, then run the cable through that? 1.5 inch? Any tips on how to fix it in place behind the wall? Just use a regular snake? Thanks!
This video was super helpful, thank you! I didn't see the link to the 3rd party bezel dealer in your comments. Can you add? Also, I've seen artists selling digital art files on Etsy specifically made for the Frame. Interesting option.
Main thing I like is the no gap mount, do any other tvs have similar options ... I just want it to hug the wall as much as possible. Thanks
Also, are the 2019 bezels metal and 2020 plastic? Last question, I promise...... Loving your videos!
Just bought the bezel, it’s plastic with magnets
Thank you for the video, very helpful. What are the dimensions of the one connect box pleasure?
2017 Gen 1 Frame TV have 2 cords (1 power cable + one connect wire cable). Later versions truly have one cable only.
Can this TV use standard wall support? Or only No Gap? Great video.
Thanks for such an informative video! Does the TV get power through the cable connected to the One Connect box?
Hi B. Thanks for the great video. Question if you can help…where is the control panel located on the TV? Mine is already mounted but I can’t find the manual power button anywhere!
Great video! How do you clean your tv frame screen?
thanks for the video! any issues regarding the wiring in the wall since the one connect wire is technically not “in wall safe?”
Great content! I can't find how to disable the automatic orientation. Is there a way?
Hi B! Thanks for all the info. I was hoping you coule let me know if the wall mount rotates to a portrait view? If not, is there another all mount you'd recommend that allows for this? Would be a great feature to put the TV into portrait mode and flip it sideways when not in use to further the illusion of art instead of tv.
By now you know about the Samsung Auto rotating mount that debuted at CES 2022

Do you have a video showing how to install the low voltage panel that fits the one connect in the wall?
Great vid. Can you get the eARC out to a 3.5mm Stereo jack for input in to my Naim Muso airplay speaker.
Good video !!!
Hi! Nice video! Let me ask; I have a project for an art installation. I'd like to play a video loop in a TV placed vertical. Is The Frame ok for that? Thanks!
Facing major issues of colour banding with the Frame 55 inch, especially when gaming on ps5, series x and one s. My TV is less than a month old. Thanks
So for that "one you owe me now" can you come to Kansas City and install this Frame for me since no one else can seem to figure it out? But seriously, thanks for all of the videos on this TV and the other information beyond the install.
Great review. One question; when in art mode is the tv consuming lots of power? Curious if the TV is "on" all day and consuming power and shortening the life of the TV.
Good question. They are lights so they do have a life span. They're not on full bore so it's consuming some power. I'm not sure long term implications but I'm guessing they wouldn't add this ambient mode feature if it really hurt the tv. Many complain that OLEDs get burn in but some lower end LED tvs lose brightness over time. So any tv has a shelf life. I would imagine it would hold up 5-10 years like most Samsung.
@@BTheInstaller Every commercial display losses brightness overtime.. the difference relies within the maximum luminance output available when new..
So if the tv is 1600nits and you watch it mostly under 600nits, you would never notice the drop even after a decade thats Qled main advantage.. but it becomes an issue for low end tvs or Oleds which are used for hdr frecuently.
When casting from my Apple devices using AirPlay to the Frame TV, it is super inconsistent. Do you know of others who are experiencing this issues? Being able to use with my Apple devices was one of the main reasons I settled on this TV (instead of a new computer monitor.) I googled around and didn't find any great explanations on the issue. Looking forward to your insight and thanks so much!
Probably wifi related. Many people have far worse wifi than they understand. Do you have good coverage? Speed?
Where are the TIMESTAMPS?
I have a 2014 65" Samsung curved TV and I have no intentions of buying this but yet I clicked to watch
install of mine went great, appreciate your earlier videos on how to do it. i am having one issue though, after it’s been on art mode for a few hours it disconnects from the wifi and then will not reconnect. i have to unplug my box and the replug it in to get it to reconnect. ever had wifi issues like this? i’m kinda stumped.
likely it a software thing.... Samsung has pretty good CS they can remote in to tv
Taking delivery tomorrow of our frame
Sweet
Super helpful! Only thing I would add as a tip is to pop the sensor down. Before I did that I had to hold my remote at weird angles to get it to work lol
I show that.
Oops I must've gotten distracted 🤦♂️
But the remote communicates with the box (not the tv) via bluetooth, no?
That's also true. The sensor is for the ambient light detection. There may be an IR on the tv as well but it is Bluetooth
Do you have a video showing the installation of the low voltage panel that you mention at about the 4:40 mark?
Is speaker built into tv or control box ?
Great review BTW😊
We have a frame on the wall above our fireplace. What sort of sound bars or speaker set ups would you recommend instead of the built in speakers or in addition to them (just adding a sub woofer/etc). I don't want to put the soundbar under the TV, I would instead prefer it on some built in cabinets we have on each side of the fireplace.
Thanks for your conciseness. I just bought this TV and using it to display art but I noticed when it senses motion after I return to the room, it shuts the art mode off and turns it to TV mode. It might just be a setting, but any advice?
Thank you
As usual, really great job ! BTW. What did you use as ambilight for your TV's ? I got myslef 75Q90, but I really miss ambilight from my previus Philips TV... Can you give me some tips or make some episode about it on your channel ? I think a lot of subscribers will apriciate it :]
I am working on it. A cheap and a more costly option.
@@BTheInstallerIt's great to hear that you're making material about that matter. Hope to see it soon. Keep up the good job !
Looks nice but I went with the Sony A8H for outstanding hdr movie performance thanks for your reviews!
The Sony a8H is a better tv. 💪
Very helpful video. In your option 2, if you put the one connect box in an adjacent room do you put the wire through one wall and out the other wall?
Yes. I put in wall, down the inside of wall, and pop out in the back room. I have also put one outside and ran in wall to kitchen cupboard which was awesome too. Just try to use conduit if you can.
@@BTheInstaller What if you need to connect other devices to the one connect box, eg. an x-box. Does the x-box have to sit in on the other side of the wall with the One Connect Box? Also - can a samsung installer drill a hole through the wall during installation? Do you have any videos on where the hole goes in the wall behind the TV?
Thanks for your vids, they helped us to install the wall mount and choose this Tv. But how to remove the legs of the Frame 2021 we used before now trying to hang up. They seem not to come off easy and in the manual nothing is noticed and can't find anything online. Any clue?
this is really helpful, thank you! One thing I'll say though is id find it a lot easier to watch if you didn't have the background music, or at least used something more mellow. So many CZcams videos seem to have this music with fast tapping rhythm that is actually a bit painful lol. Otherwise, brilliant video and like button 'smashed'.
Will be installing on the wall today using a cantilever mount recessed into the wall, so hopefully can have the best of both worlds.
Do you know if the 2019 bezels fit the 2020 model, Samsung site says no but I've had numerous people tell me they do, at least when wall mounting? Thanks 😁
I believe they are compatible for wall mounting, but not if you're using a stand
what about that optional easel mount I sometimes see it used with?
Very thorough review! I installed a 65 inch The Frame a few months ago. One thing I didn’t notice in this review was the sound quality of the built in speakers. Personally, I find the sound quality excellent. Better than my 48 inch Sony or my 43 inch Visio. In fact, I find it good enough that I cancelled my plans to install a 2.1 sound bar. I’m very pleased with the built in sound.
A question: I wanted to put the cable in the wall, but would have to put some conduit in to meet code. What is a practical size for that conduit since the smallest connector on the cable is the one going to the one connect box which is about an inch across. Is just a straight pipe acceptable or does the conduit have to have a 90 degree bend at each end to keep the cable completely covered in the wall?
I use a 2 inch non-split loom conduit. Again its very iffy on the code compliance. They just don't have a good answer in the code book.
@@BTheInstaller
Thanks.

@@krishnachaithanyareddy8575
I’m not aware of any issues like that. The 65 inch Frame continues to impress, even with the built in speakers. They sound full and rich, unlike many other TVs with a tinny, tight sound.
Hi B The Installer, thanks for the Best Tips video. I just bought the Frame 43" TV. Question is there a way to make multiple art pix we select to change every 3 minutes or so ? I thought I saw something on the settings but when I tried it, the picture does not change.
